What a nice surprise! We shared Irish Pasty with Cole slaw (and world's most delicious gravy) and a BLT with tater tots. Both were yummy good. We also tried the local OT lager and red ale. Great server! Sat outside on a beautiful Sunday evening. Only downside: apparently Sunday evening is 'cruise down Main Street and rev your engine' night. read more

Great friendly atmosphere. Irish Pub for sure. We had the beet salad which was a wonderful blend of greens, beets, & squash& goat cheese with a tangy dressing. Perfect. The soup of the day was a chili type and served with a biscuit. Nice touch. Great flavor. Andrew was fun and gave great recommendations. read more

Curry with fries was like Dublin. Disappointed in the menu, no Shepherd's pie or Irish stew! WTF! Service was nice and nice atmosphere.

Fatastic atmosphere, servers, beer and food. Colleen is very attentive and efficient. Jill and Gail are fun as usual! read more

Visiting Moncton with a tour group. This afternoon plan was for a lobster boat excursion - I said no way, instead spent the afternoon in the city. So glad I did as I has the best fish and chips (mashed potatoes) ever! Real potatoes! Super tartar sauce so good I wanted to drink it (usually never touch the tartar sauce). And a tasty, light vinaigrette coleslaw. Wonderful service. I sat outside where I enjoyed watching local street life. Afterwards I walked over to see the Tidal Bore! So glad I opted to pass on the faux lobster experience. read more

What a fun pub. They had live music in the afternoon as we walked in for an early dinner. We ordered fish and chips and it was delicious. We enjoyed the music and the dinner. I loved my Guinness, too. read more

We just ate there for the 2nd time on Saturday. Once again we weren't disappointed! The service was great and the food was amazing!. My husband was worried about ordering the $10 steak special but wasn't disappointed and is still talking about it!. I love like absolutely LOVE their Irish nachos I travel a lot and try nachos every where I go and these are by far the best I've ever had!. The waitress was very friendly and patient while answering all my 8 year olds questions and their kids menu is great!. So to sum it up YOU WANT TO EAT HERE! read more

I go to The Old Triangle about 4 times a year. I enjoy the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I had the best burger of my life there a few weeks ago! read more

Who would have thought that an Irish pub would produce a tasty dish like Curry Chicken and smashed peas over chips?? Well, this place does!! It was more like a serving and a half, and it all went down well with a pint of Moose Pale ale. Awesome location on Main Street. Interior is a really warm and welcoming restaurant, but beware, it can get VERY loud in there. Thursday night featured live entertainment which was really nice (for a change). read more

I do not plan to go here again. Our burgers were very dry. I'm sure they were cooked from frozen. The bun was stale. We shared an order of chicken wings. We asked for some hot sauce on the side, which they charged us for. The beer was flat. The service was slow, and the server was cranky. I felt like I was imposing when I asked her for a glass of water - which never came. While it's possible that there are good menu items, it was unanimous among our group of five that everything we ordered was bad. We still talk about it. read more

Was in Moncton for business after a trip to Dublin. Still in the mood I decided to walk in for lunch. The place is dark and pretty close to some of the pubs I experienced in Dublin. They had traditional music piped in which helped the atmosphere. Service is excellent and just attentive enough to not pester. One of the lunch specials were the Fish & Chips. I ordered it with a side of curry for my chips, they kindly obliged with a nice little side; just the perfect amount for $2 extra. The tartar sauce was usual, and the side of cole slaw replaced the mushy peas. Now for the important part...the cod. Unfortunately, this is where they and most places in North America fail. 1. Frozen cod - just wrong 2. Thin and small piece - tsk tsk tsk 3. Batter was dark due to the old cooking oil. Another that falls into the pile of unworthy fish and chips list. I wanted to like this place but the kitchen will have to step it up to match the front of the house. It will be interesting to compare them against the other Moncton establishments. I passed a place called Deluxe Fish and Chips. If I step in, I will let you know what I think. read more

the management really suck and the bartender are dirty and servers too go from money to serve people disgusting

At the Old Triangle in Moncton, customer satisfaction is the least of their concern. If you plan on asking for bread to eat with your meal, be prepared to pay $3.75 for 2 slices of toast with a bit of garlic butter. If you can't eat the potato salad because it tastes and looks like it been prepared 2 weeks ago, don't bother complaining to their chef or manager - they will not offer to replace it with salad or rice, and will not remove the cost from your bill. They will even argue that it is perfectly fine (even if 3 people from the same table cannot eat it). Here is a little advice if you eat at the Old Triangle, - ask for the price of any side dish before they serve you and do not complain about anything, as client satisfaction or even plain courtesy, is definetely not their priority. As for me I will be eating elsewhere and from what I hear so will some of my colleagues. Pierrette in Moncton read more

Stumbled on this place while killing time and wandering thru town. Waiting on a friend I decided to brave what I expected to be an assault of my senses was actually a pleasant surprise. 2:30pm on a Thursday...Potato Nachos and beer...it was ok...service was good, waitress was friendly and helpful. Good place to chill. read more

I ordered the fish and chips with a poutine, and had some of the kettle chips nachos. And I could barely eat it. It made me feel horrible because it's extremely greasy. Your food doesn't have to be drenched in grease to be good. But it all tasted good besides that. That's my only recommendation/opinion. read more

I love this place! We usually visit once a week (for the past few months) and the food is always delicious and fresh. I've tried their hot crab and artichoke dip, fish cakes, pan fried haddock, pulled pork, burgers, chicken curry on chips; all fantastic. Their Greek salad is one of the best I've had; I get that often. They serve brunch on the weekends, and you can't beat their eggs benedict! The eggs are always poached per my request; the ham is tender and flaky and it's on a yummy biscuit. Best breakfast in town. Love the atmosphere of this Irish pub. Good drinks, reasonable prices. read more

Excellent staff, super friendly. Good range of drinks on offer! Wonderful potato chip nachos! read more

Pretty average pub food. Reasonable place to go for brunch or drinks. Live music and trivia night are fun. I found the supper menu to be overpriced for what you get. read more

We went for dinner while in Moncton on vacation. Great service and really good food at a decent price. We covered the chicken fingers, salmon, halibut fillet and steak. Everyone loved their meals! Would definitely recommend it. read more

Arrived here last Sunday - was happy to find an Irish bar in Moncton with Irish food on the menu. The reason for the 1 star is for the terrible service. Three of us arrived at 2.05PM, sat near the door and I immediately asked our server if I could have the Irish breakfast (called the Ulster fry). She said 'sorry, we stop serving that at 2PM'. I suggested to her that it was just a few minutes after 2PM and she said 'Sorry'. She didn't even check with the kitchen. So I studied the menu again and said - 'I'll have the boxty special' ..and she said 'sorry, we don't serve that on the weekend'. At this point I'm getting a bit paranoid that she simply doesn't want to serve me food. I ordered the curry chips - mediocre. Bag of Knorr version of curry. Overall, I don't completely blame our server, but if she had any cop-on or interest in serving she'd have at least faked that she'd like to help us! We told her that we wouldn't be back. The pint of Guinness was just OK too..... All in all, skip the crap triangle. read more

Came here with friends and tho I'm not typically a meatloaf person, it was highly recommended by my friend. Wow! It was delicious! Also my wife had the pan fried fish which she really enjoyed! Suits and Ties were playing that night and they were amazing. Will definitely return! read more

Came here on a quick date night with the hubs. They were not busy this Tuesday night because they were closing early for a private party. There was Irish music playing and the atmosphere was lovely. We ordered a bowl of Kinsale Seafood Chowder to share. It came with a buttermilk biscuit and really hit the spot. It was very yummy. I ordered the shepherds pie which came with a side. I order extra masked potatoes. It came out piping hot and was delicious. My husband ordered the pan fried haddock with mashed potatoes. The whole time he ate he could be heard saying, "mmm mm mmmmm!" We has a lovely experience here. Our waitress was quick and attentive. read more

It's a typical Irish pub on the inside. There is a good selection of beer on tap. I asked the server what they were known for and one of the items she mentioned was the fish and chips. I've had fish and chips all over the world from Shanghai to London to Miami to Bonavista. A lot of places over cook the fish and that was the case here. It wasn't terrible but I wouldn't order it again. read more

We have always had great service at The Old Triangle...tonight I tried a different beer Creemore Creek Lot 9...aweful beer...so at an Irish Pub....I tried the Lamb Shank...tough and flavorless...mashed potatoes were pasty.....I'm thinking if your an Irish Pub then your beer, lamb and potatoes should be exceptional and the wait staff was apathetic.......just my 2 cents read more

A wonderful experience. I walked over after attending a lovely service at St. George's Anglican Church on Church Street. Sunday lunch was fabulous. My lovely server suggested the Eggs benedict florentine. I added a half pint of local Red Ale. What a delightful way to spend time before a flight. Happy. read more

If you're looking for good food, good drinks and carefree people, this is the spot for you. I've spent many days and many nights at The Old Triangle and it hasn't let me down once. The atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly and the beer on tap is always fresh. The only Irish Pub in Moncton, but certainly a great one! read more

Took a chance strolled in and ate a late dinner. It was wonderful. We both had a great meal.

We were there on a Monday night so it was not busy. The steak was good and the beer cold. Nice atmosphere and the waitress was super friendly read more

It's your average Irish pub! It serves it's purpose. Beer, bar food and a social gathering spot. I like it. Sometimes live music, sometimes not. Still it's one of my favorite places in town. read more

Great traditional Irish pub in downtown Moncton. Live music advertised for certain nights, although not when we were there. A few large "snugs" located in the back of the pub. We had the fish & chips and pulled pork sandwich which were both great. Our first pint tasted flat to us, and the waitress gladly brought us another round. We'll be back next time we're in town. read more

Love this place. Great food, drink and entertainment. Try the chicken wings!

I love the atmosphere here. The food for a pub is beyond what it should be, you would think they had an executive chef in the kitchen. Staff are ok for the most part. read more

Service was great. Not enough people when I went to get a feel for the atmosphere. Decent tap selection. But the food was mediocre.

Excellent meals and great presentation on the plate, only one issue we had was the lighting as we were unable at our table to see the menu. It did give us the opportunity to ask the waitress about the meals though and her advice was right on the mark, I came back the next day for supper by myself and the meal was very good Thank you, will come again read more

A quiet Sunday night with a quiet crowed. The beer was fresh and the staff are friendly. The patio is small but each table is comfortable.

Hit the pub tonight, food was great, had the mussels to start, penne and meatballs and washed it down with a Guiness. Good flavour and good portion. Not in Moncton often but I'll be sure to head back. read more

What a great meal! The food was awesome and our server Lindsey was phenomenal! We sat outside on the patio which was quite busy but she was quick, very genuine and accurate. This was the best service we have received in a LONG time. Would definitely go back for the food, atmosphere and amazing service read more

Bar service was absolutely amazing!! Being from Ontario me and my partner are not familiar with the local areas to drink and eat. We have never felt more welcomed and appreciated then we have at this establishment in Moncton. Would recommend to everyone I know! 10/10 would come back!! The bartender (not sure of his name) was a complete win. His demeanour and talent is unequivocal to any place we have tried, even in our own province. Brava! read more

Ok food Great Beer Good service a bit high priced. But has live music

It's a chain and like most it is ISO food, meaning frozen and always the same, if you like your chef with a build chart for his/her food eat here otherwise try real food in Moncton. Oh ya, by a can of Guinness. The treat is their mash potatoes, tons of pepper it really is the best thing on the menu after they dumped the Steak and Kidney pie. read more
