Not bad but too noisy with kids like going to McDonalds others wise not bad overly priced for just above average food

Everything from the ambiance to the service and food was above and beyond our expectation. Jeremy our server, who as we understand just started a week ago was eaxtreamly curtius,helpful, patient and profession . We absolutely loved him and he definitely helped make our experiment an amazing one. Food was beyond this world and presentation was superb! Not entirely the spot it was when it first opened, but perhaps it's beyond their control. With the soaring prices and the personnel shortage. I opted for something basic, which ended up I shouldn't have: tough chicken tenders and tepid beer at a high price for what they offer you--50 dollars for tenders and two pints. Back to Montana's for me, where at least you can leave satisfied for a comparable price. read more

Enjoyed our dinner. Burgers were very good. Chipotle Chicken was great. Free refills on sodas (a big deal for Americans!). The best was server Alysse. She is awesome and made it a great experience. Good selection and comfortable setting. read more

It's hard to order anything else when your favourite dish is the Madeira pasta. It's just so savory. This restaurant can get busy, but the service is still good. They have an upscale but casual atmosphere. read more

Well We finally made it to Moxie's and it has been a great night for myself and my husband Derrick it's Our 19th Anniversary and we chose to eat here and I'm so glad we did.Staff were great and we got seated right away and Drinks were great So Derrick got the Steak Mushrooms and baby potatoes and veggies and I got New York Strip loin and baby potatoes and veggies and the Food was Amazing...Flavour is always important to Us and they Nailed it.So thank you for great Service and Great Food and Yes we will be Back read more

I had the sirloin, prawns, house salad and mashed potatoes with the cheesecake desert. Ordered the steak medium rare, it came out medium well, the "prawns" (just large shrimp really), they were a little tough but edible. The mashed potatoes and salad were on point though. They replaced the steak with a whole new plate where everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Comped the desert (which was excellent ) as well. Another well run, trendy and clean Moxie's location. This is the furthest east location in Canada I've been to and was impressed, as usual. It's the rare combination of beautiful server, wonderful food and a great atmosphere without having to spend too much money. Regardless of what you order the menu impresses with every item and there's enough to choose from to satisfies everyone's pallet. A friend and I tried something different this time and didn't pay the price. His smoked beef was tasty, almost like if you ordered it at a deli in Montreal. And, my shrimp and lobster linguine was pretty good, too, although the tomato sauce was less than lightly drizzled. It was more of a tomato/olive oil with lots of capers. Still it was good, as is everything else we ordered here, along with the service. Come for food/drinks, with the family or on a date and go home happy. I visited Moxie's at lunch time and to be honest as I approached it I thought it was empty. That's what comes from having tinted windows. To my surprise once inside the restaurant there was a good number of people in their having lunch. Large groups to family's to what looked to be business lunches. I was allowed to sit where i pleased so I chose a booth (a bit selfish I know but they gave me the choice) They have a decent selection of starters and mains, I went for a sirloin :0) The speed of service was good, although I did wonder how they would manage with a full house as the restaurant is very large but I guess they just have more staff on duty. My steak was cooked exactly as I requested it and it was tender (I have experienced better but at a higher price) The service was faultless and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and you could have a conversation with out shouting, so it is somewhere I would go again. read more

Visited with my daughter for her 16th birthday and also on Father's Day. The service was great, food was delicious (I recommend the chipotle mango Chicken), the atmosphere was ideal for a dinner celebration. The place was immaculately clean and felt safe to eat at this restaurant! I will be back! read more

My wife had the guacamole and chips..( the chips were stale and the guacamole was sour ..unedible) She had to leave the table to get sick in the washroom.. Lovely serving staff and they were very helpful in making a decision in what to order. They brought out the food in a timely manner and checked up to make sure we were satisfied with the food. We stopped in for dinner on a Monday night around 8:00 PM after driving in from Montreal and were surprised at how busy it was. We were seated immediately at a table in the bar... and while initially disappointed that we were not offered a more comfortable booth in the more cozy (and quiet) dining room, our waitress' welcoming and friendly attitude made us feel right at home. I was pleasantly surprised to see Bellinis on the drink menu and ordered a peach Bellini to start. Sadly, what was served to me was some sort of frozen mix that was the furthest thing from a traditional Bellini and more like a frozen margarita that you'd get at a cheap resort hotel bar. It left such a bad aftertaste in my mouth that I couldn't even drink it and ordered wine instead. If you're expecting a Bellini with Prosecco & peach nectar, you will be sorely disappointed. Stick to non-mixed drinks. Service was prompt & efficient and the manager even came to see us for a minor hitch in the kitchen when they ran out of rigatoni & had to replace it with penne for the pasta dish that my friend ordered. The food was somewhat bland (I had a chicken dish recommended by the waitress and my friend had the pasta special) but it was served quickly & arrived piping hot, so it hit the spot. We were a group of co-workers who met up to celebrate successes at the workplace. Our SERVER was Billy. From the word hello, we knew it was going to be a good night. We all had a few drinks, appetizers which were the bruschetta, chicken wings and the dip (spinach/mushroom). Apps were good and tasty. We all ordered the same which was the steaks and some added the shrimps. Steaks were cooked to perfection and very tasty. I was surprised as I had never had steak there before. Some finished off our meal with the white brownie dessert HELLO ! Delish! The food was excellent but what was even more great was the service. Billy is obviously a seasoned server and it showed. Moxie's is a newer edition to Moncton. It's a trendy little place in an area of Moncton that is exploding with new businesses. The staff is extremely friendly. You are greeted on entering. The staff seats you and a server comes to introduce themselves and provide you with the menu and specials promptly. The biggest plus, for me, is how concerned they are with allergies at this restaurant. I informed them of a deadly allergy to nuts/peanuts and they actually cook my food separately. Lest anyone think I'm a problem diner, I'm not. I hesitated to even mention it because I find it embarrassing even though it could kill me. The first time I ate there I was admonished by the manager (kindly) who insisted I was to always inform them of my allergy whenever I ate there. My favourite dish is the chicken and rice teriyaki bowl. My mouth is watering just typing the words. I am a creature of habit so this is what I order every time I go there. I have had a sandwich before and that was great too but really, I go there for that teriyaki bowl. Also, because of my allergies I rarely (almost never) get dessert in any restaurant. Moxie's has a dessert I can have and it is AMAZING. Writing this review has made me hungry! The restaurant is split into two sections. One side is a sports bar type of atmosphere and the other side is regular dining. I've eaten on both sides and enjoy the atmosphere on both. Moxie's is a little pricier compared to some other restaurants in Moncton so that should be kept in mind when choosing to dine there. I definitely recommend it and if you have a food allergy, don't worry about informing them, they will gladly accommodate you. read more

I wasn't terribly satisfied with Moxie's. Unfortunately, the food too expensive for what you got, and it was trying rather too hard to be a fancy place for it being a chain. Visited on business, and one of my colleagues recommended the place. It certainly was a nice looking place, but the menu constantly name-checked the executive chef like I had heard of him, or that he was a culinary genius. It's probably got a fantastic cocktail bar, if you're in for that. However, if you're going for dinner after work, it's a bit much; both in price and trying too hard. read more

Had an enjoyable dinner here with a work colleague in the lounge area. The first thing you notice in here is there are TV's everywhere! It's a bit distracting but it's par for the course at Moxie's in the bar/lounge area. The lighting is a bit dark but the atmosphere is decent. The feel of it is however that it's more of a guys place as the young servers are dressed what I would describe as "business sexy". Fast forward to the food. I had ordered the Beef vindaloo for something different. Before I asked our server how hot it was (heat wise). She mentioned it was too hot for her to eat. It came in a nice bowl with some curry naan bread. In terms of heat I would range it as a medium. Flavour was decent. Nothing memorable.... nothing horrible. Service was pleasant and not like some of the servers who are overtly friendly (to seek a bigger tip)! I would come back here as the menu offers good selection, however I prefer non chain restaurants if the restaurant choice is mine! read more

Terrible, terrible service. Will never go back. First time I went with 3 friends for lunch & waited 45 minutes for our meal. 2nd time went as a group of 16. Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive & never did get a 2nd round. Meal took over 1 1/2 hours to arrive, from time we ordered. Complained to shift manager. He said server was new , but one person in our party had seen her there over 6 months previous. Manager gave us each a coupon for a free dessert. I don't eat dessert. I was expecting similar service to what I had received at Moxie's restaurants in other parts of the country. I can not recommend. read more

Dried mint on my mojito no taste truly dissatisfied I was thrilled about trying one , the food I ordered for starters a calamari very dry non peculiar taste not happy , the service awful had to wait about 40 minutes to have my order taken , the only thing I liked was my steak well done that tasted medium well. Not the Moxie's I'm use to from the Western provinces. Great burger normal price you'd expect for mid upper scale dining. A very nice and filling I couldn't finish my fries! I'm no one to leave a crumb on my plate omg worth the time to stop in for a bite for sure. read more

Not sure on the prepubescent greeters; seem kind of sexist to me to have so many young, buxom females as the staple. But perhaps I am just a bitter over 40 dame who realizes that ship has sailed! The server ignored us (group of women) most of the time, regularly forgot what she told us she would bring when she bothered to come round to us, and never picked up a single thing off the table. I eat at this location every couple of months for business. The music was very loud on the restaurant side and I asked if it could be turned down and the server responded rudely "it's on a timer". AVOID this place if you are not alone and wish to have a conversation with who you are with. I can attest I will never go back for a business lunch again. Ask for a table away from the kitchen; it gets loud the closer you get to it. Otherwise, great servers and great food.
