While towing our 26' travel trailer down 60W today we were flagged down by a fellow motorist letting us know we were dragging something & sparking. We turned down the next side street & pulled over into the first parking lot. My husband looked underneath & saw that 2 of our 3 bolts had come undone & the water tank brackets were hanging (not to mention the tank itself!) We realized by complete coincidence, we had pulled into Kroubetz's lot - luck, blessings, whatever you want to call it, but it happened. The gentlemen lent my husband tools & gave him new nuts/bolts/washers so he could fix the problem, and one of them was under our trailer helping him. They refused to accept any $ (or craft beer from Buffalo that we offered lol) so the least we can do is give them a stellar review. It's great to know that good, honest, kind people are out there. I am in the process of researching all camper van options on the market, I have looked at all types and sizes. I wanted to know how a rack could fit on, how to carry bikes or kayak, how much storage inside and out, how a 6-1 man could fit inside comfortably, etc. This is what's wrong with our current country judging something by it's cover and having your mind made up ahead of time. Took my truck to Topper's Plus and Trailers LeSueur shop to have a lift kit put in. The lift kit…read moreneeded an new bushing to eliminate a known vibration caused by the lift which I bought and took with for the shop to install with the lift. As soon as I picked up (picked up after the shop was closed), I noticed a vibration, but I still had new tires and rims put on. After driving it and realizing the vibrations aren't going away, I called the Mankato store to have them check to see if the bushing was actually put in. They did tell me that the installer no longer worked for them and that his "work write-up" on my truck was vague. They were great in changing my appointment dates but during the actual appointment, they took it to a different shop to confirm that the lift was installed correctly. (That was their job and they didn't notify me which ending up costing me $). They came back with an answer: it's your tires. The vibration was there before the new tires and rims were put on......It's not the tires. We are now working with someone else to get a fix.......frustrating to say the least. : (

We are in the process of buying our second travel trailer in less than 2 years. Unfortunately we lost our trailer to fire damage that wasn't our fire, and we are shopping again. We stopped by Niemeyer because it was close to home and they had some nice Rockwood trailers on their website. We have decided to buy a trailer from them, and we drove away feeling so much better about the process than our first buying process. Niemeyer doesn't have a huge staff...we worked directly with Jim Niemeyer. There was no pressure, no add-on sales tactics...just a small business doing business the right way. Even though we are buying it in January, they will keep it in their back lot until we are ready to bring it home...for no cost and no hassles. We were given plenty of time to look at several trailers without any rushing or pitches. I highly recommend this place!

PROS - Lichtsinn's volume of online instructional videos was helpful before the purchase and afterwards.  I flew in to Minneapolis, the pickup and drive down to Lichtsinn worked great The RV itself has been all I hoped for and more The orientation process Lichtsinn providing a loaner vehicle  The service and parts department.  I have called about 5 times over the 1st 6 months with questions and they have all been answered professionally. Some of the names I recall of people who have been very helpful:  Justin, Hannah, Cade, Stacy, Jeremy (sorry I'm not remembering everyone's names). CONS - Primarily related to the salesman I was randomly given when I first sent an email inquiry about available stock. When I brought up the idea of a 3rd party inspector (which I paid for) reviewing the vehicle before I flew in, the initial response was Reed tried to talk me out of it. When I flew in to purchase the vehicle there were a couple of items not completed from the inspection.  It appeared that Reed hadn't reviewed the inspection items.  He then tried to blame the service department. Two weeks ago I had an issue with my steps malfunctioning while I was traveling out of the country.  I called Lichtsinn towards the end of the day.  The operator forwarded me to Reed.  Reed said he would try to get someone from service.  The phone was placed on hold for 10 minutes and then finally went dead.  I called him back and left a voicemail for him.  I then called back again and Hannah (I believe she is in Accounting) was super helpful and tried to help.  I still haven't heard from Reed. For the most part Lichtsinn was reputable.  After the most recent incident it was appropriate to leave this feedback.  If you have a choice on salesperson, I would consider this. The new toilet doesn't work correctly, the bathroom door does not work, and my wobbly dinette is worse. They promised everything would be fixed but they will not provide a loaner for creating more issues that will leave me without a vehicle for weeks. They refuse to take any accountability for the damage they caused.
