She takes the time to explain in detail what is going on and whats the best plan of action.I've experienced dentists who were quick to pull teeth or go the most expensive route; Dr. Morolayo puts your health and safety FIRST. During my procedure she consistently checked in to make sure i wasn't in too much pain and I was comfortable; you can tell she really cares about her patients. Let me not forget the amazing staff; their level of professionalism and communication sets the bar and they are the prime example of what a great staff is comprised of. Selecting Smile League dental as my dentist was the best decision ive made.!!!

She was literally crying and asking them to stop. Water spraying on her face with no care to wipe it off. Not only that, but also while asked to give a review, the same person helped her pull it up on her phone AND PRESSED THE 5 STAR REVIEW and submitted it. This is not the level of care and comfort anyone should have at the dentist. I will also be reaching out to the Orthodontist and let them know the type of care they referred her to. She just got comfortable enough with the dentist in order to get braces, and to have this lack of care, especially with new patients, and a person who's not even a week into braces is Beyond me. Shame on you for not providing a level if care you would expect to have!

**************HIGHLY RECOMMEND ***************…read more I switched dental offices this year because my insurance changed. I had been going to the same office for like 10 years. I was so sad I had to change. I found this place on Yelp. I'll be honest. They weren't going to get my business because they only had 1 Yelp review. This office is so close to my house I decided to give them a shot. I first visited the office back in June. I made my appointment over the phone with Tanya. She is BEYOND AMAZING! Based on my past experience at other places I've found that usually in a medical office if the doctor is great the front desk staff sucks or vice versa. This place is the unicorn of medical offices. EVERYONE is pleasant! My first visit in June was odd because the dentist did my cleaning. I thought that was strange but it was still a great experience.I booked another appointment for my 6 month cleaning. Fast forward to present. I had an appointment with them on Wed. Had another pleasant interaction with Tanya. Do you know she remembered me?!?! In service that speaks volume!!!! This time they also had a dental hygienist who explained to me that the doctor did my cleaning because she wasn't scheduled to start until a week after I came. Andrea did my cleaning this time. Best cleaning I've ever had. She was PHENOMENAL! Then Dr. Kurup came in and he was great as well. Overall it was such a great customer experience. I referred my mom to them and she can be a bit annoying but they have patience with her. She loves them as well! She recently got dentures and her smile is beautiful. She now smiles from ear to ear. I took a pic of her and my child. It looks like a dental ad. Great work!

Before I begin- I gave this office and Dentist every opportunity to connect and resolve the…read moreconcerns via telephone and/or meeting. The requests fell on deaf ears so here we go... I have a 12yr background in dentistry (patient's daughter), so I know the proper standards of care. My mother was a patient here of record for about 3+ years after she retired and was left with small options for affordable dental insurance. Dentists should not dictate the care patients are receiving judging by their dental insurance whether PPO, HMO, Medicare. They should be treated fairly. This office DOES NOT offer proper standard of care- so please be very cautious coming here- especially older patients or those with state aid/Medicare/Medicaid. My mother has always suffered from gingivitis and periodontal disease like most people in the USA. This office has been having the dentist see patients for dental cleanings because they refuse to employ a proper Dental Hygienist to help with these preventative procedures. (don't tell me there are no staff and that there is a shortage from COVID still, you can find a great Hygienist if you pay them fairly and treat them right- be ready to shell out $45-50 per hour, they are worth it) To make a short story long- A dentist does not go to dental school to provide cleanings and these sorts of preventative procedures- they went to school to learn how to 'drill and fill' and to produce, well at least this dentist here at Valley Dental Care did. Dentist make MAYBE a few $100 if that for these types of preventative visits so what this office does is they double/triple side book patients in for cleanings while the Dentist is seeing other patients for PRODUCTIVE visits- like fillings and crowns etc (that actually bring in $$) Never ONCE in my entire dental career have I ever heard of a patient, who has crowns, partials, AND an implant to not have their gums charted at least 1x per year OR have a 3-month perio-maintenance cleaning to last less than the standard 50-60mins. Not until I dropped my mom off for her 3-month dental cleaning appointment (which she was 3months delayed for due to knee replacement- So I knew this appointment would be at LEAST an HOUR) but she returned to my car just after 10 short mins. I asked her what they did, and she stated the Dentist came in and looked in her mouth and took the gritty paste (prophy paste) and used a dental hygiene cup attachment, cleaned her teeth and sent her on her way. I was APPAULLED. I called the office later that day to inquire of the procedure she had, and the front desk person was confused and put me on hold to speak with I am assuming an assistant to confirm the visit. I complained then and requested she offer my mother another perio-maint appointment since I know the following was not completed: my mother did NOT have her teeth scaled properly; she did not have her gums charted (where they call out #s 2,3,4,5 etc), no probing- this was completely negligent on the Dentist's part. By not completing the cleaning as required- you are putting my mother at risk of further progression of the disease. I mean, I get it- as a struggling Dentist--who wouldn't put their patients at further risk of root resorption and bone loss because HEY! more $$ in the dentist's pocket when he/she tells you that now it's time for a crown or maybe even an implant or worse- lets extract all teeth and pop in dentures! If this is how you expect to grow a practice or stay in business with an active dental license you are greatly underestimating your future and are on the edge of lawsuits. This office does not advocate for their patient's oral health, especially the elderly. The will also take you for everything you are worth- they will take x-rays regularly 1x per year or more and then blame insurance that you have a frequency limitation and that your insurance is a contract between you and them and NOT the office so the $200+ dollars in unnecessary x-rays/radiographs they took TOO EARLY are now patient balance because they would rather charge the patient than go the extra mile and know the frequency of coverage and wait a week or reschedule an appointment to when it would have been covered. This review is in no way a threat, it's a promise that you will have a report to the Licensing Board about your malpractice. Current and future patients BEWARE- RUN- SAVE YOUR $$ and the teeth you still have and go somewhere else before you become a victim of negligence, elder abuse, or worse!

I wanted to love this office and I honestly was very close to it. I enjoyed the initial visit and…read morethe dentist was very nice and personable. The front desk staff? No. Adriana was patient and thorough. Once I got denied by my insurance to cover a deep cleaning, I figured ok well I can at least get a regular cleaning. I requested to schedule that, and got told through text I couldn't get a regular cleaning because the dentist recommends a deep cleaning. The deep cleaning out of pocket is $400 per side of mouth. I disclosed to them that paying $800 for a deep cleaning isn't something I'm able to do at the moment. I decided to call, because surely this response was mistaken. I called and unfortunately I spoke with a "Maya". She rudely asks for my first and last name and puts me on a 10 minute hold, never once checking back. I call back and she immediately puts me on hold, and doesn't confirm who I am or what I'm calling for. After another 2-3 minute hold, she gets back on the phone and just says, "how may I help you?" I explained I was the same person on hold waiting for an answer about a regular cleaning. She proceeds to say, "Yeah, so you can't get a regular cleaning because..." She begins rattling off the many things going on with my teeth from my private dental chart. I then asked her if I could speak with the dentist, and she responds very snarky, "He doesn't speak with patients over the phone." I asked if I could speak with a manager instead, and she sarcastically responds with, "That's who you were texting...." I ignored her remark and asked again to speak with the manager. Annoyed, she says, "I'll have to put you on hold, she's with a patient." At this point, I'm sure you can understand my frustration. Instead of becoming insulting like she was probably aiming for me to be, I asked her to confirm the manager's name. She finally discloses the woman's name as Adriana. I then asked her name and she dryly and a bit hesitant said, "Maya." Her attitude over the phone matches her demeanor in person. She has a very nasty disposition and it's unfortunate that there's a possibility first time clients speak with her first. If I hadn't spoken with nicer people at that office and spoke with "Maya" first, I'd think the whole staff is like her and wouldn't go there at all. Not only that, but when I came into that office for the first time, she had either been coming in from break or coming in for the day. The whole office environment changed. She sat at the front with a stale face, rolling her eyes at patients and some staff when interacting with them. Isn't it illegal to disclose patient information over the phone without confirming who you're speaking with? I never told her my name when I called back. She just began exposing sensitive information freely out of frustration because I asked about why I couldn't have a regular cleaning versus a deep cleaning. Isn't that a violation of hippa? I'm almost positive I'm not the only one that has said something about her attitude. It's always one of us mistreating one of us. I can handle being told I "don't qualify for a regular cleaning because I'm a smoker..." (I'm not a smoker, but good job Maya for doing too much...) but for my whole chart to be disclosed without prior approval? That's a problem. I'll make sure I look into Maya. Back to the situation at hand, how is it that I cannot get a regular cleaning if that's what I ask for? My insurance doesn't allow me to pay out of pocket for services. So if they're denying me coverage for what the dentist is recommending........I do not want to pay $800 unexpectedly........and my insurance is saying I cannot pay out of pocket anyway......I can't get the bare minimum of a regular cleaning? I'd assume if a dentist cares about their patient's teeth, they'd do what they can and take care of the patient as best they can. Had I gotten a better explanation and probably not spoken to "Maya," I would have eventually just gone ahead and put the charges on my care credit and fought with the insurance about it later just because I really wanted to stick with Todays dental. I've spoken to several people thus far about the way this situation was just handled, and I was simply told if I'm being treated this way now, I probably wouldn't want them working on my mouth. That statement is SO valid. Thanks, but no thanks. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt you guys to lose one patient, but word of mouth travels pretty quickly. Especially when it's negative. Hopefully, something is done about your front desk staff's bedside manner.
