I've had Gabriel Pizza before, but always at a function, event, or someone else's house because I generally find their pizzas too cheesy, the crust too thick, and the price too expensive. On their "Pizza-versary" February 28, 2019 they were having a sale, a large Gabriel Deluxe for $15. The regular price is $26.75. My parents had never had Gabriel Pizza before, and they love pizza, and I was seeing them that day, and this Gabriel Pizza is near their house, so I decided to get them one for lunch.
So the Gabriel Deluxe comes with 6 toppings: pepperoni, bacon, white onions, mushrooms, green peppers and green olives.
They put the pepperoni under the cheese. I like the pepperoni on my pizza crispy at the edges, so pepperoni under cheese gets a thumbs down from me. At least the bacon was on top of the cheese and it was extra crispy.
My opinion about the crust being too thick, the pizza because too cheesy and the (regular) price being too expensive still stands. I can't say I am a huge fan. However, my parents loved it. They loved the crust and cheesiness. They liked the sale price too (but not the regular price, lol). So it depends on your pizza preferences. My parents also love pan pizzas to give you an idea of their preferences (me, I'm not a fan of pan pizzas, deep-dish pizzas, etc. - #thincrustforever).
Service was nice and friendly. I ordered for takeout and from the time I ordered to the time I was out the door with my pizza was less than 20 minutes, so very reasonable.
The place does have 2 tables if you want to eat there. A table for 4 and a table for 2. It's definitely more of a takeout joint though.
It's in a strip mall, so lots of free parking. It's in the same strip mall as Shawarma Palace, Rayan and Bulk Barn.
Personally, their pizzas are not my cup of tea (not my slice of pie?), but
I think if you like thick crust pizza with lots of cheese then you will like their pizzas. read more
