I've come to this salon a few times now and each time I've had a terrific experience. I'm definitely going to be a regular! Raquel (the owner) cuts & colors very well... she is sweet & super talented. She knows what she's doing. Diane, also lovely, always washes my hair with a calming non-rushed touch (an extra nice perk/plus is their head 'pillows' in the sink so your head isn't left hanging & dangling on cold, hard ceramic). The salon's location is great, a stone's throw away from the aquarium. I go get some lunch & get a haircut... it's my "leave mum alone, she's having a girl day" day! Fair pricing, clean, organized, friendly, wonderful communication & talented with hair- Highly recommend this salon! read more

DISASTER!!!!!! My updo all fell out!!!! I paid $78 which included a 20% tip, what a complete rip off!!! Do you not go to this salon if you want an updo!!!! I asked the owner to call me repeatedly, she said she would the next day, but she never did!!! Never even gave me the courtesy of a phone call. Terrible customer service!!!!! read more

A very unfortunate and upsetting experience. The stylist was unqualified to do a perm and yet she went ahead and under the occasional supervision of who I assume is the owner - continued to butcher the perm I wanted. I left with agonizing scalp pain and limp flat hair. When I returned and all I wanted was to put this unfortunate incident behind me, she refused to provide a refund. At the end, and after much argument and with taking zero responsibility, she did provide that refund and lost not only one but 2 customers and we will for sure spread the "good" word. There are so many hair salons in this area. Stay away from this one. I'm not even mentioning the rough treatment I received by the "stylist" who didn't miss an opportunity to yank at my hair despite seeing in how much pain I was. Awful. Just awful. The photos show my hair 2 hours after the "perm". And in reply to their reply. Offer to work with me on my goals is laughable. They either know what their doing or not. They knew very well my time constraints and I explained to them in no uncertain terms that I do not have the time to come back as I am caregiving for a sick person. I now washed my hair and it is ruined. It is limp, frail and a frizzy mess. If she thought she can correct it with more chemicals and more hair pulling she is obviously delusional. read more

I've been going to this salon for years now and it is the best place to get your hair done on the east end in my opinion. The staff is friendly and extremely talented. Alex always does my hair and it turns out beautiful and exactly how I want every time! She's got some major skills!!! I recently went to get a touch up and decided to get a mani pedi too! This is the worst salon experience I've ever had from the moment I arrived. I wasn't greeted upon entering the salon for the first time and the staff had continued their conversation until one of the generously made a gesture to follow her to the chair. Okay I can deal with bad customer service, but the whole experience made me feel awkward. I did not get my hair washed (she just sprayed it with a water bottle) and spent 15 minutes on my cut without the attention to detail that I'm used to. The next day I realize that she missed half of my neck hair and the back had been basically ignored. My fiancee had to cut the back with scissors so it could at least look clean and shave my neck. I refuse to pay again for such crap service like this. read more

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Only complaint was that the wash girl was extremely harsh brushing out my frail freshly bleached hair, causing a lot of breakage. Other than that, very happy with the salon & Racquel did an amazing job on my cut & highlights. read more

It was my first time coming here and the last the staff is rude and stuck up and the salon is so tiny which i didnt like.... The girls look at you up and down like if their better very rude not spending my money at this dump.. Funny how its always looking to hire new people probably because nobody wants to work there!! I was in Riverhead over the weekend and looked at Yelp for a quality place to have my hair cut as the salons near me are overpriced. They fit me in and Alex gave me a great hair cut! She looked at my hair when I came in and helped me decide on a whole new style. Many times you leave a salon and love your hair, but to me the key is being able to recreate the look on your own days later, and I certainly can. I'll definitely be coming back here! read more

She was quick to resolve any issues that I had and offered to correct my hair and refund my money. I can confidently say that I am satisfied with the customer service I received from this salon and appreciate their willingness to work toward a solution. I can also say my hair color/cut has been restored to what I initially wanted. **************************************************************** Aesthetically, This is a very modern and well designed salon. The greeters at the door were warm and welcoming and general customer service is okay. That being said, I have visited the salon 3 times and used the same stylist. Each time I received a range of services from cut/color/highlight and was hoping to become a regular here. However, after my last visit I will not be returning and I do not recommend you switch your current salon to come here. The talent here is sub par, in fact, I believe that they lack experienced hair stylists with adequate industry knowledge. My haircut was not at all what I wanted and my color was poorly done. My stylist repeatedly needed to consult with the owner for a proper formula and my color application needed to be done twice to correct it. To add insult to injury, the salon had the audacity to charge me twice for a color application even though it was their fault it wasn't correct in the first place. If you are looking for average then this is your place. However, I would not recommend getting color done here. read more

I had a hard time finding someone to do my hair and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding. When I met Raquel I knew I found the right stylist. As soon as I sat in her chair for my trial her confidence automatically put me at ease. I knew for over a year that I wanted to wear my hair down with long mermaid curls. After discussing what I wanted she went to work and when she was finished it was exactly what I asked for. The day of my wedding she traveled to me. It was a rainy day so I thought I'd better wear my hair up although deep down inside I dreamed of wearing it down. I showed her a picture of an updo and she went to work. Once again in just a short while my hair was just like the picture absolutely beautiful. However since my heart was set on wearing my hair down I wasn't 100% happy. When I told her she said no worries let's redo it and wear it down. In just a short amount of time my hair was down and exactly what I had been dreaming of. I was a little concerned with the rain that it wouldn't last all day but it did! By the end of the evening it looked almost exactly the same as it did when she did it. Both of my bridesmaids were very happy with the updos she did for them. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a stylist for there wedding day, you won't be disappointed! i would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a quality hairstyle! they did a beautiful blue ombre on my hair and it came out amazing! they also do an amazing job with eyelash extensions. they put on the perfect amount so they look full but still natural, i received so many compliments when i had them! i also have a fear of hair stylists cutting my hair too short when going in for a trim but ashley always cuts the perfect amount off! this is my new favorite salon, everyone here is very friendly and extremely talented! read more

This is a 5 star (plus!) experience from the incredibly easy and fast online booking system to the ability to tip via your credit/debit card. The atmosphere is total 'chill' without all those salon dynamics. Took a chance and made an appointment with Ashley and was beyond thrilled with her ability and wonderful persona/customer service skills. When I left after my first appointment with Ashley I did not have one gray hair for a change. I didn't have to use a "Root Touch Up" to get the hairs my other stylist missed. She also has a 'secret' weapon to get those tough grays to take the dye. Pricing is competitive and you don't feel like you made someone's car payment when you leave. Make an appointment. I went in here twice to get my hair done and it isnt worth it. I wasnt satisfied with the color, and the cut.. I am a natural blonde and I wanted to go to a bleach blonde, so when I asked them to put highlights in, the color was more of a warm blonde and it wasnt what I wanted.. the second and last time I went into the salon was to get a treatment done and I left the store with an orangey- red tint to my perfectly blonde hair. I have gotten a lot of treatments done to my hair... from straightening treatments to perms and not once has my hair EVER turned orange. with that said, i think these girls mean well but dont leave your salon for this one. you will be unhappy. I went back to my original salon after I tried this one out, and they corrected their mistakes and restored my natural blonde hair. read more
