Lana also wanted a tip, which took me aback as she is the owner. That was a surprise. However, she did make everything right, eventually. I had to go back twice to fix the roots and the stripes, and was not charged either time. I do appreciate that. I had to cover the stripes with color spray until she could get me back in. They were also too orangey, because they didn't process long enough. They were supposed to be pale blonde. All in all, a mixed experience. Everyone that i told about the tip was also shocked. I guess that things are different here? I always tip, except when it's the owner. The price was fair for the area, so also a plus.

TBH, I was slightly shocked by haircut prices around here. I called Fresh Cuts, and was quoted $25! I walked in, no appointment, and Daniella, a lovely young woman, listened patiently as I explained what I wanted, and showed her a couple of pictures. She gave me a fabulous cut! She's also very pleasant. They don't shampoo your hair, or do blowouts. Both of these work for me, as I prefer to use my own products and air-dry my hair. If you want a shampoo and blow-dry, this is not the place for you. It is a barber shop, not a salon. Very no-frills. But I got a great haircut at a great price, so I'm happy.
