I needed a complete reinstall of a toilet that another business installed but did not properly secure. Jacob with Evans did the reinstall and was outstanding. He noticed some areas of concern that were leaking and explained what he was going to do to fix it. He replaced to old flange that wasn't even secured to the flooring and sealed everything up beautifully. Jacob was very professional and personable. I also felt the cost of the job was very fair. Appolo installed new furnace and central a/c unit in my home…read more At the time of the installation, the overflow preventer in the a/c unit was stuck, resulting in flooding my carpeted basement. The initial repair person who came to see what caused the flood was the one who told me that the overflow preventer install caused the flood yet Appolo refused to reimburse me for the insurance deductible. Two years later another (different) company came for routine maintenance and showed me that the original ductwork was poorly designed because there is a rule that there should be 24 inches between secondary ducts and the end of each main line; it is clear on most online descriptions that this is ideal for maximum air flow through the system. When Appoly did the original install I had them come back because the air flow felt insufficient and they told me it was by design because the goal is to run the unit for a long time at a lower air flow for consistent temperature!!

After we moved in, I found a duct completely disconnected directly above the furnace in our basement causing air to pour out in the mechanical area instead of going upstairs as needed. Norm also did not replace the thermostat wire as required, so the following summer our air conditioner would not work properly. I contacted Norm multiple times, but Vestal Heating and Plumbing did not respond to my requests to fix the issues caused by their poor and incomplete work. I will let you draw your own conclusions about honestly and integrity here. Do yourself a favor, and choose another contractor.

I watched as the repairman kept repeating his testing on the electrodes ....... and finally came to conclusion it was a gas valve problem. Then he didn't have the part on the truck so he had to meet someone from the store halfway to get one. I was charged for 2 hrs labor. I felt he was just wasting time. They did a good job with that, and even brought us space heaters to use until they could install the new system two days later. That really helped after being without heat for several days. They could not fix the leak though which they said was a clog. They referred me to a clog removal company. Called that company, they couldn't fix it, said to call Arctic Bear back to replace the pipes. I did, but they couldn't come back for over a week. A week of not being able to use the kitchen sink or dishwasher. When they did come back, they gave me an estimate of $1,600 to fix. I declined. Called another company for a second opinion, and they came out two days later and fixed it for $318.
