I declined any special treatment, as that is not what I'm looking for or intended to receive with my review. I increased the 1 star to a 5 star based on the quick response and the concern about my experience. After speaking with her, I will give this place another chance. Original review: I've never felt so unwelcomed while shopping for clothes. I walked in WANTING to spend a few hundred dollars because I needed a cute last minute outfit for a bbq. One girl said, "hello" and literally she was the only one. A lady employee crouched on the ground to find something for another customer next to me, blocking me from moving forward and didn't say anything. Nothing. No apology, no offer to help, nothing. It was an awkward silence while I waited for her to finish. The girl who said hello, asked to start a dressing room for me, but never came back to me to tell me where the room was. I figured it out by the dress hanging on the door. I needed another size in a dress I was interested in, but no offered to help. Not while i was in the room, and not even when I got out of the room. I figured I would just get it myself. They had maybe two other customers in the store at this time. As I was walking towards the rack to look for the correct size, I saw an employee about 2 feet from the rack I was walking towards. She looked at me with no smile and walked away. Didn't say anything at all. While shopping around, they offered another customer drinks, but didn't even acknowledge me. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but that was absurd. I spent about 20 minutes in that store and walked all the way around and had items in my hands to buy, but I left them. I don't like saying that people are discriminative, but I am hoping that my race didn't have anything to do with this situation. This was my first and last time in that store. It's unfortunate because we live right down the street. Also, unfortunate for them because I'm about to meet 40 army wives or service women who all just moved to the area at bbq.

Some are thrift-like, some are vintage, some are new. As seems often the case, nearly everything was geared towards women though. My colleague purchase a cute pair of earrings for $16. The elderly gentleman that was running the store was super friendly. Parking is a challenge - there's a double row of metered spots splitting the U-shaped strip mall but every spot was taken (we had walked from our conference/hotel). Turnover seemed decent but there are always several cars circling. FYI we saw a meter maid giving tickets too.

I actually found myself wandering in after noticing their huge selection of vintage Dooney & Burke bags from the 1980s, including the same exact style that I had strapped to my body that day. The shopkeepers had eyes like hawks, coming over and asking me all about my bag, which was a gift from my sister and is in super amazing condition. And then this older gent that was shopping chimed in and was like, "What's the deal with these bags? My daughter asked for one for Christmas and I have no idea what I'm doing. Tell me everything." So we did. I browsed a little bit. The merchandise is generally high quality vintage (plenty of recognizable brand names) so the prices vary from medium to high. Most of my time there was spent chatting with what I assume is the owner about all sorts of things though: Dooney & Burkes, other awesome vintage bags, Minneapolis, the 70+ degree weather.

The sales clerk did not even know what pants were in the catalog and where they were in the store. She did make a dressing room for me, but never came to check on me. I had to get completely re-dressed to go back out to get other items. The pants I tried on at first had a black pin mark across the front and when I took it up to the cash register, she said oh no big deal. Well they're over $100 pants and I did not want to buy them with a mark on them. Don't think I'll be shopping there anymore.

They told her it would be fine. When we arrived there the only person in the store was on the phone. I could tell by the way she looked and spoke that it was not going to go well for my wife. I was trying to listen in but I did hear her tell the customer to hang up and go find a pencil and call back for the phone number! I was right in that she was very rude to my wife and refused to do an exchange for the right size since they were purchased online. That is not their policy! I would advise avoiding this location!

Macy's at Columbia mall off Two Notch Rd is still operating despite the most of other stores…read moreclosed. This department store is very large inside and bustling unlike the mall it resides within. There is a Toys R Us operating within Macy's which is great to see. Two level store luggage, home goods down, clothing up. There are two entry's into interior of mall as is two levels throughout. Large selection for clothing, perfume, not very large for purses, shoes. The only store keeping this mall alive, still going strong.

Not sure how they can keep this location open. So anytime is a great time to visit. Customer service is attentive and the store is tidy. The store seemed empty the day I went looking for a formal dress. I did notice they dont packed the aisles to where you cant even walk and browse. They had a good selection, just nothing I liked enough to purchase. During the holidays they have great sales most of the time. I would go early in the am, everyone is looking for good deal these days. I will continue to shop here in the near future.
