Had lunch at Gabby's on Main last Saturday. Food was very good. Friendly, casual atmosphere.

Large parking lot, easy to locate. Honk or call for curbside service. If you go inside you must…read morewear a mask (unless you're who I think must be Barb's maskless husband). The inside is not impressive. Looks like a kid's play room with toys all over. No inside dining available. What comes out of Barb's Bounty is much more impressive! I had the daily special--a ham and Turkey club. Imagine three pieces of toasted sourdough (I'm guessing)--one side is a BLT and the other ham, cheese and Turkey. Best bacon ever! My side was the fruit salad. It was a nice combination of fresh and canned fruits. The rest of our party had the same daily special, but with battered fries (waffle fries were also an option). Our son had a burger (rated a 4) and potato salad (rated a 5). Each day features a couple of daily lunch specials and a dinner special, in addition to a variety of soups, salads, wraps, burgers, and sandwiches. For a small place, it offers a great variety. It is NOT fast food. Be patient as it's worth the wait. Barb is offering specials and open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. When asked about being open, Barb said due to Covid she knew many of her older customers would not be at family gatherings. She certainly appears to care about her community. Also available are fruit jellies and jams, salsa and relishes. And a limited selection of baked goods.

Sign at the end of the gravel road announced our arrival. Pulled into the lot and we were the only ones there beyond the workers late in the afternoon on a Sunday. Cash only but they have an ATM on site. Visited the brewery room and perused the different beers available on draft, in bottles, and growlers. Ordered a pizza, the green tomato and sausage. And chose a flight of beer, four for $13. Sumac Sour, Fig Porter, Dead Leaves, and Basil Saison. I enjoyed every one of them, but the Dead Leaves was my overall favorite. I decided on that one as my take home growler. I really enjoyed the green tomato sausage pizza, I enjoy a green tomato, not many restaurants have them on their menu in a state other than fried, so I had to get it. The flavors were great; the tartness of the green tomato went well with the sausage. The space is incredible, very rustic and woodsy, the perfect backdrop to the foraged beers. Every space was decked out with funky colors and artwork. I really wish it was closer, definitely a road trip to go back but feel it would be worth it in each of the seasons!

This place is definitely worth the drive to it. The beers are creative & delicious, and they are…read morealways rotating with the seasons. Atmosphere is rustic & rural-- it was great sitting outside next to a campfire.
