Absolutely obsessed with this place. Came in craving Korean…read morefried chicken and left thinking about it for days. The chicken is insanely crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sauces are next-level -- perfectly balanced between sweet, savory, and just the right kick of heat. You can tell everything is made fresh, and every bite hits. The vibes are immaculate too. Chill, fun, and perfect for hanging with friends, a casual date, or even a solo comfort-food moment. Portions are generous, prices feel fair, and the sides don't feel like an afterthought (that pickled radish clutch fr).

She brought our complimentary Cole slaw and pickled radish which helped tie us over. We placed our order for two side orders of chicken and dumplings. The chicken was a little disappointing. The breading and sauce was delicious, but the way the chicken was cooked wasn't the best - almost as if it wasn't cooked all the way through? We ordered the yang nyeom chicken to be spicy, and it was not. It also wasn't hot. The soy garlic chicken was hot, and the bones were breaking as we ate them. Just some inconsistencies with the two chicken dishes. The dumplings weren't bad, but nothing to rave about either. We'll most likely be back to bring the little one, just because of how fun it is, but I'll probably get a sandwich next time.

They really help with making decisions and even offer samples if you're indecisive(like me). They wear masks when packaging food and have an outdoor seating area. Both times I got my food to go, and was in and out pretty quickly. The homemade tropical punch is so good! If ordering a "made to order" menu item, expect to wait about 15 minutes. The curry shrimp is one of those items and I was not disappointed. My friend also got curry goat and the pork chop and both were SO GOOD! As always, I do wish they have more meat, but this is something I'm used to from Caribbean restaurants. BUT- they have all things on the menu when I went in, something that doesn't always happen at the Caribbean joints I'm used to. This is the second Caribbean spot I've tried in the Savannah area, and this is tops!

They charge you more to get the same sides, with the dishes that come with 2 sides. There were a few other things that surprised me, that made me not want to go back, like certain meals you can get at lunch, but not dinner and they didn't have any lamb dishes available and they pushed the goat, which was full of sharp bones. I think I'll stick with Island Breeze.

Management and ownership has changed a few time over the last eight years. Recently they started running out of toppings, which should have been a sign of their impending demise. And some nights there was only one employee slinging pizza and taking phone orders. Big thanks to them. I met the folks taking shelving out of the restaurant. They said that a new restaurant would be opening, but they did know when. Massa African Restaurant will open up shop here, they said. There's one in Pooler. I don't know if they are opening an additional spot, or relocating. I don't know which African cuisine they'll specialize in. But the guy moving equipment says they will sell pizza. I guess the salamander is staying. African pizza may sound incongruous to some, but remember that Italy tried and failed to colonize Ethiopia. And neighboring Eritrea was an Italian colony for 51 years, starting in 1890. East African food isn't well known here, so I expect -- and glean from the Pooler menu-- that the fare will be more West African, which is well aligned with local Gullah/Geechee and southern cuisine. Anyway, that's what may be coming to G-Town, a sit-down restaurant that has good reviews... and it may serve pizza. I'm in!

Man, I really wanted to like this place because I just relocated to Savannah and I am a huge fan of…read morecheesesteaks. I always find the best spot in whatever city I live in and I become a frequent customer but unfortunately this won't be my go to location. This is a small location connected to a gas station and kind of tucked in the corner of the parking lot. There are a couple of spaces in front of the establishment, but you may have to park on the other side of the gas station if there is a lot of traffic. When you walk in this feels like a legitimate spot with all of the Philly memorabilia and the juice dispensers makes you believe you are about to get an authentic Philly cheesesteak. Unfortunately, as you can see from my pictures that was not what I received. In addition to this, it took almost 30 minutes to get our sandwiches after waiting about five minutes at the counter by myself while I watched the young lady working prepare other sandwiches before taking any new orders. Meanwhile, another gentleman who I am not sure what his purpose was, stood behind the counter with his arms folded, and simply watched the whole affair without greeting or offering any sort of assistance with regard to the menu or ordering. Just a really bizarre set up but based on the one young lady working it sounds like they're having some significant labor issues so I'll give them a little grace on that. But if you can't deliver a solid sandwich, I have to ding you there. The bread itself, while appearing to be legitimate, was slightly on the stale side so as you can see, once the ingredients were added, it kind of folded in on it itself. The steak was a bit grizzly and dry, and didn't even feel the full bun up, which is definitely a pet peeve for cheesesteaks lovers. And the wings were some of the smallest, driest wings I've had in years. My guess is these were either old wings or previously frozen and fast thawed. Either way, they were almost inedible. Maybe the lack of good labor has affected their overall quality so hopefully they find a solution because this ain't it!

This was a combo special for about $13. While waiting for the sandwich and french fries I went over and chose the Coca-Cola at the self service soda fountain; and out came seltzer water. Doesn't seem like staff was paying attention to servicing the cold drink station. The sandwich order was ready within 5 minutes, consisting of a seasoned chicken breast, along with lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a soft roll There must've been a sale on mayonnaise, because the mayonnaise was just oozing out of the sandwich all over the place. The roll seemed a little stale, but you know what, it's Highway fast food. Lettuce and tomato were typical. Overall, the sandwich was well seasoned and I'd give it a six out of10. The Cajun fries were sitting probably longer than they should've been. But since there was no quality control noticed, they were placed on my tray. The Cajun fries were very soggy. They were seasoned well but soggy. The order taker looked like he was not happy to be there. He seemed a little grumpy. So the lack of quality control for food and service should be expected with attitudes like this. The floors look like they could use a mopping, and the tables look like they could be wiped down. The garbage receptacles were full. Overall, this place needs a serious redo. It is extremely dated and grungy looking. Unless I was extremely desperate, I don't think I would be returning. There are many other food choices in the area. It's my opinion that this location relies on the one shot deal not repeat customers I didn't check the restrooms. I think they were located in the service center area, and not the restaurant. I may be wrong here, but I wasn't thinking about them due to the uncleanliness of this place.
