Worst place to go. The owner is rude without reason. Makes it very uncomfortable to even shop around ..

The service was great. They kept checking in on us and our needs. I would recommend this spot for folks as their prices are fair!!

Impersonal and poor customer service. A very unpleasant place to browse with the salesperson ogling the customers in a very obvious way.

The most comfortable adult store around! The staff is great, the place is cozy and has a open, mid-town mindset.

Small but very friendly staff and quite a good selection of random stuff of "all areas"! I recommend this place and there open late.

As others have mentioned, the selection has some gaps, but I imagine you could easily order a book you want that isn't in stock. I enjoyed browsing the shelves and seeing employee recommendations. When I made it to the poetry selection, I was happy to see that it wasn't all mainstream or classic poets, and I ended up picking up a few new collections. There's an extensive children's and young adult section in the back, and the store also sells things like book-related jewelry, some cards, and a ton of cute stickers (I may have gone overboard on buying some of those). They also sell local zines, which I think is awesome. If you make a zine, you can contact them to see about selling them in the store. The front table has free bookmarks, handouts, community announcements, etc., and the person at the register let me put some of my zines on the table for people to take for free. All in all, a cute spot, and one I'd visit regularly if I lived in town.

Our local bookstore recommended checking out Wild Sisters bookstore, so we decided to make the trek…read moreto check it out. The bookstore itself feels cozy and magical, like you know you'll find a good read here. I love that they sell both new and used books. The used books are priced well, and the new books are the cover price. They have a membership program that's free where you can accumulate points to get a discount eventually. They have books for all ages, including a big back area full of children's books and middle aged children's books. I found two awesome children's books. The staff here are friendly and ready to help you if you need it. We will be back!

My review is focusing on this specifically, due to the significance of the internment in my family's life. Information specific to the book / this event: The Ireichō is a book listing every person of Japanese ancestry incarcerated in the World War II camps. The Ireichō is currently making its way across various stops in the US, allowing family members and those that knew the incarcerated to stamp their loved ones names as a way to honor them and what they endured and their strength. After the tour, the book will be gifted to the Japanese American National Museum (in LA). The stamping of the Ireichō occurred inside the main entrance of the museum, and the museum graciously allowed those stamping the book to tour the rest of the museum. Museum staff and the staff hosting the event were very welcoming. The museum itself has both long-term and short-term exhibits, listed on their website. It's fitting that they currently have a temporary exhibit at this time called, "Kokoro: The Story of Sacramento's Lost Japantown", from December 20, 2025 to March 29, 2026. If you're interested in some of CA's history, it makes for a nice stop. It is Downtown Sac, so it's all paid street parking or lots in the vicinity. There is a lot right across the street.
