These glasses that I picked up first were also the ones I ended up buying. The frame is called Cartwright and I immediately liked them. The service was great and although they said that it would take up to 7 business days for my glasses to be ready, I received a notification the next business day that I'd be able to pick them up. Also, I thought they were a good value for money: £150 including prescription lenses.

These would be the styles to show up in our part of the country in a year, or two. The wife liked the styles. We did some looking, and in a few minutes we had frames to take with us. These were not something we were going to be able to get in the States. We will get her prescription updated at home and lenses made. The young lady who helped us could not have been be nicer. She made sure the frames were the correct size for my wife's head, and that they fit properly. We are happy.

This holiday market was so nice and definitely a bit more upscale and organized compared to others. My favorite park was the ski lodge bar that was smack dab in the center. They had a full bar and it felt like you were in a small ski town. It's fairly small where you could enjoy a complete walk within twenty to thirty minutes, but it was very aesthetically pleasing. When I walked out, the door got stuck and he looked at me like he expected me to close it. As if, fella. I walked out empty-handed: by choice. Can't do bare minimum and expect someone to patronize your establishment. An upscale eyewear boutique with the attitude to match? There's too much variety in London to make this "niche" store miss-able. No wonder they're always empty.

Here is my story:…read more I went there because my glasses, that I had bought more than a year ago in the US, were broken (one arm was broken to be precise). This shop was one of the few in London supplying frames from that designer (ProDesign, Denmark). When I got in and asked about possible repairs the guy did not even made the effort to look at my glasses and just said "Oh yes we have that designer but they don't make that model anymore so we cannot help you. You can buy a new frame with fitted lenses." I left as the guy was clearly only trying to sell me more stuff. I went down the road to another optician hoping they could repair my glasses with spare parts or something and there "Surprise!!!": they were able to order a replacement arm from the designer whose frame was STILL being sold. In the end it only cost me £29.50 when I would have paid £200+ if I had stayed at Iris Optical. Not only the guy was trying to up-sale me some new frame + expensive fitted lenses but he blatantly LIED TO ME in order to do so. I find this type of practice extremely dishonest and I will never even enter this shop.

Granted, they sell £275 Chanel sunglasses but there is a refreshingly laid-back vibe to the newest kid on the London sunglass block. With a more extensive range of sunglasses than its nearest competitor, David Clulow, Sunglass Hut is handily located just near Liverpool Street station. Brands stocked include Prada, Ray Ban and the aforementioned Chanel and staff more than encourage customers to try on every pair in the shop. Highly recommended.
