On Sunday March 23rd I discovered my car was dead when I went out to start it. The 2nd time in 6 days! I called AAA again for service and Kory came out to me in an hour and a half... not a bad time I thought for a Sunday. He was very professional, friendly and thorough. I ended up buying a new battery and he cleaned off the battery cables which he told me were very dirty! There was some corrosion and he did a lot of explaining about batteries which I found very helpful since I am a senior lady and don't drive my 26 year old car that often, but have since changed my routine to now I will drive it every few days to keep this new battery charged. I just had a wonderful experience with Kyle at G and O Towing. Normally people complain in their reviews, but I wanted to write this as he was the BEST! I called AAA on Friday in a panic as I was at the dump with my truck stuck in a dumping bay and my linkage that connects to my transmission seemed to have broken. 109 degree heat! AAA dispatched G and O Towing and their driver, Kyle arrived in minutes! I have never had that before with any tow company. He asked what my problem was and took the time to really understand vs just towing me to a shop. Really good people skills! After our discussion, Kyle stated that he knew exactly what the problem was and rolled under my truck at the dump to fix the connection. He noticed immediately what was wrong fixed it and then proceeded to show me how to do it in the future. I was in and out of there fast and I thought my whole day was going to be shot! We have a 1967 A/C 427 Cobra replica that has a sketchy original vintage top-loader 4-speed transmission. It has a bad habit of getting stuck between gears when stopped, resulting in a car that won't go into neutral and won't roll, even with the clutch in. Today, it happened at the bottom of our driveway. A normal flatbed tow truck won't work. it requires a special "repo rig" truck and a person who knows how to use it. I called G and O Towing, had a lovely conversation with Trisha, and then Tracy arrived in the repo rig way ahead of the ETA I was given. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and took care of business in splendid fashion. First, I'm not AI or a an employee or a bot. I'm a real person living in El Dorado County. Yesterday could have been a very trying day for me as my truck broke down going up a steep road between two blind corners. It would not start again. I had someone come up behind me who was very upset and impatient that I was in his way. After he belittled me for breaking down where I did and then he left, a man, Morgan, drove up next to me in a G&O truck and asked if he could help me by towing me to safety. He was on a call but took the time to hook my truck up and pull me to a parking lot of a church where I could safely call triple A. Breaking down is no fun and where i broke down was dangerous. He would have taken me to J&J Auto but someone else was waiting for him. Once i got in the parking lot, i was safe to get some help towing my truck. Kory from G&O showed up and towed my truck to the shop. Both young men were very nice, professional and sympathetic to what i was going through. I will recommend G&O to anyone who will listen.My day ended well all because Morgan stopped and showed someone compassion and kindness. Shady and dishonest business. A G&O tow truck that was driving down highway 50 without mudflaps (not allowed per CA vehicle code) kicked up a rock and damaged my windshield. I immediately called G&O and explained the situation to them. They requested pictures and said they would be in touch. After no communication from them for a week I reached out to Andy the owner and he told me that they do not cover windshield damage. Poor quality, dishonest and unethical behavior. It's unfortunate that they are a AAA approved. We will be following up with a complaint to AAA about these business practices read more

I hit a huge pot hole coming out of Tahoe. My tire went flat right before an exit near El Dorado Hills. Jeremy showed up with his a good attitude and helped me find a tire shop for my small tire. He read the number of the tire for me and wrote down crucial information so I could find the right place. Because he was such a big help I got on my way and had a great Birthday trip to Pismo. My truck overheated in a very precarious location on a steep 2-lane road where there was little room between my truck and vehicles accelerating around a blind curve. There was a cliff on the other side of the road. I wondered how I could be safely towed away until Morgan pulled up and said "We have to get out of here quickly". If I could give ten stars I would! Just the nicest people! Our truck was stuck due to all the rain and mud,it was leaning precariously over a cliff that dropped into a creek, I talked to Regina (who was the kindest person ever!). A tow truck driver was out quickly, even with all the weather mayhem. He had our truck pulled out in just a few minutes! He was also really nice. On my way camping to Lake Tahoe my car broke down in Placerville, CA. AAA put me in touch with G and O, after waiting almost an hour, they called to tell me my dog could not ride with me and the only alternative was to leave him in the back in the car. The weather was 100 degrees, the dog would have died. The woman on the phone could not care less, "sorry, that is our policy" I finally had to rent a car from Enterprise and have the towing company tow the car. I'd give no stars if that was an option. After putting in a AAA request for a 5th wheel and truck to be towed I was contacted by this company. They told me "well it's labor day so we may not be able to help you today." I explained I was sitting in a 90+ degree car with my 3 dogs, cat, and husband and would greatly appreciate their help (or just to at least keep me updated). The woman assured me she would and seemed to sympathize... by the way...the trailer to be towed is going to be my home since the Santa Cruz fires left my home in ashes...so ya know...not under any stress at all. About 30min later AAA called and said the tow was denied since I was requesting "a newly purchased inoperable vehicle" well...that's not at all what happened, but okay, sure...pass along incorrect info and start a 4 hour battle of me begging AAA to help. At 12:40 I received an auto-text asking how my service was and to call a # and give feedback if not satisfied. Well, once I found a GREAT tow company (Easy Towing) to help, I decided I would call. I was SUPER polite and just stated the facts. The woman taking my message kept talking to someone else while I was talking which I thought was pretty rude- but hey...I guess it truly just comes full circle with my opinion on their service. She said she would call me back but that has not happened (and I do not expect it will...I'm not even sure she took down my number). I don't like to post bad reviews, I gave them a chance to at least pretend to care and they did not. My mother needed a tire change on the side of hwy 50 sat for 2 1/2 hours in the fog. We called three times each time being told 30 minutes before help would arrive. One time I asked if it was your mother what would you do and the lady on the phone said "tell her to walk" A G and O truck even passed by why I tried to flag them down. And they were on the on ramp not going more than 30mph easily could have stopped. Never been so disappointed in how one group of people could treat another. read more

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value We Used the service for AAA to come grab our car to be taken to tesla charging station and all was good until the tow driver Steve arrived. After speaking with him about our car he told us that he will not be helping us since we don't have a ride. What was confusing he just got done telling my 70 year old grandfather how he gives people rides. But for some reason in his words "it's his choice whether or not he gives a customer a ride" . Plus, he has 30 years of experience. According to my mechanic back home, the quote was very reasonable. A bonus was that they could start work on the job immediately.
