I was initially quoted around $800 to remove the items from my father's estate, but when the crew finally arrived around 7:00 p.m., the estimate suddenly jumped to over $3,000. At that point, I told them to forget it. Still needing a very heavy antique Mosler safe removed, I called Gone Guys in Glenview. Other companies had quoted me anywhere from $2,500 to $3,000 just to move the safe. Gone Guys quoted me $450, arrived exactly when they said they would, and their crew was professional, efficient, and courteous. They not only removed the safe without any issues but also helped move several additional items. I would absolutely use Gone Guys again and highly recommend them for moving, estate cleanouts, heavy-item removal, or junk hauling. They were honest, straightforward, dependable, and delivered exactly what they promised. My experience with them was night and day compared to College Hunks.

RC responded to my junk removal request within an hour of my early morning posting and their…read moreinitial response included a firm quote based on the old lumber pile photos and description of size of the wood pile and proximity to the driveway/loading area I had shared in my original posting. I had identified a narrow window of 3 days for scheduling the work and RC provided me with options on each of the days. Of the six vendors, only 3 responded same day and 1 never responded. The other vendors provided ranges based on their needing to actually see the lumber pile and where it was relative to the truck loading spot. RC was very responsive, had the best price, accommodated my short timeframe for removal and did a great job removing all of the debris and clearing the small stuff from the grass. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again!
