I was initially quoted around $800 to remove the items from my father's estate, but when the crew finally arrived around 7:00 p.m., the estimate suddenly jumped to over $3,000. At that point, I told them to forget it. Still needing a very heavy antique Mosler safe removed, I called Gone Guys in Glenview. Other companies had quoted me anywhere from $2,500 to $3,000 just to move the safe.
