I looked on the web for local electricians with good reviews and found Steve. I set up an appointment and Steve was right there. He talked through the work with me and all the what if scenarios for the job. I received a quote very shortly after. We scheduled a date and Steve came and did the work. Is he the most inexpensive? No, but you pay for what you get. And in this case, I got exactly what I paid for - good service, the job done well, and a very organized transaction. Not to mention, Steve is very personable, which makes it easier. I have to say that, in all my time, I have never seen a contractor who is so organized in my life. I am a big believer in doing what you say will do and Steve lives by that. I will definitely use him again.

Yelp came to my rescue. I message many, called others. But they either did not have the time for small jobs or were not available to do this work for another 3 months when the hot season is done with. When I called Best Wiring Electrical, my call was received, was asked couple of questions, I asked if it can be done on a Saturday when my building is mostly empty. Even a Saturday visit was ok. He said 9 am. I was surprised that they showed up promptly on the dot. The big challenge with this small job was that they had to bring in a tall latter to 3rd floor and be able the reach the high ceiling surrounded by ceramics! One bump and it would not have a happy ending. Amid and his co worker Cory worked very well as a team, even though I had my dog pestering them from time to time. The fan went up, and unlike most fans you see which wobbles, this one is assembled perfectly. As a added bonus I asked while they are up and above if they can be kind enough to hang this ceramic lamp for me. With out any attitude this was also done for me. I'm so pleased I decided to not wait for the old man who works at the speed of a snail for my building and hire this company in stead. Their price was comparably very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this company for any electrical work. I'm so very happy to have my fan on now that the weather is hot. Thank you Amid for coming through for me.

We wanted to install a 1 or 2-zone system, but my condo has a number of unique complications, though, so we weren't able to go forward with the project at that time. Fast-forward a couple years, and we decided to revisit the idea. We also decided to go big or go home this time, with a 5-zone system for the whole house. This time we got estimates from two other companies first, but one provided an extremely high quote and the other basically said that we were asking an impossible job that they could not do. So we reached out to NETR again, and it worked out great. The NETR price was literally more than 10K less (!!!) than what we were quoted by the other company, and they took care of all the secondary project burdens like City of Somerville building permits, upgrading our electrical service, etc. They gave us a clear idea of what to expect in terms of construction disruption, the workers were friendly and unobtrusive, and they finished the work right on schedule. It's too early to speak with certainty about the quality of the system we installed, but we are thrilled to finally have this project complete, and are very satisfied with the pricing, service, and installation work.

We called because our central air shut down. A technician ( Eric) showed up and immediately figured out it was just a faulty capacitor. We were told it would cost about $ 600 to repair with a one year warranty but if we wanted a better capacitor with a 5 year warranty the cost would be about $850. I asked him why it was so expensive if its a simple job and the part is low cost and he mumbled something about overhead and the cost of doing bussiness. When we got the bill it was $979 with the diagnostic added in. Ive since looked up the going rate for this work and it runs around $150-$300 so we were charged triple the normal cost. I really feel like my wife and I were taken advantage of because we are both elderly. Please avoid this preadatory company at all costs.
