I hired Munz Roofing and Siding to complete a siding project, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. From the start, their consultant, Stephen M., came out and provided helpful education, a thorough walkthrough, zero pressure, and a timely quote for several different product options. Munz ultimately provided the best quote among the three local companies that came out. Eric G., their general manager, also came out to review the plan and clearly outlined the steps they would take to protect our garden beds during the siding removal and installation. That level of communication and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Project Manager Chris and installer Oleg then completed the project in 9.5 days, which was even half a day ahead of their original 10-day estimate. Chris checked in every day to see if we had any questions or concerns, and Oleg's work was outstanding. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch, and he spent at least a half hour cleaning up every day before leaving. One thing that really stood out was that Oleg took the time to point out how well the previous siding job had been done when the house was built about 40 years ago. He noted that the original wrapping had been applied with meticulous precision, which helped explain why there was minimal water damage to the existing boards. That honesty was appreciated, especially because there was never a moment where the crew attempted to upsell us on unnecessary work. Overall, Munz was professional, honest, communicative, and highly skilled from start to finish. I could not recommend this company enough. However, the true issue here is the picture John has decided to paint of us, which is the reason why I have chosen to write this update just for further context for others considering working with him. To clarify what John describes as "nightmare" behavior. As he says we did not reside at the residence yet so obviously someone had to let him in to do the work. I'm not sure why he believes we were not on time- that's how we knew he was always late sometimes to the point of having to reschedule because we would be waiting for him at the house first. I do not know what difficulty he is describing contacting us and getting into the house when we have frequent text messages and outreach confirming our meeting times with him. Additionally the "late" payment he is referring to occurred over the 4th of July holiday weekend in which he gave us no exact time estimate when he'd be done; we were out with friends and not checking our phones but he messaged us at 5:45PM and we paid at 8:26PM, the very same day with apologies of the inconvience caused by the few hours delay when we had a spare moment to send payment while out. I'm happy he's brought up our text conversations as that is at least one thing I am very much in agreement with. We were nothing short of respectful and cordial in our exchanges with him and thanked him for coming out to do the work repeatedly and I would also gladly show anyone the conversation history and very much stand by the courtesy and understanding we treated him with when he asked for schedule flexibility in arrival times and more. Minus the 4th of July message delay because of us being out of town, we were prompt with responses as well which our texts would show. We also initially reached out privately via email first to try to resolve this directly with John before writing this review. It's one thing for business owner and client to disagree on an experience however I strongly feel the way John painted us as clients is highly inaccurate and upsetting.

What they did to our home was nothing short of amazing. We had a full gut rehab and went over budget a good amount to where we couldn't finish the backyard. These gentlemen worked with our budget and even found gaps in our rehab project (roof leaks, bathroom finish, gutters/drains, etc) and even fixed those for us. Now I could say that alone would be a selling point, but no, there's more. They worked quickly and efficiently! They were punctual and communicative in every step of the way. On top of that, they are great people. No one that our family spoke with ever lied to us about something they would or could do and they always made sure to check in with us along the way. I wrap this up saying this. We had a terrible backyard, TERRIBLE! It looked like it could not be salvaged with all that needed to be done and getting things in and out of it.
