Came in around 8pm for some night bites and craving some chicken wings. There were maybe two other tables as ours and a few folks at the bar but it took a strangely long time to get our food. We ordered one full order of bone-in wings that they let us get in two flavors so we chose Buffalo sauce and a garlic-Parmesan dry-rub. The dry rub was fantastic and the sauced wings weren't so good. We also got some boneless with chili lime that were pretty good. For mains I got a French dip that was unfortunately super dry to the point where the beef was crispy. My husband got a turkey club sandwich that was also dry, and my nephew got the brisket Mac and cheese he said wasn't bad but probs wouldn't order it again. read more

we have always ordered a patty melt, 01/30 the patty melt was awful burnt onions and hamburger dry, we stated wanted meat to be juicy. We believe that Lizz was owner, she never asked if everything was to our liking. We would have returned the patty melt at that time if asked. Lizz was not at all friendly to any degree. The reason we went here was because they allow dogs on their outdoor patio. We called for a reservation which was nice. We showed up and only one of us went in which was great as we were able to just walk around to the patio and pick a table. The waitress was very nice she even brought a bowl of water for our pup. I'd say the only flaw was she didn't take our order till our drinks showed up which took forever. Otherwise she waa very good as a server. The food was good. Everyone was happy with their meal. Went for lunch and we were served quickly. We had the Korean tacos and the walleye cakes. Both were tasty, however, the Walleye cakes were a tad on the dry side. The aïoli served with them was awesome! read more

I was in Saturday night 2/5/22. Jason was bartending. He's ALWAYS on point. He went above and beyond and made me the FAMOUS Spinach Artichoke Dip that I LOVE! It was after hours it was available . I couldn't have been happier. Jason is a great bartender, awesome attitude and it's easy to give him a hard time. Glenn if you see this.... I kinda told him you said it was ok. I'm surprised by the Yelp rating that G-Allen's has because I enjoyed my experience there today during the Vikings vs Jaguars game! The service wasn't speedy due to the amount of customers, but our waitress was awesome! She stopped by several times to check on us. My friend and I got very similar orders. We each went with the Cheeseburger Basket ($6 special) and a Bloody Mary ($4 on Sundays) to wash it all down. For our app, we shared beef tips ($8.99). The cheeseburger basket was phenomenal. I ordered my burger medium well, and it was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had...fluffy, rich, and creamy. They give you a big helping too! The beef tips were absolutely sensational. They were mini flavor explosions. The downside about the beef tips was that it was a very small portion. It was what I would call, an appetizer for one. If you are with a group, by several beef tip dishes, so everyone can have a bite. The Bloody Mary was good but not great. Much like any other Bloody Mary, it fills you up on its own, so if you're having a meal, maybe consider getting a lighter drink. G-Allen's has plenty of tv screens to choose from, so it's ideal for any sporting event and there's delicious food to top it all off! read more

I thought this place was very good, especially for vegetables. I ordered steak, sirloin. It was tasty and cooked just right. It came with salad that was filled with lots of fresh vegetables. I had the greek dressing and really enjoyed it. This also came with two sides. I chose asparagus in a lemon butter sauce and green been almondine. Fresh veggies and nicely seasoned. read more

We should have checked Yelp first, ugh. Truly terrible place. Nice setup and waitress was pleasant but I recommend not ordering any food. Daughter had Caesar Salad and had two hairs in it, gross! I had what was supposed to be pulled pork but was instead chunks of fatty pork parts buried in coleslaw and BBQ. Could not eat most of it was so gross. Wife had a burger that was over cooked but at least edible. Fries were good and so was pickle. When thats all you can get right you should just stick to drinks. Avoid this place for food. read more

I had went in with my daughter to have a Mother's Day dinner the waitress forgot to bring us menus and then kept staring at us and never took our order so we paid for our drinks and walked out. The service was awful I will never recommend this place to anybody read more

We used to go to g Allen's to watch Viking games but that ends now. No sound and when we asked the bartender (don't know her name) if we could get some sound her response was "there is sound". Visiting from out of town for work so we decided to stop in for post dinner drinks. Very friendly bar staff and a cool atmosphere. There weren't a lot of options when it came to spirits but what they lacked in diversity they made up with pouring stiff drinks. There were some games available in the back (Pac-Man, big buck hunter, darts) that made our time spent here even more enjoyable. Many TV's hung around so we were able to play darts while watching the NBA playoffs. We also decided to get some waffle fries after a few drinks that ended up being freshly made and VERY good. 100% would come back to this place read more

I really want to like this place as we need more non-chain options in the St. Cloud area but after a half dozen visits each experience has been worse than the last. The beer selection is great but most of the taps taste like keg needed to be changed out weeks ago and the quality food is downright dismal. Darn we missed the 2 got $5 beers by 5 minutes on Saturday. Ordered raspberry inferno boneless Wings. Tasted similar to raspberry jalopeno jelly sauce. They were good and a little over crunchy. Also had à side of french Fries and 2 shock top white beer taps which were very good and cold. Waitress was very slow to ask If I wanted another. Sat over 5 minutes with an empty beer not cool. Stopped by on our way through Sartell. Cool looking building outside. Fairly standard bar & grill inside with a contemporary style. Sat at a booth next to a pool table. (Remind me not to do that again.) The waitress was friendly, the burrito I had was large, filling and good. The mushroom swiss burger that my wife had only had one mushroom on it. Her side item was cole slaw which proportionally was larger than the burger. (Never have seen so much slaw on one plate.) Overall, this place is better that average with good food. read more

This is our go-to bar for drinks and food. My friends and I are addicted to their Strawberry Sangria (there others are good as well!). We have always loved their food and have never had a bad experience (I tend to go for their buffalo chicken sandwich - so good!). Their bartenders/waiters are the friendliest staff I've met and are always willing to do any drink concoctions we ask for. Not only that, but they also give us great suggestions as well! Special shoutout to our favorite bartender "They Call Him Mike" for making us the best shots you can get in the St. Cloud area. G-Allen's offers a friendly, modern, calm, and not-overly-loud atmosphere that we love - not to mention it's always super clean! Ive really enjoyed gallens for years now but for the last few months the quality of service and food has really been going down. There is an older female bartender that has been rude to us and ive witnessed her being rude to other patrons also. Also twice we have had take out orders that was incorrect. On the second occasion my wife called gallens and the person she spoke too said thwy would mail a free meal voucher to us after taking our address. 1 month later it hasnt arrived. This used to be a very good establishment but sad to say is going downhill. read more

4 of the last 5 times I have gone here they get orders wrong. I have had different servers everytime and it doesn't change. I get my meal and sit for 5 minutes without silverware or my water I asked for. My food is cold by this point. So I go up myself and get water and silverware for my whole table. I would recommend you go somewhere else if u don't want to deal with and serving issues. They are complete garbage when it comes to service. Nice to see a new menu! We tried 2 new items on the menu... The Pesto Mushroom Ravioli was AMAZING! I tried the Shrimp Risotto & it was not good at all. There were 5 small shrimp that looked & tasted like they were just thawed out. The risotto looked & tasted like a pile of mushy rice & there was absolutely NO taste to this dish at all. Went here tonight for dinner with my parents. The special was a burger and fries for 6 bucks which my dad ordered. He also ordered a side of queso for his fries. When his food arrived, the side of queso he ordered was filled to the brim inside of a soup cup (who in their right mind needs that much cheese for a handful of fries??). When we received our bill, they tried to charge 3 bucks for the side of queso. 3 dollars??? That's half of the price of his entire meal! Apparently there are two different sized side cups you can get that we were not told about when ordering. A small side of queso is 75 cents and a large is 3 dollars. When I asked the bartender (who I thought was the manager) about it, he told me he would take the charge off this time, however my dad needs to be more specific next time when ordering. Excuse me?? How could he have possibly known to specify a small cup if the waitress did not inform him of the different sizes and prices when ordering? She was also very unfriendly, and when overhearing me speaking to the bartender about my bill, yells "what did I do?!" Extremely disappointed with the customer service of this restaurant and do not plan on visiting again anytime soon. read more

Ive been here a handful of times and each time I am amazed by how wonderful the food and service is.

Unfortunately our visits were not impressive. We have gone there a few times and i ordered the same thing every time and every time it was different. There is no consistency, it slow and disorganized. It took a long time to get our drinks each time. I would not recommend. read more
