Off all the responses we received from potential cleaning services, Dodge the Job seemed most in-line with what we were looking for, so we booked them to come clean two carpets and a large rug. Dodge the Job was prompt, courteous, and professional. They sent me information about what they needed before sending an invoice, they communicated with me leading up to the cleaning day, and, once on site, they explained to me the process they were going through (including how long they would take to clean, how long we'd need to wait until they dried, and what could help accelerate this process). Although the previous owner said he'd had the place cleaned before the final walk-through, Dodge the Job immediately knew that the previous owner had a dog just based on the condition of the environment. They did a good job cleaning the carpet and the rug (which had flood stains from our previous apartment) looked almost new. If I ever need our place cleaned, I'll definitely be contacting Dodge the Job (and be recommending them to folks in Maryland & DC).

Eventually, I figured out that the only option was to contact Corina in the office, talk to her, and have her relay whatever it was to her workers. I finally gave up on them when I came home to find the workers just arriving. As the workers entered, my dog excitedly came running to see what was going on (as he always does). When they showed up, they stated the price would be $250. I thought this was a poor way to do business, but I agreed as I needed someone to clean. The person who came spent over two hours cleaning, but I could not identify anything that had actually been cleaned other than the stovetop. There was still dust and cat hair on the furniture and floors, there was actual dirt on the floors that was not there when they started, nothing had been vacuumed, it did not appear that anything had been swept or dusted, my area rugs were stuffed into trash bags, and the cats' food and water dishes had been dumped out. I spent the hour after she left vacuuming and dusting. I will not be bringing them back and I DO NOT recommend this service to anyone else.
