Even though other record stores may have a more exhaustive selection, this store just has the cool factor over all of the rest in the area. I don't come here with anything in particular in mind, I'm just going to flip through stuff and see if there's anything I want at a price I'm willing to pay. I have seen some limited edition color vinyl at not-terrible prices here, and a couple of those have certainly gone home with me. One other thing I love here, the owner will put together mystery bags of 4-5 records for a low price. You never know what you're going to get, but if you are someone who is open to many different kinds of music, you may find some really fun records. It's an inexpensive way to start building a collection. In one bag I purchased, there was even a record from Record Store Day way back in 2013. I also have some funk/soul records I *never* would have thought to buy, and you know what, they're pretty good. This is pretty much the store I will go to when I just want to shop aimlessly and see what I find.

Met with the owner, Angel, who displayed an enigmatic smirk, as we chatted about his nostalgic store and seemed very knowledgeable about his inventory. The merch was easily visible in multiple sections of genre. Im gonna bring in some of my vintage Marvel action figure collectibles for an appraisal and hopeful sale. The comics from the 1980s were competively priced for their condition and rarity. Center store there was a display case of retro pinback buttons provided a quick flashback of the past. This was the kind of store where you could easily lose track of time! Definitely recommend a peek for all collectors or unique gift ideas.

When I saw this near Tealicious (bubble tea shop) on Google Maps, I knew I had to stop here. And the two shops often collab together! My 10-year-old was stoked about this too. We popped in after a Tealicious visit on 6/6/2024. Kpop Kastle may be small in size, but it packs a serious punch. And everything is clean. Organized. Up-to-date. Albums. Photo cards. Plush animals. Chatted with the owner Gunther about the 80s hardcore scene, suprisingly he knew alot about the industry as a young guy. Lots of hardcore punk and metal with a good assortment of hip-hop and Indie remastered records at great prices. Also a few bins of $1 - $5 original presses of various artists. Noticed two older guys bringing in their bucket of nostalgic records to sell. Grabbed a couple of free tickets to a Revolution Live concert and a Pure Honey magazine. This place is a nice addition to the downtown Ft Laud area.

Entered the store and saw an oddly tall calm guy grading comics and with a quiet hello I started browsing the 70's and 80's comics in a decent sized section at the front. Definitely found a few nice comics and were pleased that the pricing was realistic. Lots of Captain America and Fantastic Four which were my favorite superheroes in my massive collection.

Also, people are hanging out and they're playing music, so it's a really nice vibe. I wound up finding two cool records in their discount bin and my daughter picked up albums by Metallica and Ozzy Osbourne. Overall, we both left happy. While I love to support local businesses and record stores, I do have to mention that their prices are a little bit on the high side. Not that it would prevent me from going back or anything, because like I said it is a great little record shop. However they are definitely more expensive than other area record stores and way more expensive than what you could find online. One of the albums my daughter got was like 36 bucks but we later saw it in the same condition on Discogs for half that.
