I work for a smaller agency for the State of Arizona and was recently tasked with some procurement with firearms equipment. I Dreaded going to another police equipment shop because in the past I have been treated as if I had no knowledge. (Not FX) my recent experience with FX was great! The selection was good and a variety of equipment was available. I was assisted by staff member Helena. What a breath of air! she was attentive and willing to go the extra mile and call a store in another county to locate the ONE item that was not in stock. that item was delivered rapidly and was ready for pickup before our P.O. was cut. Had to stop by to get some cuffs. First time coming here and I must say the have a really good selection. Everything you need if you are a first responders, security, or just your own gear for protection. The prices where not bad, not cheap, but not bad either. I will for sure be coming back. wanted a retractable baton. called fx tactical and verbally described the item to a "T". like, 4 times. he just could not understand. then the old law enforcement attitude slipped out and he said something like "well,..if you described it RIGHT,....blah blah..." well,..against my judgement, i went in anyways because i need one of these. they run,..oh,...18-22 dollars EVERYwhere else. for a STEEL one. (the good kind). the girl behind the counter didnt want to deal with me either. then,...finally i get one in my hand,....120 dollars!!!! w-w-whaaAATT? maybe if i WAS a cop,..i would have paid that,...because cops get reimbursed every penny. so, even if it was 400 dollars,...they would still sell,..because its coming out of the taxpayer's wallet,... not the officer's. some business. walked out laughing. hard. went straight to miller's surplus,...they had 6 of every type and size of baton under the sun. 18 dollars. their steel ones are just as sturdy as FX's 120 dollar one. in every way. I am going to update my FX review. This place was a total disaster for the first couple years it was open. In the last year or so though, I don't know what changed, but it was a major change for the better. The staff is friendly and stuff is done in a timely manner. It seems like the uniform changeover at my workplace was just too much for them to handle. However, now that the volume of work has gone down I have had zero problems with this place. I can gladly go from a one star to a four star rating. I would give it five, but most accessories I can find online for for cheaper than I can at the store. Wow, so let me start off by saying I am a decorated combat veteran from the United States Marine Corps. I hate pulling that card, but it is pertinent to this situation. I just visited FX tactical for the very first time on a recommendation from one of my veteran friends. My fiancé and I were profiled from the MOMENT we walked in the door. (Probably because we both have tattoos and I have long hair). We spent a good 15-20 minutes browsing the store without EVER being approached by any of the 3 employees working at the time. During the time we were there, 4 other plain clothes customers, and one uniformed Sheriffs deputy also came in.... they were all greeted warmly immediately. The ONLY time an employee spoke to either of us was to comment on the weather as a torrential downpour began while we were shopping. I, like many other vets, spend a good amount of my income on tactical clothing and equipment; which is why I was referred to FX in the first place. However, after that horrible experience I will NEVER return to that store and I will recommend to all my Veteran and Law Enforcement friends that they do the same. Shame on this place. Looks great when you walk in the door. Plenty of parking. That's about all the good that I can say. Items on order do not come in when promised. I tried to return and unused item with the receipt, but they wouldn't take it back, after having it only 1 week and finding out it wasn't the right item for my job. Staff doesn't really seem to care much about customers. Prices are high, but that would be ok if service was good. read more

Fx tactical has to be one of the worse places to go for anything. If it's not in stock you will wait several weeks for it to get in. If it's in stock you will wait several weeks for them to do any alterations or put your name and patches on. You may get a call from them when it's done. I have never had as poor of an experience with any other uniform shop. At this point I've 0 for 5 in getting acceptable service there. And the service seems to be going downhill. read more

I never use to have an issue ordering from FX but I placed an order for a new uniform and boots and it has been 2 months now since I placed the order. It's very frustrating when you call or go in and staff just continues to say we will call you when its ready. Ummmmm 2 months? FX has turned into Pima uniforms, sad day. read more

Im sure having a contract changes attitudes but not for the better. The service has been acceptable in the store but the follow thru and delivery is definitely sub par. The wait times are absolutely unacceptable. read more

Came in here to pick up some rapid assault shirts and was helped immediately. They were very friendly and made alterations for free. Will shop here again for sure. Definitely better selection than Pima. read more
