After visiting a few times, I decided to try the Gel-X manicure, and now I don't think I'll ever go back to acrylic nails. Terrible and won't ever go back. I was able to be seen as a walk in, but they gave you "check in" on a screen upon entry which is confusing as hell and I made no sense. I had to keep entering my phone number and it kept saying I had no points. Finally I said something and she said it's ok and sit down. Then the older lady who did my nails was awful and rude. She kept SLAPPING my foot to get it to move or me to move. At one point I said "idk what you want me to do". Then she turned the massage chair off because she said she couldn't do my toenails with it in. That was the first time in my life I've ever heard that lol. I've been going to this place for years. They have a lot of great nail technicians at this location. They also have a shop Mom who will always greet you with a smile. When I found Ngoc, I knew I found my person She always takes her time, has great conversation, and always makes sure I leave completely satisfied. I am a working mom, and my fills are usually 6-8 weeks apart with my busy schedule. My fill is work, and she never gives me a hard time, we laugh about how good they look. The gel manicure I got was rushed and lead to multiple of my nails having imprints on them since they weren't given the proper time to cure. On top of that, the machine to cure them was totally filthy and I don't think it's ever been cleaned. I got my lip and eyebrows waxed as well and the wax was way too hot with the process once again rushed leading to my skin getting burned and my eyebrows being two different shapes. read more

So I've been going to this nail salon for a very long time, at least 5 years. My mom and I used to go together and now I go because it's close and the service WAS good. Over the past couple years, the service has gone down in a spiral. The technicians talk on the phone while they do your nails and are only interested in taking your money. Today, August 28th, 2019, I came to get my nails done. I usually walk in and get them done, and I was seated with a tech I hadn't had my nails done by before, but generally, my service has been ok so I didn't think anything of it. I came in just having one nail color in mind and then my technician asked if I wanted to try a design (see attached photo of Pinterest screenshot). I thought it was cute so I decided why not. I was a little skeptical because I don't usually do designs. My technician was fast and seemed like she didn't want me to see my nails until the very end, which was a big mistake. You can see my actual nail underneath which is not what I wanted or anyone would want(see attached photo of my actual nails), the shape wasn't correct (I like my nails very sharp), and the color on the tip was very thick and on some nails not even. I paid $55 ($50 and $5 tip, which i shouldn't have tipped at all), and I left kind of unhappy and I didn't really have time to fix it because I had to work, but decided to go back and fix it anyway. I asked my tech if she can fix them and I told her what the problem was, and she got an attitude with me for not being happy with her suggestion or work. After this experience I will no longer be getting my nails done here. I used to love bringing my friends here and getting my nails done, but now I don't like telling anyone where I go because I don't recommend coming here anymore. read more

I don't think these people understand the importance of sanitation when working at a nail salon!!! like you can give people a bad infection!! this was my third and last time coming here. lee always does my nails but everyone she does them she's using items that are unsanitary. everyone she does my feet I have to ask her to change the purple foot scrub because it looks like it's been used on MULTIPLE people! today, once again I had to ask her to change before starting my feet and she said that I would have to pay $6 that why I can keep it and bring with me everytime, I'm sorry what ?! that item isn't a multiple use item it's supposed to be disposable ! after she went back and forth with me about and called the owner they agreed to get another one by that time I didn't even what the service anymore but she said she'll have to charge me if I don't finish. she had an attitude the entire time while doing my feet, which I find crazy because ma'am you're suppose to alway use sanitized tools ( not just clean with alcohol) and new feet scrubs. smh ! never again ! read more

I've been here before but I will never go back. I went in to get my gel x removed and get a regular manicure. First of all, to remove my gel-x they filed the top lightly and began to shove a different fake nail under my gel x to pop them off which hurt my real nails. I then proceeded to ask them to please file it off rather then popping them off. The nail tech then began my manicure to which she didn't clean the edges once other than using her nail occasionally and finished all of this within 30 minutes. As my nails dried I began to inspect them and realized that I was not satisfied with the paint job. I then asked for my nails to be removed and if I could please have my money back as I was not happy with what I paid for to which I was told repeatedly that they look that way because I just got gel-x removed. Personally, I feel that whether or not I had gel-X removed the paint is still sloppy. I will not be returning. read more

I came in with my boyfriend because we are from out of town, and I had a decent experience when coming in before. However, this time, the man at the front told me to pick out a color, and then had my boyfriend get started. I asked if I could sit next to him while i waited for mine, and he said not for 15-20 minutes. First he said it was due to social distancing, but then he sat a woman next to me at a nail station, and two women were sitting next to each other at other nail stations. Clearly he not only couldn't do my feet, I guess only his women do them, but he also took away my ability to get a pedicure with my boyfriend, as he was going to be finished before I began. When I addressed the other people sitting next to each other, he said that they had appointments. My boyfriend told him that we also live together, and not having appointments shouldn't restrict us from sitting next to each other, and he said "she can sit there in 15 minutes." Then he walked away. That's when I realized he was more concerned with me using his massage chair than he was with social distancing. It wasn't very busy at all, yet he couldn't take care of a customer. I have never seen a nail salon where the manager doesn't get their hands dirty when they have customers waiting. I told him I wasn't getting a pedicure. Unfortunately, my boyfriend had already started receiving his pedicure, otherwise we would have walked out before receiving any services at all. read more

I have been to the nail salon twice now and both times were awful. My nails are completely ruined at this point and I was in so much pain after the second visit. My first visit I got a pretty simple design and the nail tech struggled a lot with it but it came out OK but on my second visit it was the same nail tech but I wanted a simple polish and I asked not to do gel this time because I wasn't a fan and it came off super quick, then she proceeded to tell me to do gel maybe 7 times and I'm not exaggerating. I had a broken nail so I asked for dip on just that one and she insisted I get acrylic and I said no thank you and she then told me that my nails will be very weak with dip (which has never happened to me my nails have been strong and fine) so she was clearly frustrated that I only wanted to do a regular polish and she then told me why don't I just get a manicure and my cuticles needs to be done....which I do my cuticles at home and use cuticle oils twice daily so I know they were just fine and I just didn't want a manicure I was on a time crunch. She made very rude comments throughout the whole visit and told me it'd take a really long time for my nails to dry with regular polish which literally isn't true it maybe takes 15 mins under the fans. Before she put the polish on after a long time of arguing back and forth...she filed my nail beds so far down with an electric file that my nails were bleeding and hurt so bad...they are now so fragile that they bend backwards and the nail bed is ruined and I've been growing them out for weeks and they are still so weak. I used to walk over to LEE Nails since it's so close to my apartment, but got treated badly one too many times. So, I walked over to FX Nails and was pleasantly surprised, even though it's more of a hike to get there. I was greeted immediately upon walking in and seated for my deluxe Pedicure. The salon was moderately busy, but quiet and the staff was professional and efficient. My pedicure was divine! The tech took her time and really gave a phenomenal massage! I went in on April 15th, and today, a month later, my toes still look great! No chipping and the color is still glossy. I have been a customer at this location of FX nails since I moved to Orlando 8 years ago. I have always recommended them and even when I moved to the opposite side of town, still made the trip to come here. I appreciated the service and the prices. On April 1st I came here to get my nails done for my birthday after a terrible week and just learning I would soon be laid off. I walked in and asked the man at the front how much it would be to have my nails taken off and have a duplicate set put on. My nails were coffin shaped. He asked a nail tech and she said $30. I said ok . I sit down in the chair and the woman starts my nails. She takes my old set off and starts to put the new tips on. As she's doing so she says "this is going to be $32." I asked her why $32? and stated that the man just told me $30. She told me that it's bc this new set is longer. I told her it wasn't & I am getting the same thing I had before. Don't get me wrong... this wasn't about $2. It was about the fact that the price was changed when she was already in the middle of doing my nails. So after I question this, she then tells me it's actually $37 bc they charge $5 for takeoff. So a this point the price has already increased $7 since I sat down. I haven't had acrylics in a while where I needed them to take them off in the salon but the last time I did, they didn't charge as long as I was getting a new set. I understand things change, but I specifically asked for a price when I walked in - before I sat down. So at this point the nail tech calls the daughter of the owner over. I told her what happened and she told me I shouldn't listen to the man - who I believe is her father. So who should I listen to? Bc a nail tech is actually the one who gave me the price. She basically told me she didn't care and that's the way it is. I asked them to just finish my nails so I could leave, and that after 8 years I will not be returning due to their decline in customer service. As she continued my nails this was still bothering me. I remembered I had taken a photo earlier in the day that showed my nails. I pulled out my phone and showed the nail tech. I asked her if this is different from what I asked for? Being that the price given to me was based on my nails when I came in. She got upset and told me that she wasn't going to finish my nails and that someone else could do them. She then told me that I needed to move. I asked her who was going to finish my nails and she told me she didn't know. After sitting there for a few minutes I asked the man who would finish my nails and he connected me with another, nicer nail tech. She started my nails and continued to tell me that I would need to pay $37 (plus tip). So you mean to tell me, from the time I walked in the door, you upped the price $7 - bc "you can", the other nail tech quit midway through, I sat there waiting, and you still want me to pay you this amount? She eventually discounted it $5 and I was so over the situation that I just paid and left. The aggravation in this situation is the principle not honoring the original price given when I agreed to the service. Whether it was a $2 difference or a $50 difference, that is not ok - and terrible customer service. read more

Ridiculous!!! If you can't draw a damn snowflake you shouldn't of tried. I asked for it to be redone and they told me I had to wait 2 hour or come back the next day. Worst customer service ever. I used to always go to this place to get my nails done by a young lady that works there & never had problems and I usually would get coffin medium length nails. But I had got them done by someone else & got them short and French tip for a wedding. 2 nails it broke 2 days after as I was on my way to get ready for the wedding. & I was still charged because it was gel. I tried the place again & went to someone different because I was never let down before. I did my coffin medium length nails and one broke 2 days later again. I had a horrible experience there. They are really rude. The first time I visited this salon, was the last time I will be going back to that salon. The owner unplugged the massage chair that I was sitting in. I wanted to get my toes done but they couldn't take me because I had to leave. But my sisters were there getting their nails and feet done. I just think the owner could have handled the situation better. She could have just told me that I needed to get a service done to take advantage of the massage chair.
