I own a single family residence. It is an income property. The most recent tenant moved out. Unfortunately, the family that performed vacancy cleaning for me in the past was no longer available. I identified FVF on Yelp. Speaking with the principal, I explained that the house was vacant, and I already scheduled for the house to be painted inside and out. With regard to the interior, the painters would cover the walls, ceilings, and paint inside the closets. Afterwards, new carpet and padding would be installed. I needed a quote for vacancy cleaning, with emphasis on the tile floors, scrubbing of the 2.5 bathrooms and kitchen, and a clean out of the cabinets in those rooms. FVF went to house, did a walk through, and provided me with a quote detailing what they would do. On the day of the cleaning, four women and a supervisor arrived. It was clear that they intended to attack the job in full force and then move onto the next job. I was not there when they finished and left. But I estimate they spent about 2 hours on the task. To their credit, they did everything specified in the proposal. My criticism is that if "it" wasn't specifically mentioned in the proposal, they didn't touch it. Remember: I wanted the house to be professionally cleaned for new tenants. During the carpet installation, some debris was left in obvious places. The cleaning crew didn't touch it. Lighting fixtures still had dust and spider webs. Fingerprints on light switch and electrical outlet plates before the cleaning crew arrived were still there after they left. If FVF were to say, "Did you expect us to go into each room to wipe off the electrical plates?" I would reply, "Well, why didn't you at least clean the plates in the kitchen or bathrooms you scrubbed; because it wasn't specified in the proposal?" I am neither happy nor unhappy with the FVF's work--I'm ambivalent. FVF actually did an decent job on task listed in their proposal. But in rigidly limiting their activity to only those items identified in their proposal, it also established the maximum amount of work they would do and an excuse to ignore obvious things that should have been addressed. I hope that FVF takes this as constructive criticism. For the prospective customer, my advice is to make sure items you want addressed are specifically covered in their written proposal. If it isn't documented, it probably won't get done. read more

We used FVF for a few years. They do fast, gross work.... no detail. They bring in 4 women who are forced to work as fast as heck .... in and out. They just raised their rates which is fine, but they aren't willing to do a good job unless you pay them extra for every little thing. The son is nice, but Luis rules the roost. Fernando and family have been my weekly housekeeping crew for about 6 years now. They are awesome! They do a great job cleaning. They always have a crew of 4-5 people, which allows them to get through my house in a jiffy. Over the years they have never flaked on showing up when expected and I have never had anything damaged or missing. I have teenagers and we're admittedly not the most tidy family in the world, but Fernando's crew is always friendly and gracious- they are willing to work around any "work in progress" we may have going. When I was pregnant and on bed rest I knew just who to call for cleaning services. I met the FVF cleaning staff while working as a nanny and thought they were trustworthy and did a thorough job on the house I was nannying. Soon enough I got pregnant and needed the help! They do a wonderful job and are very quick usually done in less than an hour because usually 3-4 ladies are working their magic. After I had the baby we still needed some assistance so they are still here every few weeks and I always know I can count on them. It's hard to find good honest cleaning services in Orange County at a reasonable rate but Fernando has been gracious and we are within budget. I would definitely recommend to others. read more

I hired Luis and FVF cleaning a few weeks ago. Today was our first cleaning. I had explained our situation with our dog that we have at home. He's a teacup yorkie who spent 2 weeks in the hospital recently and almost died from Parvo. He's been home for a few weeks now and is quarantined in his "bedroom" which is the downstairs bath. We as owners can not even touch him unless we sanitize our hands first. Also we can not have any shoes whatsoever in our home due to bringing outside germs and disease in the house. If the dog was healthy this was not be an issue but his poor little immune system can not fight off germs right now because he is still recovering. When I interviewed Luis I made it VERY CLEAR to him to remove shoes before entering our home and to NOT TOUCH THE DOG due to vet's orders. The dog was kenneled up in the downstairs bathroom which was off limits to anyone cleaning. I informed Luis I would be cleaning that room myself. Thank God I have cameras in my house because within 1 minute of Luis and his family being in my home not only are all of them tromping around my living with wearing shoes but their son is in the downstairs bathroom with my dog playing with him. I am livid and disgusted. I made the severity of our situation clear verbally, in texts and in person as well multiple times. I was assured that the rules would be followed. Now I have informed my dogs vet that a stranger touched my dog without disinfecting first and that my dog was subjected to outside germs. My husband and I have spent $17,000.00 for our vet bills in the past few weeks due to our baby almost dying and Luis and his family could have just cost us more in vet bills if Chico gets sick from not being handled correctly with sanitation first. Luis, your apology doesn't fix the fact that my baby may get sick now. He's basically the equivalent to a cancer patient. Everything has to be sanitized, toys, floor, our hands, etc. I am livid that my house rules that are pretty basic were not followed. Don't come in the house with shoes, and don't touch the dog. You ASSURED me these two rules would be followed. 1 minute in my home you and your family are doing whatever they please! Outside germs come from shoes so if you walk through grass with a disease you bring that disease into my home. It would be the same if I had a child with a weakened and compromised immune system. They can not be subjected to germs!!! Please be assured I WILL be forwarding over the vet bill to you for an exam I am now forced to schedule. If my dog's immune system was compromised please know you folks will be looking at a law suit. read more

I had FVF "deep" clean my home as I had been unable to due to injuries. My home looks worse not than it did before. He threw all the counter top items in boxes and I do mean threw, breaking glasses and other breakables. He did not empty my trash --he left heavy boxes in the middle of the room. The worst thing was the fact he kept leaving the door open to the outside after my telling him to close it because of my cat. There are coyotes in the area and my emotional support cat (who is 12 years old) had never been outside before. Fortunately he came back. All in all it was a very unpleasant experience. I have been searching for a good cleaning service for a while and was asking my friends for recommendations. I searched yelp for different cleaning vendors and received multiple quotes. Some of them were unreasonable in the pricing and some just don't sound or look reliable. I finally received a great recommendation from one of my friends who have used FVF for their regular house cleaning service.
