Mr C ordered the Shanghai Noodles which has both chicken and shrimp (and it's not the small dinky…read moresized ones!) and it was absolutely scrumptious! Highly recommend adding some chili oil to level it up For myself, I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken which comes with an egg , side of carrots and lettuce and 2 spring rolls Once my food arrived, I immediately noticed the green onion and onion smell (not a fan) but I also noticed the delectable aroma of the lemongrass chicken So, I did what I usually do and scraped off the bits of green onion from the rice and proceeded to eat my meal! Rice, chicken and egg were The rice was cooked just the way I liked and lemongrass chicken were so flavourful! The egg was surprising as I expected over-hard but it was more over-medium so it a even better I tried to overcome the onion scent/flavour from the spring rolls but after eating two (delicious) pieces, I decided I really can't anymore so Mr C got lucky and ate the rest for me (along with the lettuce/carrots hehe).

My server told me the locals (ahem...Canadians) can't handle the spice. I didn't enjoy the spring roll as much as I should be. It's was served slightly warm and with the peanut dipping sauce. The sauce was different. I don't know what they use but I swore it tasted like there's hoisin.

When my husband proposed the idea of us to move from San Francisco Bay Area to Saskatoon, my first…read morequestion was... "What's the sushi situation over there?"... -- which he honestly answered he's sure there are but might be fusions and not as great as Asia's or the Bay Area's. I kid you not, months before we departed on our big adventure to live in the prairies, i ate sushi 3x a week wishfully thinking it will satisfy my cravings once we get to Saskatoon. However, two foodie friends i made through Instagram recommended i check out Sushi Raku and I'm thankful i did! Sushi Raku satisfied my sushi cravings and it is ultimately probably the best i've had in Saskatoon. You might wonder why only 3 stars? -- I feel like if i gave it a 5, it'll be unfair to my sushi spots in California or New York or Asia that are definitely on another level of frickkkken sushi freshness. Sushi Raku's cuts or sashimi are insane. They definitely don't get stingy with that. Their Salmon sashimi was bomb. They also had Toro when I came for my birthday! (And cheaper in price compared to Bay Area) They also had Uni! Tuna- was eh. We got a few pieces that were frozen , which they immediately replaced. Service was impeccable and quick. This place will def be my go-to sushi spot here in Saskatoon.

I came in for a quick lunch as I was nearby. Just ordered the #2 Special, Vermicelli Noodle bowl…read more I was okay but nothing special. It came with a spring roll, pork and shrimp. What I didn't like is how they commondeered two of the back booths for restaurant supplies and things. Looked just a tad ordinary.

My first time trying out @thegranadahouse and it was a good experience!…read more Both Mr C and I got the Sirloin Special which consists of Sirloin Steak, salad, side veggies , garlic toast and potato of choice for $18! Nowadays, I think that's a good deal for the amount of food and quality. The salad was a side dish but it was so beautiful it looked like a main (small) dish! They did went a little heavy on the dressing but I rather it be heavy than too light. 'Twas a good start to the meal! Next is the steak; I asked my steak medium done but it was more of a medium well - which honestly - didn't matter cause it was even better than I expected. It had a really nice charred look AND flavour that once I took that first bite, I just kept on eating! However, as I was getting close to the second half, it got more salty I had to take a bite of steak then a bite of carrots to ease saltiness. Which leads to the next item... Carrots = super soft = YESSSS I LOVE IT! No complaints here No picture for garlic toast but it was okay; I would've liked it more if it was more toasted but I still scarfed it down I got lemon roasted potatoes while Mr C got loaded baked potatoes. We both enjoyed our potatoes very much I do think the lemon roasted could have a bit more flavour but it was still good nonetheless! Last but not least - my second favourite item of the entire meal : French Vanilla Cheesecake I normally don't order desserts cause it's overpriced for one slice BUT it's French vanilla cheesecake!! I couldn't help myself but order to try it and it was amazing. I loved it so much I don't regret ordering it at all It actually gives me inspirations to try making it myself In conclusion, Granada House is definitely a hit on my list and I recommend going for a nice dinner out! It has a very nice family friendly, cozy interior Oh and service was excellent Even tho some flavours were off, I would still order it again as it might've just been a one-off
