The monthly pass is nice but the The RFID system is hit or miss at times. One attendant tells me to pull up to get sticker to read, then the next day another attendant tells me to pull back. I shouldn't have to keep adjusting my vehicle back and forth for your broken system to read my windshield. It should never be this difficult. I should be able to pull up and it work every time. Its extremely frustrating and I wish there was a better alternative. I'd have no problem entering my member ID on the screen if it meant getting the gate to open every single time. No customer should have to suffer through this. The quality of the wash itself is decent and the heated dry is a nice touch in the winter time. Overall I will continue to be a customer, but I just hope management fixes the kinks in the RFID system. read more

New Jax branding, $11 basic wash didn't clean car well. There was dirty residue all over. This wash is worse than ever.

After reading reviews it seems I'm not the only person disappointed. One thing I loved about futuristic, as well as many other people, the after hours vacuums. First of all, not everyone has time during the day to spend an hour cleaning out their car. Secondly, growing up in Wixom, it was a weekly tradition during the summer months to go with friends at night and clean out our cars. I went today around 7pm and the vacuums were off. Okay whatever I'm already here and I've got some quarters.. so I pull back to the machines. The first one I tried ate all my quarters... okay no problem I have a good song playing. I back up a few machines and try again. Ate all my quarters!!! Now I'm mad. The futuristic car wash itself was never really that good, but the vacuums and the memories made it the only place I'd ever go.. my home car wash shall I say. Went through the self power wash AND the drive through wash, cost me $14 total. Bottom half of the Bronco sport was still dirty. The mat washers were not working. Guy who worked there said that they often dont use water to clean mats, tried several machines and didnt clean mats and didnt get salt off. Last time i get ripped off from this dump. I went for the second wash from the bottom. Sign said that includes wheel wash and wax. Perhaps the wheel wash is only for the back wheels. They were clean, but front wheels stayed dirty. If there is wax, it's on top of the dirt where the wash did not remove it. There were dirt stripes from the front to the back on the roof. It appears that brushes did not go all the way from the right to the left, or vice versa. Back of the car was all soapy upon leaving. Windshield still had dirt around where wipers go. Front of car still had dirt. It took me an hour and a half to make the car look like it had a car wash. I've used Futuristic before and I would have rated it 3 or 4. Staff needs to wash their cars to see what's happening. Right now, the wash is definitely a 1 rating. Total waste of money. read more

Great operator. They keep the equipment in top shape. Cleans better than the chain operations and I understand it's family owned. Definitely A+ when it comes to wash quality. Their are no water spots on the car afterwards like some of the other washes. The vacuums pull strong and aren't clogged with stuff like some other washes. Futuristic Car Wash is an OK car wash solution in Wixom, Michigan. Unlike some cheap car wash options in the area, I haven't found that Futuristic scratches your car, which is a huge plus. As someone who cares about his car, this is always the biggest concern when using an automated car wash. The entrance of the car wash is a 3 lane system, and all 3 lanes are automated and accept cards which is very convenient. Now for the major downside of Futuristic. Overall it does a decent job of cleaning your car, other than the backside. For some reason, every time I've used the car wash, I've found that it's just incapable of properly cleaning the backside. I expect some of this on my Subaru WRX with a spoiler, as it may be difficult for the machine to properly clean the trunk lid, but I found that this was absolutely unacceptable on a basic, vanilla car like a Honda CR-V, especially when I'm paying close to $20 for a car wash. Overall, if you're willing to give it a shot, you might have a good experience at Futuristic, but like me, you might be left with a bad taste in your mouth that you paid so much for a good carwash, and only 3/4 of your car is really clean. read more

Used the self car wash which is located in the back beyond the car wash. Not sure if quarters are accepted as the machine provided tokens which is what I used. Make sure you read all button choices before putting your token in so you don't waste time/money. I only used the foam brush and spray for a simple wash. It cost me $6 for 8 minutes. Let's just say I had to hurry in order to get through my entire SUV since it was very dirty from winter weather and salt. A bit pricey for a self wash but I prefer to do it by hand to avoid damage and/or scratches from the automatic wash. Stall was very clean and overall a good wash. Will visit again. read more

I've been going here since they've opened. Lately I realized I've been going out of force of habit because the service has declined. I use coupons and every time I enter the code it doesn't work. I honk the horn as the sign instructs but when the attendant finally comes over there is always some back and forth as to how it's my fault. I was told that I didn't choose the right wash for the coupon code but I chose no wash because the coupon is the first step. Then I was told that the code expired and when I showed him the coupon still valid he said well these codes don't always work. Last time I was instructed that if I paid for the wash the coupon amount would be deducted but it charged the full amount. Why offer coupons if you can't accept them? read more

I have been a customer for over 3 years and have had no problems until today. I take very good care of my black vehicle and put a spray on ceramic coating on it once or twice a week because I use the car wash so often. Today however when I got home I noticed my hood was VERY scratched up, about 3/4 of the hood had deep scratches in it so deep I cannot wheel out. I took it back to show the guys and they said it was impossible for the car wash to do it and even said "Nothing touches it but foam" even though I pointed out the cloth that touch vehicles. That was strange. I am having my insurance take care of it so they will investigate but the main reason I am posting this is to see if anyone else has run into an issue today 8-10-22. I'm sure if it was them it has been fixed and I will try it again tomorrow (Its already scratched) and I will be taking it to a local painter to examine and quote. I will update with what I find out but in the meantime here is a picture of the hood. If the professionals tell me there is no way it could have been the car wash I will update also. They are so lazy they don't even spray the car down before it goes down the line! Terrible service for the price paid. Don't mind that it doesn't get a towel down at the end but I think they know it'll look like shit when it comes out! Horrible never again and I will not give them a referral again. Lazy workers! My rides are too nice for this.. and yes I do usually hand wash them myself but sometimes I can't! The problem is is that each time I've brought my vehicles in they were deep in snow and not even the car wash could completely clean off the snow at the end of the line. Front windows were still dirty! Taking a little time to take a brush to at least the front and back windows and a quick spray off of the whole car would produce such good results. This isn't a few dollars car wash but I guess when your paying for a machine to talk to you and take your money the costs need to come somewhere. They have 3 lanes of machine wash, &in the back they have self wash. Prices are high for a "car wash", but they also have a month of unlimited car wash for 60bucks. Not sure how I feel about that either. Well, today we decided to do self wash &it wasn't bad. 2dollars to start off, then a quarter for another 2 minutes everytime. Altogether spent 6bucks. Consistency of hours and being open has improved. No more issues. Workers are attentive. The basic membership of $20 a month is higher than other surrounding car washes, but I love the water pressure, amount of soap, and number of wash cycles. New vacuums have strong suction and there is one for both sides of the car. I wish one of the two nozzles was long and thin to get to those narrow spots around the seats. Still not happy with the thoroughness of the blow dryers but it's better than having a person try to dry my car by running a wet and used cloth across the windows and car and then expecting a tip. read more

I went to this car wash for a few years and never had any problems until yesterday. I've taken my past 2 Cadillacs through and never had an issue so I felt comfortable to take my 2 week old brand new ATS coupe through yesterday. As soon as I came out the other end I realized both my front and back passenger side rims were basically destroyed. Deep scratches all the way around. I tried to give them a chance to redeem my business and asked very nicely if they were willing to help pay for the damage, well they were not. Then I was told I must have hit a curb! At that point I was very frustrated and explained to them if I hit a curb, I would not be standing there accusing the car wash of the damage. I also pointed out that a curb would only damage a small portion of the rim, not both tires ALL the WAY AROUND the rim!!! Seeing that I am a customer service manager and spent a lot of money at this wash over the years, I figured they would at least own up to it and offer to pitch in towards having them fixed. I was basically made out to be a lier, which I am not so I politely accepted their carefree customer service and told them fine, I'm not going to argue with them. But I'm also not going to sit back and get screwed when I take a brand new car for a car wash and have my rims destroyed. Not only did they lose my business but they lost everyone I know business as well. Thanks for nothing! The place allows you to spray your car with water. Yay. Both the degreaser and the tire/wheel cleaner were out, which I wasted about a minute of spray time on thinking it would come on after a short delay but it never did. After I gave up with those two cleaning agents I went to the high pressure soap and quickly learned that the spray gun was leaking almost as much water back out of the handle and onto my clothes and shoes as that was coming out of the spray gun end. I was just there to get my car washed and I actually spent the $13 to get all this extra wax and shiny and all that. My car is still extremely dirty I didn't even hardly see the wax the water had smelled like it's been old. I have been going to the futuristic car wash ever since it is open. As far as cleaning the cars it is not the same. When you get to the end it doesn't even drive your car the big brushes at the end barely even touch the car. I still have Soap on my car it didn't even rinse it all off. I am really disappointed, especially for the price that I paid. I also felt like I flew through the car wash which was unusual. I sometimes go to Mr. Cs wash on the east side and I never seem to have this problem. When you pay for that kind of car wash at $13 it shouldn't be a skin wash. I have been going to Futuristic since it's been opened. I was usual satisfied and continued to support them. With a family of 4 we also have 2 monthly passes. This weekend I went through the car wash with a new 2020 Explorer. Two days later I notice my rear wiper assy is broke off and missing. After taking it up to the manager he said that he couldn't find it and it probably wasn't their fault. There is no other way this could've happened. I used to come here fairly often, but it's no longer on my path home from work. I happened to be in Wixom earlier this week, and decided to stop in. I spent $5 in the DIY bays to do a good pre-wash, then opted for the $8 Wheel Deal automatic wash. As soon as water hit my car in the automatic wash, I noticed that it was brown. I get that the water is recycled, but it should be filtered in the process. Here, it was seriously as dark and dirty as if I had just driven through a huge puddle. The wheel package never triggered through the wash, so my wheels looked basically the same coming out as going in. I would have complained, but having had several washes go wrong here before (when they're busy, they pack too many cars in and it seems to confuse the automatic wash), I knew all they'd do is offer me another wash through that filthy water. No, thanks. The following day, I woke up to my car full of dirty brown spots. Yuck. read more

Convenient. Credit cards accepted (no fee for credit cards). I used the vacuums ($1), which had quite a number of bays. Suction was okay. I used the free mat cleaners. The rubber mat was washed and clean when I got it back, but the carpet mats didn't do too much for me. I think they just vibrated the loose dirt off. I used the auto wash and just got a basic wash for $5.00. It did the job. Car was clean. Only complaint is the is nobody to dry the car at the end. It just has to air dry. I did not get a chance to try the DIY bays in the back. read more

Futuristic car wash is the best in this part of Michigan. It offers DIY bays that have everything that you need. The car wash itself has lots of futuriistic products and equipment that they use. They use a lot of soap, and your car really gets super clean. They have this new product called ROBO-FOAM. It's amazing, really soaks your car up front with lots of huge bubbles..Very interesting red and orange lights during the car wash. Rinses off well, also the rain dance product, that is very good for the ice and snow. Blow dryers are pretty good also.
