When we booked the venue we had a very friendly and capable co-ordinator. She left soon after and everything changed. During the next couple of months we were given a new point of contact twice. Communication was not great. We were still confident in our choice of venue at this point, plus we have already paid the deposit and the wedding was coming up soon. Caveat - This is a completely raw space. You have to bring in all of your own furnishings, catering decor. They have some available furniture (which we used) and a large enough kitchen for a caterer to work comfortably. There are two bars, one on 6th floor and a second on the rooftop. (which has a gorgeous view) I don't really want to get into it all here, but we were not pleased. If you are using a wedding planner / decor company that has complete control and that will be on site all day to co-ordinate everything, and you need NOTHING from the venue staff, then go ahead and rent this space. It is beautiful and you will have a memorable event. Otherwise, its not worth the stress.

The only problem was that the elevator was stuck for a while, and it's quite a climb to the sixth floor in heels. Also, the rooftop is only accessible by stairs, which can be a problem for seniors. It got a bit hot with 140 people in attendance, and there aren't really a lot of bathrooms (two bathrooms per gender, two stalls each) considering how many people this place fits. The smaller room doubled as the ceremony room and the dance room during the reception. The big windows give a neat view of the city and was a great backdrop for the wedding.

I gave it a try. I did a search using this company's app that I had installed on my phone and found the nearest location. I drove over there. Trillium is essentially a business tower close to the Markham-Richmond Hill border. I took the elevator up to the third floor and was greeted by two cheerful folks at the desk. I proceeded to show my free membership. One of them gave me a tour and assigned me a small, but comfortable, business office for the day. Nice! You can help yourself to complimentary drinks, which included a fancy machine to make coffee and tea. Naturally, I was also told how to get in and out of the floor, and where the washrooms were. I had a ton of work to do. It was a nice change from working from home, as I did a fair amount back then. My office was quiet to begin with. Closing the door made it practically soundproof. You have plenty of room to spread your laptop and such around. There are hooks for your coat, too. The Regus office closes at 5 pm during weekdays. You can ask for after-hours access, which costs more. Luckily, I didn't need it. I recommend this place if you'd like a change of venue and can afford to pay for a Regus membership. I'm glad that I took advantage for my free yearly membership. (27)

They did not submit a counter offer. They basically just ignored our realtor. Not a good strategy especially since we were the only offer on the listed property in 8 weeks. Our offer was close to asking and was a good starting point. If you are looking to buy or sell your home I recommend using another brokerage, one were agents are willing to work for your money. This realtor was more concerned about his upcoming vacation rather than selling the actual property.
