I try to use local companies in or near me because I feel it is important to support your community. While I was initially pleased with response and the timeliness of completion I was not happy with the aftermath. The roofers did a good job although I am still picking up nails from the yard and driveway along with orange and green disks and pieces of roofing with nails in them. The gutter company did an acceptable job as well but when I discovered a leak and told them about it I was put off over and over with the same line - they will be right there to fix it. They never contacted me to learn where the leak was, if they did come to my property they did without notification and when I was not at home which to me is a big no no. I was told they might have called me but they never left a message. Who answers the phone when it is a number they don't know? Leave a message! I still have the leak and with them too, picking up huge screws from the job. Another disappointment. read more

As a new owner of an old home, I had issues with a leaking problem in the back room of my house. Ian, the VP of the company came the next day, to measure and give verbal estimate, within 2 weeks I was fit in to the schedule and the work was done so beautifully at a very fair price! Future Construction did a nice job on the roof and were the most responsive of the 3 contractors who I asked for estimates. Price was not the cheapest but was close and I am very happy with the work. They found some unexpected rot on the decking but it did not slow down the project and they were done in two days with the yard cleaned up like they were never there. They showed up on time, the crew worked hard and they had g0od communication from the bid to the bill. They also helped us pick the right shingles. Nice people to work with. read more

I recently contracted with this company to have a roof put on my home. They were here promptly to look at what needed to be done and the estimate came several days later. The crew who did the work did a good job. This is the ONLY good experience I had with this company. Their ability to communicate with you while waiting for the job to start, getting anyone to return a call, text or email was next to impossible. I would suggest that if you want to work with someone who puts their customers first, you look elsewhere. I have never had a company with such poor customer service or regard for their customers concerns as Future Construction. We had two really bad winters right in a row and had to call Future Roofing twice to help us with ice dams that developed in our gutters and roof edge at our second home in Michigan. This caused leaking and problems and in 2013 they came out to cut trenches in the ice to allow melted ice to run off the roof and not into the house through the windows and ceiling. We thought the unusually cold and snowy winter was the cause and then the problem happened again this year even though our insurance company inspected the roof and said it was fine, just needed more insulation. Since we don't live there year round - we wanted to solve the problem once and for all so we got a recommendation from Future Roofing. We absolutely thought we would need a new roof and planned to spend lots of cash but their recommendation was so reasonable and he said this will solve the problem for us or they would be back - no charge! They came out to do the work and returned the next time we were in town to settle up and provide us with the invoice and warranty. Every interaction we've had with Future Roofing for the past two years has been so professional and positive - everyone should do business the way they do. I actually hope we never have to call them again but would refer them in a second to anyone with roofing or construction needs. read more

I amended this review & added a second star since they showed up, unexpectedly, this morning to review & measure the project. I have been promised a quote by email within the next two days. I am hopeful... My husband scheduled an appointment with Future Construction to quote a roofing job. He was told that Billy would be here this afternoon to review the project & quote the job. I stayed home all afternoon waiting. It is now 8:25pm and no one has arrived nor did my husband receive a call to cancel or reschedule. If they are too busy to handle the job they should just say so. If the estimator got delayed, reschedule or cancel. Don't just leave potential customers waiting. I now wonder what would happen if a job were scheduled...would they show? read more

We contracted them to install a new roof for us. The quote was fair and they used high quality products, not the cheapest of the cheap. They even put up some facia that had fallen off during a wind storm without any extra charge. They did break my fence but fixed it right away without me having to call them. All in all I would say that it was a good experience. We had four quotes from around the area and they were the 2nd to the cheapest. read more

Contacted the team at Future Construction to have a handicap ramp added to my parents' home. A nice gentleman visited the home the next day taking measurements and pictures with the promise of providing a quote. In the weeks that followed, I called the office multiple times, called the gentlemen's mobile multiple times wrote several emails before speaking with the gent who was overtly annoyed with my persistence and informed me that the ramp would cost approximately $12,000. This was a number so absurd based upon the minimal scale of the project that it was obvious they simply didn't want the work. To be clear, I'm completely fine with a project not making sense to the business or them not having time to undertake the work. I am, however, not ok with needing to contact a company nearly a dozen times for a response, for them to promise to send formal quotes and scope of project details without follow-through or for them to make-up asinine pricing as a coward's method of avoiding a cordial phone call. read more

I had them replace a roof about 7 years ago, they removed an old brick chimney for us too. Job completion timing and quality of workmanship was way above average and, as a Real Estate Broker, I see a lot of good and not so good work and have a lot of comparisons to base this opinion upon. They came back and did some other smaller projects like siding around a new window and installing some drip edge to get water into rather than under a rain gutter. Quality of work was excellent. It is however, difficult to get them to come out for smaller projects because they are so busy all the time. Recently I've experienced what I believe to be indifference from those who answer their phones, not their staff but from their Answering Service: hanging up rather than answering - you may have to call back and be persistent to get them to answer. I also have left messages with this Service and days later had no return call from anyone at Future Construction - makes me wonder if the message is being passed on??? read more
