Formerly known as "Tried and True". Now owned by FUTURA. Same hours, same menu, same coffee, same prices. Looks like the only thing they changed was the sign outside, now reads "Futura". They still have the $9 breakfast sandwich and they still offer a vegan alternative. The coffee is still smooth and delicious. My stomach never hurts, which is especially important while traveling *thumbs up* The service was incredibly slow today. Strange that they only have a single employee to be the cashier, barista, sandwich maker and dishwasher. It took ~6-8 minutes for a drip coffee refill, while a line was formering for new orders, while the employee was making breakfast sandwiches. That doesn't make sense for a weekend morning. read more

From the moment we walked in I knew it was going to be good. It is so well decorated, the atmosphere is excellent. Lots of natural light and space and plenty of seating (at least when we visited on a Friday morning!) The cashier and barista both were friendly and helpful. Okay now the coffee - oh my yum! They have a small but delicious selection of syrups as well as a seasonal menu. I had the honey vanilla lavender latte and it was such a treat, my partner had the cardamom latte and loved it as well. The coffee is smooth and just perfect all the way around, not too sweet, the perfect balance between flavors. For food, they've got gorgeous pastries and a couple of breakfast sandwich options. We got a berry hand pie which was lovely, and a breakfast sandwich (Mary Sue I think it was called) that was delicious and stunning. I also LOVE that they served us our drinks with reusable metal straws. I really appreciate when businesses make efforts to decrease waste. Can't believe it took us so long to discover this place! Coffee is great, decor is great, staff are great, Tried & True is a beautiful coffee shop that exudes joy and comfort with lots of natural sunlight. Seriously, I'm from California and sometimes, it feels like the sun just naturally wants to shine into this place and I'm back where I belong. My medical school student-wife loves doing work here and when I go with her, I instantly get more productive at work. I love meeting my friends here just to chill and talk, the indoor and the outdoor sit down are extremely spacious. They have covid procedures that shows that they really care about their customers. I am not a coffee expert but people I know who are experts LOVE this place. I am not going to recommend a specific item but would like to mention that my wife loves the Iced London Fog Latte. The food and drinks are great. I got a ginger chai iced latte. Best chai I've ever had! The wifi didn't work for me and the worker basically told me that I need to learn how to spell. I wanted to work while my puppy was getting spayed and it would've worked out nicely as I am from out of town. Maybe if the wifi password was a QR code on the tables or something to help in situations like this. I spoke to two different workers about the wifi. I just ended up leaving and taking my business elsewhere. I don't think they care about customers very much. I would really think hard about coming here again. I recently stopped here a couple times and even though I'm not a coffee drinker, this was a super cool place to check out and I'm glad I did! First trip I got a hot chocolate and caramel salted brownie cupcake- all I can say is YUM! No sitting inside right now that I could see, but nice outdoor seating in front and back for social distancing. Second time I went back was to get a couple more of the little cupcakes to share with my fiancé. Each time the staff who waited on me were fast & friendly. Will be back! read more

I should have taken the photo before I left. It is very difficult to take a photo with a broken hand, but I didn't want to take it after I drank half the darn thing... Anyway, I recently discovered Tried and True coffee and I am a huge fan. I don't like very acidic tasting beans and their beans are smoooooth. They also use Holy Kakow syrups for their flavored lattes. I am unsure if the chili cinnamon is house made or not, but I couldn't find it on the Holy Kakow website. Regardless, YUM. Only downside is their soy milk is sweetened (or at least it tastes pretty sweet) and with the syrup the coffee becomes too sweet. I can't do dairy, so unless their other alternative milks are less sweet I can't get the delicious flavor latte. Boo. Service was great! I am apologetically the jerk that accidentally walked in a few minutes before closing. I thought they closed at 6, but it was actually 5. The kind barista still welcomed me and made me the latte that has forever changed my life. I cannot get over the chili cinnamon flavor. So good. They are environmentally conscious and use non plastic straws. I think it is bamboo, but I am not 100% certain. I tried to save it to reuse but they were kind of flimsy. read more

A little pricey, but worth the price. They also serve kamucha on tap and matcha. The food looked tasty, but there were no healthy options, which was disappointing. The space is very limited. The parking lot is really small, and unless you are comfortable at a bar stool, you're probably not going to get a seat. Right now this is THE daytime spot in Corvallis. A coffee shop with good pastries and chocolate cookies that taste like brownies, good service, beer/wine options (!!!) and a very nice ambiance both inside and outside. I can't heap enough good words on this business. Not only is the coffee always good, but the baristas know their product and taste profile and help me choose which flavor set I'll love. Their ambiance is spot-on, and the curated decoration touches are both cozy and modern. Once, I was sitting outside and I heard the owner talking with a local college student about engaging with and supporting them on a very cool entrepreneurial charity project. This is a company which puts its money where its mouth is and supports the local community in a multitude of ways including food drives. The drive to make this place feel welcoming and supportive of their customers is both evident in their staff and top-down from management. They also host cool specialty nights including tastings, crafts, movie nights, and other happenings. I wish there was slightly more parking in the SouthTown location, but honestly, the fact that the lot is often nearly full is a testament to how good of a spot it is. read more

It looks like it used to be an old garage with two big garage doors that slides open up to an outdoor seating area. I got a iced matcha green tea latte, it was pretty good. Not too sweet. My husband just got a cappuccino and that was also very good. It has like a slight sweet taste to the coffee. Nothing crazy though. I went to Tried and True on the recommendation of a friend while I was in town. It was easy to find and when we pulled up the outside was super cute. When we walked in the staff greeted us and they were really friendly. I was with 2 friends, one is vegan, one is gluten intolerant, and I am dairy intolerant (silly, I know). But, it's usually hard for us to find places where of us are happy with the selection. But we were all able to get a coffee and baked treat! Great coffee, great service, and very stylish atmosphere. I substituted with soy milk which generally makes drinks too sweet. This flavorful chai drink was slightly sweet, which makes this chai the best soy-based drink I've ever had!
