I have been going to Fusion Spa for years. The owner Jen has been creating special treatments for me that keep my skin young and healthy. Jen will look at your skin, ask you what your biggest concern is and create a spa service for you that addresses those concerns. You don't have to pick just one type of service.. you get a little of each depending on what you need or want! I also have been using her products for years too and just love them. They work and are not too expensive! If I see something I might like on an advertisement I ask her about it and she gives me the equivalent that is good for my skin situation. I was looking for a new massage place on Groupon and came across Fusion. Their regular prices are cheaper to their competitors but they're still pricey for me. I paid through Groupon and got a 60 minute massage for $50 (original is $80). The tax and gratuity has to be paid at the spa in cash though, so go prepared with cash. I called ahead to make an appointment and mentioned my Groupon. The spa is right off of Rt 46 West in Denville, right before the restaurant, Sogo. The place has a hair salon downstairs and massage rooms upstairs. My masseuse was Ingrid and she was accommodating to my needs and very nice! She gave me a lot of time to undress and I ended up having to call to her to say I'm ready because I was afraid it would cut into my massage but it didn't, I still got my full hour. My massage was great and very relaxing! Ingrid really focused on my problem areas and did well! Unfortunately, the Groupon is only for first time customers which is understandable. I went for a facial with extractions, very poor procedure, I've had many facials before and never had one so bad, I basically paid 65 to moisturize my skin, I had like 60 blackheads on my face and she took out like 5. Other annoying thing all the time you see signs asking for tip, I don't mind tipping well for a great service but if you expect me to give you "at least 20 dollars" (that's what they say) for this horrible service then you not getting it from me... 2 stars because yes they are friendly and nice to you but I ain't buying smiles read more

My apologoies to previous review writer, but something must have happened after January because I was THOROUGLY frustrated with this place. My first experience was for a 30 minute massage. The massage was ok, but seriously overpriced. $85 for a half hour massage? Didn't these people do a business plan? I've received better massages from other spas in the area for $65. Next was a haircut and style. Yes, my hair is long, but there is a head attached to it! The stylist was yanking me around like I was a dog in a pet shop! I just went for a trim, there's not too much to mess up with that. But when I put my hair in a braid, there were LONG discrepencies in the cut! It's a TRIM, for God's sake! Add the attitude of the staff and receptionist, and I felt like I had to match the attitude just to make an appointment! I've waited a few weeks to make this review, but felt five stars was completely fictional and needed to balance the scales. read more

STAY AWAY this place has no regard for the guest. I had an appointment at 11 am, they called me to change my appointment to 10 am. I show up on time,and they tell me my appointment is back to 11 am. They made a mistake and treated me like crap. I got a Groupon in search of a new cosmetologist and I found her. If you ever try to find anybody new - hairstylist, cosmetologist, masseuse you should get a Groupon. Costumers with Groupons normally are treated as a cheap people who are in search of a deal or in getting something for nothing. I get Groupons so I can check their costumer service. So if they tread you as a normal human-being with the Groupon then they deserve you as a client afterwards. So going back to Fusion Spa. I love Brittany. Young, professional, personable. Didn't try to sell me on anything but when I asked her about the products they carry, she knew what she was talking about. I will be her client for very long time. I have been going to Fusion Spa for two years now for facials and would definitely recommend this place. Dana does my facials and she is amazing. She knows what she is talking about and is very sweet. Since going to her, my skin has changed dramatically for the better. All of the people I have come into contact there are nice. My boyfriend recently received an intense massage there and he was very pleased. I got a Groupon deal for three massages. I schedule the first appointment and the massage therapist does not show up. After being contacted she says she is sick and can't make it in. Ok, understandable, but she could have called in to let her clients know. I make another appointment two weeks later and as I am driving to my appointment they call and say she is running late and want to move my appointment 1 1/2 hours later than scheduled. I can't, I already have other plans for the day. Needless to say, they won't ever get my business. I just hope they will refund my money from Groupon. read more

Small local business with a friendly staff and the owner is helpful. I came here for a series of chemical peels. Not sure if it made my skin better or worse, because I did breakout a lot after the peels, but after 3 months my face stopped breaking out all together. Really friendly owner and staff. My friend and I came here for a "Spa Day" it was her Birthday/Christmas gift. We had previously been here before, I would say over 5 years ago. They were completely damaged from Hurricane Irene, but have since rebuilt. They did have a pretty good Groupon deal $95 for a massage and facial, when I called to book the appointment - they were able to honor the same price without having to buy the Groupon and not having to charge tax. No problems scheduling appointments, they called to confirm a couple of days ahead - and did honor the Groupon price. I would not say it's a fancy spa, apparently it's a converted car dealership, but for the price that was just fine. The massage therapist was great as was the aesthetician, no complaints. They do try and hit you up for a couple of up-sells during the treatment $9 for hot stone (I definitely went for that) and $20 for microdermabrasion or chemical peel ( I declined those) The things that were not a game changer for me, but I did notice were that the rooms were not truly spa rooms - likely converted offices they used curtains for privacy. No dedicated changing area - you had to bring all your stuff from room to room. It just didn't have that spa-like feel to it. Again, it wouldn't prohibit me from returning, I think I would only get one treatment done instead of having to bring all my stuff around. Overall not a high end fancy spa, but the services were good, all the staff was very friendly and warm and really competitive pricing. Worth a trip back! read more

I think most people have been booking appointments here lately is because they have offered a Groupon deal. My husband bought me a three facial package for my birthday and I was able to schedule all three past the expiration date (plus!). Each was performed a month apart and at each session I was recommended to receive the microdermabrasion treatment. I'd say for the groupon price, the facial "I guess" was worth it. However, for what they actually supposedly charge for the same facial ($125), it would definitely not be worth it. I'm guessing they were doing less services for the groupon deals, but the coupon says the facial was equivalent to their full priced services. Also, what I found was odd was that my make up wasn't removed during the process. I was only able to attend the appointments after work so I didn't have time to go home to wash my face before hand. Either way...it's a facial right?! at the end of each session I was left raccoon eyed because they didn't thoroughly clean my face. I also felt the treatments were not applied or completely evenly, as she concentrated most of the scrubbing and massaging on my cheeks (scrubbed raw) and neglected my problematic areas (T-Zone). No extractions were completed either. The women at the spa seem nice, but the services unfortunately are not up to par to other spas in the area. In the end, if you want a great spa experience I'd recommend Urban Muse. read more

The poor reviews for a facial are true. Like others I found the woman doing the facial was really good except she talked the entire time. Also when I've had facials in the past and had extraction done steam is always used. Not at this place. Regarding another view from a Groupon customer, I too was overcharged on the tax. I called them on it and I was reimbursed. The tax should be on what you pay not what the original price is. No different than buying something on sale at a retail store. You get charged based on the sale price. Plus the tax is in cash only. Who really knows what they do with it. read more

I purchased a Living Social voucher I needed to use. It was for a mini spa day, microdermabrasion, peel, eye treatment & 30 min. massage. The facial with Jennifer (owner) was the BEST I've gotten in a really long time. My face felt refreshed and looked glowing after the treatment. She was very detailed, asked lots of questions to ensure I was not allergic to anything and to help with any skin problems I had. The facial did not leave me oily and greasing like others I've had in the past. The massage was ok but not at the fault of the masseuse. I'm not a big fan of massages but since it was part of the package, I opted to get one. I recommend this place. I will frequent this place again soon. Even without a LS voucher! read more

Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is my masseuse was very sweet and an ok masseuse. My sister and I went here with the expectation of getting a head to toe experience which included a full massage as stated in a Groupon. Although I got a massage, and everything that was expected, my sister did not! They did a facial and massaged her arms and feet. When we asked why, they response was " it just matters who you get and we only have 1 masseuse on staff"??? I'm not sure that's the correct response to tell a customer..Thr staff is more concerned with expressing the importance of leaving a tip and obtaining a service fee from using a Groupon (which is extremely awkward and unprofessional) rather then addressing their customer concerns about the service. Of course we would tip( which we did even though we did get the service expected) We will not be coming back nor would I recommend this facility. I bought a Groupon for a facial here. While I was happy with the facial and the aesthetician, I think that it was unethical for them to charge us tax on the vaued amount of the service and not the actual amount that we paid. The groupon was $59 and when we were leaving they said that we each owed another $8.75 each for tax. We said that didn't make any sense and that we had never been charged tax by any place where we've used groupon before. Not to mention that they were collecting tax on a perceived value ($125.) Not the amount we actually paid! The girl just shrugged her shoulders and said groupon required them to collect this tax. We called groupon and they said they had nothing to do with them asking for tax. Now we certainly tip on the full value, that makes sense but can you imagine buying something on sale but being taxed for the original price? Something tells me the state of NJ won't actually be seeing that money.. read more

Very disappointed. The spa needs a total interior make over. Dark, ugly. In the massage room, the floor was peeling, metal table corroding, a mirror was on the wall at the height of about 7 feet. Body creams were cold, so jolted the relaxation of the massage. I would not recommend this place. read more

I've definitely have experienced a better facial than here. I heard many compliments about this place and decided to give it a try. It could have been my esthetician, it felt more like a neck, shoulder, and hands massage more than a facial massage. Their protocol for a facial is average. I got a microderm facial and it felt rushed. In all honesty, I could have give myself a facial, all I got was a good exfoliation by someone else. In my previous experience, my face literally glow right after and I did not get any extra special treatment. Overall, definitely not for an over price average facial, won't be coming back for sure. read more
