Overall (A) This place is really good and my experience does not match the negative reviews at all. I'm going here everytime I'm in Toledo and might go back again today Food (A) Made a make your own sushi bowl with salmon and tuna. Added avocado, crab salad and mango in addition to non up charge items and brown rice. It was so good and a great meal. They measure about the protein - it is probably 4oz but not sure. All the ingredients were really good and tasted fresh. Service (A+) The girl making my bowl did an excellent job educating me on the options, making my bowl and providing a high level of service. Extremely well trained. Value (A) I got numerous premium options and it came out to be $20 and was well worth it. Felt full, healthy and enjoyed my meal. Like I felt like it was $20 well spent. Try this place out m, don't believe the negative reviews and give them a chance. If they were near a corporate office park or major university would probably have a line out the door read more

I was excited about trying this place. It's like a Subway sandwich place for sushi. You can create your own rolls or order whatever you want from the menu. I ordered shrimp tempura sticks as appetizers and two rolls. A California roll and a salmon roll. My eyes were bigger than my stomach OR the rolls were bigger than normal. Either way, I almost couldn't finish both rolls. And.... I was okay with that. They were okay, but not as tasty as I had built them up to be in my mind. For one, the wasabi that wrapped the rolls was chewy. I wasn't expecting that and kinda didn't like it. The flavors weren't really my thing either. I can't really put my finger on it. I love sushi, but this was rice wrapped fish. Not really sushi. I like the concept though. If I was in the area again I'd probably try one of their bowls. read more

First off the staff was very welcoming as soon as we stepped in. Super friendly and helpful with it being our first time there. The hubby and I absolutely love eating sushi and was very impressed with the freshness of all the ingredients we ordered. It was nice being able to see what was going into our food and loved that we could customize it to our liking. We will definitely be returning the next time we're in the area. read more

I was looking for a quick and easy, healthy bite. I ended up ordering here for takeout. I built my own bowl and also they had a Bogo special on spicy tuna rolls so I decided to get that. The bowl itself was okay. I thought it was interesting it was premixed as opposed to having all the items I added on top. The spicy tuna roll that was supposed to be Bogo literally had almost no tuna in it. It was mainly just rice. Overall it was okay, likely wouldn't go back. read more

I had the standard tofu roll, and it was delicious. I have been going here occasionally since its opening in 2017. The service is always fast and friendly. The atmosphere is modern and bright. They have so many great options for vegans like myself and non-vegans alike. read more

Great Vegan options! I get a build your own sushi roll on seaweed with white rice. Kale is my protein. I add carrots, edamame, cucumber, and avocado. Yum! read more

As many times as I have eaten here, you'd think I would have tons of photos. Sadly I do not. However, let me tell you, every time I'm in Toledo this is one of the places I make it my business to stop at. It has a fast foodish good for you feel. The service is friendly and typical pace for waiting in line while they prepare it in front of you. The good news is you can see that it's fresh. And it's tastes amazing. I typically get mine to go, especially now that it's cold outside. There is seating inside, I'm not a fan of close proximity seating. The food though is great for what you get. read more

I really love the food at Fusian. It's pricey in the land of grocery store sushi, sure, but it's better. It tastes better, it feels better, it's honest to goodness fresh sushi, and that's to be celebrated by devouring it and rolling your swollen fish filled body out the door. Their tuna poke is perfect, truly, no notes. The tuna is fresh, the red onion, avocado and cucumber are peak fresh, and the sauce is so sweet and delicious. It's the perfect bowl of flavor. I get a Cali roll on the size because again, I love good crab and sweet sauces, and this roll is great. My kids enjoyed the shrimp tempura, and the chili dipping sauce was really delicious. The carrot and cucumber salad is standard Japanese house salad fare, but still a tasty addition. read more

I always get the California roll and it always comes out delicious. They add avocado which is unique. And the spicy Mayo is always spot on.

They're good. Food tastes great, but each time it's always different. It's still worth trying.

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while! Located in the shopping plaza with Whole Foods and OrangeTheory, there is plenty of parking. They have plenty of outdoor seating! The inside is very modern looking and brightly lit. I ended up doing a create your own bowl! They had a vegetarian option of doing tofu, which was pretty good. They have plenty of fresh veggies to choose from for your toppings. You also have a choice of different types of sauces. I also got the miso soup which had pieces of tofu in it. It was slightly salty to my taste but still pretty good. For the price, you get a lot of food. I was able to make two meals out of it. They also have a variety of drink options including the gingerade which is my personal favorite. I will definitely be coming back! read more

As much as I try to like FUSIAN, and believe me I've tried, every time I leave disappointed. The quality, quantity and even how the food is made is different each time I've visited. Sometimes everything is mixed together and sometimes things are just piled up on top of each other. Often whatever dressing I've chosen will completely overpower the rest of the ingredients, and regardless of what I get I always feel overcharged for the quantity. read more

FUSIAN - What a mess! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Toledo, Ohio

First off, the menu is very unclear. I ordered a 2 custom salmon bowl and almost every topping costed extra making the total to be ~$45. The server only told me mango was extra. For poke, they didn't carry a lot of typical toppings you'd usually see. Also the sauces were very bland and not suitable for Asian taste buds. The portion is pretty big, but still not worth it IMO. Final verdict: don't spend your money here. I recommend Rice Blvd or R&B Bubble Tea instead. read more

Rolls too loose and fall apart, "krab salad" in the California roll doesn't even have Mayo in it. Just plain raw fake crab. Rice is dry and is of the brown type. The fish itself was decent. But everything else was a mess. No soy sauce in the delivery either. Edit: my mistake. Krab rolls don't come with Mayo anywhere. That part was fine. read more

I recently took my daughter shopping for a HOCO dress and we stopped here for lunch after. I did not like the vibe or ambiance of the restaurant at all. It was kind of set up like a lunch line or like a Subway, where they build your sushi rolls right in front of you. They seemed unsure, the ingredients didn't seem fresh. The rolls were not rolled tight and they were sloppy looking. And when I paid with cash the guy at the register yelled at the top of his lungs, "I GOT CASH HERE!" It was not only jarring but made me feel like I was wrong for paying in cash. The lavender lemonade was gross. The asparagus was not fresh, there was something chewy in my California roll that turned me off from eating the rest of the roll after that particular bite. Later that night I had a hell of a stomach ache and some other unsavory digestive issues. My daughter's stepmom was with us and even though we were clearly there as a group and I got my rolls and my daughters to dine-in, they decided to put her stepmom's order in a to-go box. Then they took it out of the to-go box and all her rolls kind of fell apart. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

A while back I stumbled across this place by accident while looking for something to eat online. Generally I lean towards places with a larger sushi selection, but I decided to try this place nonetheless. And I'm glad I did! The food is always very fresh and you feel good eating it. I also love the option of customizing your own roll. It's nice to experiment as they have a ton of options. I have been very pleased with every item I've ordered so far. Great ramen for a fast food type of restaurant. Cool atmosphere and the options for sushi and bowls looks great and will return for that!

I ordered on DoorDash hoping for a healthier option for dinner , I got the salmon poke bowl because my friend had just ordered it from DoorDash at work the day before and it looked delicious ( this was my first time trying fusian and it was NOT a good experience) I also got the kids bento box although it is for children I felt that was the best option to try a few things since it was my first time trying this place . The kids bento box was supposed to have a cucumber salad , 2 potstickers and a tuna sushi roll. When it arrived the box looked pretty much empty and there was no cucumber salad. My salmon poke bowl did not have the soy-sesame sauce in it it was supposed to have so it was super bland and I had to settle for the soy sauce packets they gave. There was also brown pieces of salmon I picked out , browned avocado & all my salmon was cut except one big piece which was strange. I called the restaurant to let them know my cucumber salad was missing and asked if they knew who made it to make sure it wasn't the doordasher who took it. To which the girl replied I don't know who made it and all of my employees are gone for the night kind of dismissing me and didn't seem to concerned, told me to call DoorDash and get a refund and that they , I quote "probably forgot it" . Called DoorDash and got a refund for that item to which I should have called and got a refund for it all because later tonight I got really bad food poisoning and got sick a few times and that's the only meal I ate today because I was busy throughout the day. Long story short terrible first experience, doesn't seem like they care about their customers/ customer service or the food they're putting out & I will not be spending money here ever again. Makes me really sad because I'm a major foody and I have worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years , was hoping to find a new place I loved. Edit: I also just remembered I put that I wanted spicy mayo as the sauce for the bento box and I never got that either. (When you online order it makes you pick atleast one sauce for the box) I can also see from all the bad reviews that many other people have gotten sick from this restaurant and I will be calling the health department to make a report. read more

Great tasting food and good amount of food too. I got the bowl. Even though it's pricey, and the process could be better explained by the staff, still turns out good if you know what you want. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner. It's very clean in here, which is a big thing for me with poke/quick sushi places. The food is well priced and was pretty good. I like the concept. Portion control on the proteins is hit or miss. I would recommend the cooked salmon.

This business refuses to honor gift cards in the app. Even with an active Covid infection they require customers to come inside to use a gift card to purchase. Curbside is also not an option, thus also requiring active covid infected persons to pickup an order. The business has a poster reflecting the mask mandate from ODH. However they are blatantly in violation of that mandate. They argue that they are not following that mandate even though it is a poster on their door. The place has gone downhill fast. I used to love it. Now I can't get service or use my gift cards. I have a photo showing some of the filth inside. I'll try to upload those from my phone. I did try to convert try gift cards to credit as you had told me could be done. It could not be done in person or online. Even after a manager tried & then she called an owner who provided instructions that did not work. I then called. No one is able to take care of it. Why have an app of you cannot use it if paying with a credit card. If you aren't sowing in person pickup then get your curbside delivery up to speed. What are you waiting for? read more

My fav restaurant. My tip is to order a bowl and ask them to mix it up. It's not nearly as good unmixed. My order is the salmon crunch roll as a bowl extra wasabi mayo mixed. Highly recommend. They have good lemonades too. The ambiance is good. It's nice to sit outside in the warmer months. read more

Ordered poke bowl & seaweed salad. I realize that it's in the middle of the country, but there was no freshness at all in the fish. I enjoyed our visit here. The interior is bright and refreshing. The selection offers many combinations. We ordered the vegan, Philadelphia, and crunchy shrimp. It was fun to watch them quickly put things together. You're able to add to the rolls as well as well as chose between white or brown rice. The staff was friendly and patient. Also...some may know what this means...they have "the good ice". read more

As my previous review mentioned, I enjoy getting sushi here but often I am left disappointed with something like half a bowl being empty or terrible quality of some ingredients. I went to retry fusian after skipping for a while and was left disappointed yet again. Someone needs to be checking the rice before they serve it. Got home today and can barely eat my roll. Far too many times have I gotten home and take a bite of a roll/bowl and the rice is HARD. It has happened again. It is disgusting. I have left sushi in the fridge for a day and the rice doesn't get as hard as this rice is right now. It's either stale leftovers from the day before or it's been sitting out. It is terrible someone is not checking the quality of the ingredients. Another waste of 15 dollars. This will probably be the last time I will be going. read more

I got the tuna kale bowl. It was fresh and healthy but not out of this world. The staff were friendly and recommended the lavender tea which was yummy. The ambience was clean and tidy and it had a nice open table vibe. If you want clean eating and a nice place to sit this place would work for you. But as far as the food, it's pretty standard and a little on the bland side. read more

I went here the other day and ordered the gyoza and a sushi bowl. The gyoza was lukewarm and the edges were very crispy and hard like it had been sitting out a few hours. It was dry and cracked. I then made my own bowl and the protein is where I feel l was cheated. It's like 10 dollars for protein and they give you a very meager scoop. Then it's 3 dollars for extra. This lady looked me in the eyes and added the smallest scoop and then said it would be extra. She then asked if I wanted avocado which I said yes it was an up charge she scraped out maybe an eighth of an avocado that was black and brown into my bowl. I have been to this place a few times and have enjoyed it. I just feel like they were instructed to put as little ingredients as they can get away. I'm surprised as a human they didn't think "what would I want" when preparing this bowl. Artificial crab is 4 dollars for a whole package. Avocados cost a dollar. read more

Probably one of my favorite places for quick eats. Their menu is clear, easy to read. They also have a separate portion that helps with any allergies or intolerances you may have. Items are also really easy to sub out or remove altogether. While their menu is totally different than their old menu when they opened, you can still make your own roll if you remember old combinations they had, or that you liked. Their drink selection is also great, and offers good choices beyond soft drinks. Their lemonades and teas are tasty and fresh and my favorite? The ginger lemonade. The place is clean, and the employees are nice and helpful. Never had a bad experience and look forward to spending my money here when i want sushi that's reasonable and fresh. read more

What?! There's a poke place in Toledo?!?! So this place decided to open a few months before I move back home to SoCal. Everything was fresh and healthy. Clean environment with nice staff.
