I decided to test Fuse out with the 2 for $25 mat deal, because I am a pilates newb, and apparently they are the best in the area. Now I can see why. Atmosphere: The office is modern, clean, bright, and has a very nice waiting area. The mat studio is the perfect size for the instructor to see and interact with all students during class. Instructors and staff: Desk staff was friendly and helpful on both occasions (two different individuals that I met). Instructors Clare and Rachel were fantastic. Super friendly, very fit, and moved the class along at a great pace. The class: I will likely need to come back and update since I only took Fuse Pilates. Both classes were executed at a good pace, they burned in all the right areas, and there was a lot of sweat involved. I left both classes feeling AWESOME. I had the shakes after Clare's class (which for me is a good thing) and Rachel's class gave me an intense amount of energy today. I shall be back whether with a membership or Class Pass. We'll see!

I've trained with several different Pilates professionals all over the DMV area and Mariska is by far the best.

OVERALL: good workout but it's more like stretch Pilates…read more PROS: - small studio with I believe only 7 reformers = lots of individualized attention - if you're new to Pilates the individualized attention is great and adds to a safe and welcoming environment - clean - friendly staff - socks on pilates (they sell sticky socks) - great 3 class for $79(?) promo CONS - fills up quickly bc there are only 7 reformers - it's not as hard as solidcore. I did both beginner classes here and solidcore and found that while I got a little burn/soreness the day after, District Pilates felt more like a stretch Pilates class. Solidcore was harder and I really felt I was working my entire body - wish they had followed up after my 3 day promo was up Overall a good starting point and would recommend for starting out.

I love District Pilates and had been regularly a few years ago. I recently visited again with a…read morefriend as a birthday gift and honestly it's just getting better. There are 7 reformers (yay small classes) with a chair and a ton of props to use throughout the workout. I've been to a few of the instructors and liked them all. The workout is challenging and you can really feel your legs, arms, glutes working in each posture. The studio has lovely and colorful art work and small seating area at the front. If you are looking for a good reformer workout I highly recommend this studio. Location: Conveniently located in Logan circle with plenty of street parking and many restaurants nearby to try after your class.

This has been my go-to workout since moving back to DC. I lived in West Hollywood for over a decade…read moreand started doing Lagree after a terrible knee injury. I was a longtime runner, Barry's Bootcamp, and Cross Fit enthusiast -- all of which destroyed by body and left me injured more than in shape. Lagree Pilates and Solidcore are a full body workout and exactly what I needed. There is zero impact on the joints and each movement is slow and in control. You also majorly get the heartbeat pounding and I find myself a sweaty mess like I did in those other fitness routines. Solidcore's approach isn't always my favorite (the trademark language and constant soundtrack of the instructors). If I had to pick, I prefer Lagree's approach more but hey, I'm just grateful to have this workout in DC.

I have been going to solidcore for years, and it's a great workout. But as many have said, it has…read moresome really bad policies that come with it that don't have the client in mind AT ALL. so I am going to leave it and hope others consider the same: 1. Expiration policy on classes is VERY short - this means that if you get a VERY EXPENSIVE classpack but say get sick or have to travel, there's zero flexibility to get an extension. Pretty tone deaf given we just went through years of a pandemic. 2. There is NO HUMAN to be found to help with any questions on classes/memberships, you just email some general account and someone with no name sends you boiler plate marketing. 3. VERY EXPENSIVE It all just leaves a very unpleasant taste in your mouth and there are too many other fitness options where you are treated like a human and where you can get a great workout.

Always a fantastic workout - absolutely a great option when you are in Bethesda! Highly recommendread more

I've been obsessed with the megaformer workout these past few months and I've found it…read moretransformative for my core and tendencies towards injuries. I normally go to slt in NYC (which is phenomenal) but have been very curious about sculpt. I went this am and while one class is hardly the means for a rating, I found the studio meh as far as megaformer workouts. Don't get me wrong. This workout is difficult and not geared towards beginnings. The straps, balancing and movements cause one to need a few times to get the gist of it. Add on to the general difficulty! So why 3 stars for sculpt. Playlist and drill sergeant like instruction made the class not fun. She counted 20-19-18.... more repeatedly. Grrrr. I found myself repeated looking at the clock which is something I rarely do. In addition, music was circa 1980s and definitely a feed issue to the stereo because there was a scratchy sound for parts of the class. Moves and corrections were generally very good, however. As I've mentioned with other specialty classes it's the instructor that makes all the difference. I'm super spoiled I live in NYC and fortunately a couple of my favorite folks are not only at the tops in their field, some have even developed cult status (so says allure magazine). Best practices equal always a fresh playlist (I've never heard the same list twice for my favorites), good choreography, energy and corrections. So for $35 a class, I'd hope that I get just that. Otherwise I could go to the free classes at my gym. I think solid core which I rate 4.5 stars is better on instruction and energy, music also could be improved. 3 stars bc any megaformer class is a minimum of ok, but the extra factor is instruction and music.
