Prior to finding Superdogs we had tried three other dog care facilities and each were sub par. We then tried at home pet care but this left our dog alone most of the day. Out of necessity we decided to give Superdogs a go and it turned out to be a great decision. In the previous daycares our dog would put the breaks on and it would take two people to drag him in. With Superdogs he couldn't get through the door fast enough! He suffered from hip dysplasia and the staff were always very attentive to this issue, and made sure he didn't overexert himself. Without me even asking they had a corner set up with additional foam floor cushioning to support his heavy bones. Over the years they have continually gone the extra mile. When I was pregnant they helped me get my dog out of my car whenever they spotted me pull up, if I forgot dogs treats or food they would have it covered or if they noticed my dogs nails were a tad bit too long they would trim them without a thought. Judy the owner e-mailed me a month or so ago asking how Walter was doing as she hadn't seen him in while. We hadn't brought him to Superdogs as he was having issues standing due to advanced age. Judy offered some great advice and It showed me that it is not just a business to them. They just love what they do and care about their clients. Thank you Niamh Campbell

At her previous daycare, everyone loved her and always commented on what a sweet dog she was. Her veterinarian's office has always spoken highly of her as well. We only made the switch because the location was more convenient. Looking back, we should have trusted our instincts. As soon as we arrived, she didn't want to go inside. I actually had to carry her through the door, which is completely out of character for her. When we picked her up, instead of speaking with us privately, a staff member criticized our dog at length in front of other customers. We were told she had to be continually reprimanded, kept on a leash, and eventually spent most of the day alone in a crate. This was shocking to hear, especially since we have never received feedback like this from her previous daycare or her veterinary team. When I tried to explain that this had never happened before and that everyone who has cared for her has always described her as a sweet dog, I was interrupted with, "Will you let me finish?" before the criticism continued. The entire conversation felt condescending and took place in front of other customers, which was embarrassing and unnecessary. Whether or not our dog was a good fit for this daycare, the way we were treated was unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy and compassion. We were also disappointed to be told that, after being kept on a leash, she ultimately spent most of the day alone in a crate. That was certainly not what we expected when we paid for a full day of daycare. We understand that difficult conversations sometimes need to happen, but they should be handled respectfully and privately. I hope they reconsider how they communicate with pet owners in the future because no one should leave feeling embarrassed the way we did.

It made a huge difference and I had the greatest respect for Jess. Unfortunately, the last time I brought my Newfoundland the owner, Mary, massively shamed me. My dog went through surgery when he was two, that they were well aware of since they were taking care of him before and after. The surgery was a success, but my Newfie suffers from the shakes when he gets nervous or does something he doesn't like. We bring him to the vet yearly and they monitor his hips and have said he's fine, but he has anxiety when he's brushed by his back legs. Jess is well aware that the shakes are simply his way to con people into not doing what he doesn't want to, he's a master manipulator. We did recently bring him to a new vet and we were going to try anxiety meds for him at his next visit. The last time we brought him we did explain that he had a couple of mats and to over charge us if they had a more difficult time grooming him. When I called later to pick him up no one answered, I tried several times. I was a little concerned as it was after 4 and they didn't typically take that long. So I drove there and they were just finishing. Mary came out hot, shaming me for his mats and for how bad he shakes and made me feel just awful. She is well aware the shakes are neurological and she made me feel like a horrible dog owner yelling about how bad he shakes. She yelled that I need to start bringing him in every 6 weeks or more, which I simple cannot afford at over $120 a visit. I still gave her a generous tip and cried on the way home. We try to bring him in 4 times a year, especially in the spring for a deeper trim before he starts swimming. Even though I was ashamed and embarrassed I trusted these guys with my Dexter so I called in May to make an appointment and left a message. I tried again a few weeks later, left a message. Again I tried and left a message with her husband to call back, no response. My husband tried to call and the lovely Jess answered, but she had to check with Mary on a time, no call back. I left another message a day later asking if they were stopping us as clients and to please let us know as it's been two months of me trying to make an appointment and Dexter is in desperate need at this point, no forking call back. At this point I'm so incredibly disappointed with this company. 6 years Dexter went to them and with his trust issues it's going to be very difficult to find another groomer, let alone someone that can support his giant weight. I just thought after years of dedication they would at least have the decency to let us no they no longer wish to see our dog so we could have made arrangements sooner for another visit. I was stupidly loyal even after Mary treated me so poorly. The crazy things is, Jess stated multiple times in the past that we do the best with our Newfie to keep him groomed between appointments, better than the other owners so this last appointment and the vigorous shaming by Mary was completely unexpected. Wish Jess the best, but I have zero respect for the owner Mary. You don't do this to loyal customers.

Our furbaby, Oni, has been going to A Precious Pet Resort (APPR) since he was 9 1/2 weeks old. Our…read morepup is a cautious boy and was unsure of the staff at first, but we introduced him to Mary and her team a few times prior to dropping him off for 5-days a week doggie daycare. Our pup is now 5 1/2 years old and LOVES going to APPR. Although we now live 30 minutes away, we still take him to APPR whenever we need someone to care for him if we are going to be away for a few hours or a week. We attempted a different place when I changed jobs a few years ago to save on my commute for daycare drop off, but our pup did not adjust to this new place well. He was scared and did not respond well to the pet caregivers. We were told he hid in a corner most of the days and didn't play with the other dogs and was scared whenever a group of dogs approached him. The new place operated under a "dog park" mentality and all the dogs were grouped together during the day-our pup was telling them and us he didn't like that style. The new place had all the bells and whistles of fancy live feed cameras, indoor playground and outdoor playground, but our dog didn't care about that and didn't care to remain at the new place. Our dog responds very well to positive reinforcement, how he is being treated and how he is being taken care of and our pup is happiest when in small groups or 1:1 playtime. APPR offers this type of service for him. APPR is a family-owned business so they do not have all the bells and whistles like some other surrounding or larger places within a 20-30 mile radius, but they care for, individualized care, and are attentive to the pets they service. When our pup is boarded, we provide plenty of treats, food and toppers along with his blanket and dog bed to provide a more 'comfort of home' feel for him. We know how much he eats and what he likes and APPR honors our feeding plan and gives the measurements, food, toppers and treats that we request. We have a wonderful relationship and 2-way communication with APPR. If we request grooming and/or bathing as a part of his stay, we ask for this at a minimal extra charge. Oni has experienced both daily daycare and boarding services and he and we are happy with their service. When my husband and I travel, we know that our pup is in good hands with Mary and her team. Thank you all for taking such good care of our furbaby. My husband and I do and continue to recommend A Precious Pet Resort for daycare or boarding. A picture of his first day at APPR!

We've been clients of Country Club Kennels for the past five years…read more We've always had real difficulty boarding our two dogs. We've boarded in three different states in multiple facilities, and each time its just full of trauma, and if our dogs could report us to an abuse agency they would do just that. When arrive at Country Club both of my pets are eager to go inside. They are greeted like family members, and they immediately run to the back of the facility so they can go to the outdoor area. We've also done grooming too, and our dogs look great and they are not freaked out. We use Country Club for boarding at least four times a year. If we didn't have them we would have a very difficult time going anywhere without our dogs. Finding Country Club has been a huge difference for us.

Our 2 french bulldogs love hanging out country club kennels with Steve and his staff. They are able to board together, in the same run. We board them a couple times a year even for extended times (2 weeks). I am also very happy with their grooming services, the dogs returned clean, with their nails trimmed and happy.

She was happy to be there when we walked in and a dream when I got her home. I know her first time must have been scary for her but they took such good care of her! She didn't hide on me at home like the last time I took her in to get her nails done. It felt like I took her to her first day of school and she got off the bus happy! Thanks team! I recently adopted a rescue, Teddy that was in desperate need of grooming, as he was filthy and…read morematted. Our regular groomer, Nancy was unable to fit him in, so she suggested Hair of The Dog. I was thrilled when Melissa called to say they had a cancellation and could fit him in. I was so impressed with everyone! The staff was professional and truly cared about the pets they were caring for. Teddy immediately relaxed and settled in. I was shocked when I went back to pick him up! He looked like a new dog! He smelled wonderful, the matted hair was gone and he had a new zip in his step. I can't say enough about this business ! They are truly exceptional! We've been looking for a great consistent groomer for our Golden Retriever for awhile now and are…read moreso happy that we found Hair of The Dog! They do amazing work and are so good with the dogs. The staff is super nice and I never worry about leaving our girl there. They offer many services from flea baths to nails/specialty grooming and even colors! Holly comes out happy, smelling great and looking beautiful every time. We have gone to another place but they never got the "traditional" golden cut to look right but Hair of The Dog nails it every time! We recently got another Golden who will be getting groomed there as well :) highly recommend!

Brought my Husky/Shepherd mix here for the first time. Dog has never been to the groomers before,…read morebut she was blowing out her winter coat hardcore so I figured it was a good time. They did an excellent job! My pup looks great, and it was only $50 which I feel like is very reasonable. If I have to bring my dog back in the future then I will!
