Consistently Poor - The Worst Garage I've Ever Dealt With…read more My experience with Budgen's Shrewsbury has been nothing short of a nightmare. Over the course of a year, absolutely no part of their service has been competent or reliable. They've repeatedly failed to diagnose simple issues (like worn track rod ends), caused damage during routine servicing, and returned my car broken more than once. Every visit has come with long delays, lost bookings, and poor communication -- I've had to chase them constantly just to get updates. They even managed to lose personal items from my vehicle, which were never replaced or even properly acknowledged. Two fairly routine issues under warranty have ended up consuming hundreds of miles of travel and tens of hours of wasted time, all due to their ongoing incompetence. Avoid this garage at all costs. It's the most consistently disappointing and frustrating service experience I've ever had.

The law states the a car must be able to pass a mot this car would not as it's has no lights....... then the car breaks down, and won't start, they still said bring it to us, we have had one of there quality used cars now 2 weeks.......shocking customer service, receptionist just hangs up on you, I would seriously consider using a different garage if your considering a used car as these people dont deliver anything like the customer service they say that they offer

The second car developed an intermittent fault which they could not find or fix. The brand manager then refused to investigate further even though the car was inside manufacturers warranty. The fault was the handbrake refusing to release until the key is removed from the ignition and restarted. Admittedly difficult to resolve due to the intermittent nature however expected much better customer service. The Volkswagen electronic park brake issues are well documented on the internet simply google Passat handbrake issues. Information I could have done with prior to laying down £20,000.
