I cannot say enough good things about this store. First, Jason is amazing! He went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service! I will return for all of my additional furniture needs because of him alone. Even after we changed our minds with our original purchase, Jason worked to get us exactly what we needed and within our budget. The prices they are able offer are incredible! We bought 2 recliners and could not be happier with the price and quality. A must visit if you are looking for furnature in Ukiah or the surrounding area. read more

We purchased a couch and had an issue with all of the seat cushions staying in place, we tried strong double sided tape and heavy duty Velcro, nothing worked. We tried working with the furniture store to return and refund us, but they wouldn't without a taking a 20% restocking fee and a pick up fee....terrible uncomfortable couch. read more

I walked in and felt good about the place, as I walk to the back i was greeted by 2 people at the desk, 1 male, 1 female, I told them I wanna purchase a mattress and i asked if they can deliver it and they said yes, as they were getting my info down i look behind them real fast because I have wondering eyes, as i looked up there's 2 workers staring at me as if they had a problem with me after i had a greet smile, then they walk away after a couple seconds and they come back but one whispers to the others ear something, i couldn't hear nothing but when he got done whispering the other guy looked at me and had a weird ass smile at me, then they both went to the back and that's the last time i seen them. Overall I give it 2 stars for bad customer service and the 1 star is for me making my purchase on a mattress. read more

Horrible Customer Service! My Mother went into this location to purchase a mattress. She desired to spend her money locally opposed to spending with a big chain. The sales man was not only rude in tone but also insulting and unknowledgeable about the products.. I do not reside in this city so i could not help my Mother in person, she had me on face-time. (For a short background she visited me recently and loved my daughters "Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid Norman 12" Medium Mattress" which retails at 1400. She didn't like my Purple Hybrid Premier 3 Mattress which retails over 2500) The salesmen first said the Sealy was cheap and they only carry high end mattress and as the purple which is one of the best brands on the market was "eww gross"When asked for comparison to a Hybrid Similar to the Sealy mentioned (since you guys do carry sealy brand) that also is designed for back sleepers he was annoyed with my questioning. I explained that budget was not an Issue that comfort for my elderly mother was. He ignored her the rest of the visit, after stating "thank God i wasn't coming in.. " Needless to say we will be purchasing the Sealy Posturepedic Summer Rose 13" Medium Euro Pillow Top Mattress from MATTRESS FIRM!! Although this store had it in-stock the salesmanship and customer service displayed her does not deserve our money read more

This is more a review La-Z-Boy Corporation than Furniture Design Center, by policy of La-Z-Boy they are not able deal with what is obviously a decline of quality of the furniture. I purchased a $2,000 Power Recliner that had the same failure and was replaced twice that La-Z-Boy now refuses to honor their Warranty. The specific failure is in the frame that is now constructed with Waferboard which flakes away under load of the bracket that supports the back pivot point. This is contributed to by a smaller bracket held with only one fastener rather than 2 as used in their old time tested designs. I Certainly Cannot recommend anyone purchase a La-Z-Boy product any longer. read more

Furniture Design Center - Furniture Stores Near Me - Ukiah, California

Bought a $1000 recliner, swivel, and rocker. It came and started squeeking a little. FDC came and replaced the springs, a week later it started squeeking constantly. FDC said come and pick out another chair, which I did and with different material, it cost another $180. Waited 9 weeks for it and then it came (got a glider, swivel recliner) and the glider skreeched, again FDC came and repaired the skreech saying the shop did something wrong. The swivel also was not correct and it felt like the ball bearings were not smooth, making it feel bumpy when swiveling. FDC came and got the chair saying it needed a new swivel with better ball bearings, after waiting 2 hrs. for them to bring it back (said 1 hr) called and FDC said they would need to order a swivel and could take 2 - 4 weeks. Now waiting for chair to be returned without being repaired and needing to wait another 4 weeks. The time and trouble for this one chair is outrageous and should have gone to Willits Furniture and will in the future. read more

Ryan greeted us and was very helpful in selecting a lift chair. He even gave us a military discount!!

I would just like to start off with how disappointed I am about our local furniture store. The customer service has been excellent and I always shopped for all my furniture there. One of my couches which plugs into the wall so it can open automatically had a problem on one of the reclining sides ( it wouldn't open anymore). I called to see if they could do something about it had a warranty and they said they would come out to check it out and possibly fix it. A month later I called again asking about the couch again, once again they told me they would put me on a list to go once they were in the area, they never came. I called once again and I could tell they weren't putting me on a list or making this a priority. I got tired of dealing with them I shouldn't beg them to keep their word or help out their loyal customers who have purchased previously. Instead I will take my business elsewhere since they can't take me seriously and stay with my broken couch. Very disappointed I expected better service! read more

Although the customer service was great the policies are terrible!!!! I Purchased a mattress and not a cheap mattress by any means. At first it was wonderful but after a three weeks I noticed that it was sinking in the middle and causing back pain. Knowing I had 30 days for an exchange I called promptly. Unfortunately I was informed that my 30 days started at the time of purchase and not at the time of delivery.!!! So I was out $1400 and I did not have a mattress I could sleep on. I try to shop locally but if you're looking for a mattress I'd suggest wayfair great customer service quality goods can't beat the price and 120 days for exchange!!! read more

Great products, large selection, friendly (non-pushy) staff and fast free delivery. We've purchased quite abut of furniture from this place and will continue to do so in the future. Always a pleasure doing business with these folks and like that we can support a local business. read more

Will never step foot in the store again! Cancelled both my orders as a result of false advertising, warranty and unbelievably poor management. If this is America's #1, we have failed as a people! read more

My wife and I try to support our local businesses. However, our recent experience with Ukiah Furniture Design was less than favorable. Customer and delivery services were awful and fallacious. We finally decided to cancel the order rather than wait an indeterminable amount of time to actually receive our purchase. In the future, I suggest they consider the customer and the revenue we provide a little more seriously. read more

What happened to common human decency! Buyers beware! As much as I prepared I never thought the store manager would out and out lie to make a furniture sale. We are seniors and had been looking at a Lazy Boy recliner lift chair with heat and massage for our household. On Wed. 1/23/19 we met with Ryan (store manager) and negotiated a deal on the Lazy Boy Astor Lift Chair. During the negotiations I asked Ryan if he had other Astor lift chairs (besides the floor model) and he replied, "I have several in the back." On Thurs. 1/24/19 Ryan telephoned to let me know the delivery would occur. No other conversation occurred. We received the Astor lift chair but did not have an instruction manual so we dropped by the store on Fri 1/25/19 to ask about the manual. Ryan stated there was no such manual, regarding how to use the remote, warranty information or care of the fabric. While there I looked into the display room where the lift chairs are displayed only to see the demo for our model was gone! I asked Ryan if he sold me the floor model and he said yes. I stated he lied to us. I was not informed by Ryan the store manager I was purchasing the floor model. Nor did he state on the phone he was delivering the floor model. There was no apology until I requested one. His remedy $100.00 credit. Buyers Beware! read more
