I come here far too often, but the selection and prices are just too good to pass up! I definitely think that some stuff here is little more than junk, but you will find plenty of gems here. After all, what's junk to me could be just what you need. I've gotten clothes, a coffee grinder, crock pot, planters, decor, candles, books, and cat supplies all from here. Love the cause but this particular shop doesn't quite keep up with some of their other shops. It's a step above their Lawrenceville shop which in my humble opinion should be closed down. I frequent Furkids shops often but won't be going back to Marietta or lawrenceville Low on the totem pole for value, ie selling items at sticker price from original store. selection well you'd have to pick thru alot of crummy items to get a few fair things Service nope, maybe the worst out of all there shops. I think the workers there would rather chat than assist. I would however recommend checking out their other shops for a better experience read more

This is the best thrift store in the area BY FAR. Every time I come in here, I find the coolest treasures for an incredible price! (Honestly, it's so good I almost want to keep it a secret from other thrifters, but I know what a great cause it's for, so I'm happy to share! We love pups!) The staff here is SO nice and welcoming. They always talk to us about our son and make us feel really special. We've only come here a few times and they remembered our family! Everyone we've had conversations with here is fantastic. This place is in the same shopping center as Marietta antiques and Life Groceries. Its a thrift store that benefits the animal charity known as Furkids. The place is super well organized. Everything is clearly marked with tags and dated. There weren't many bargains here that I could see. Most stuff is what they sell for at an antique store so I didn't get much here. I did find an amber glass ashtray for $4. Some 1970's glassware for $4.00 and a tweed purse from the British department store Harold's for $2.00. I thought the ash tray was a bargain since they're getting hard to find these days. This store is amazing!!! It is so well organized and full of high end items. I purchased a name brand China cabinet in perfect condition for $65. I had just gone there to drop off items and came home with more then I took. My friend bought furniture, too. Along with other items. The staff was extremely helpful and you could tell they cared about this charity. I recommend everyone give it a try. read more

You can tell how motivated and dedicated the staff is to help all furkids by how much they are willing to help you. Top it all off by the fact they don't sell garbage there. Their items are All in nice condition. If any item has any secret damage one can not see Amanda is honest & will let you know. In our personal experience, Out of all the thrift or used stores this one in 1487 Marietta, is the BEST! I've been self employed with my own company for many yrs. I have learned any business in order to succeed can only be at good as those that work there. Amanda & Christina have always made our shopping experience at FURKIDS in Marietta very pleasant & I always want to go back. They keep the store very clean. They always remind ppl that profits go to help FUR KIDS which is such a good cause. You can donate items as I have to help all furkids. Dogs need everyone's help. It's very costly to protect & keep them healthy & alive. Ive taken lots of family & friends to shop there. I really like the fact its always so clean with such an amazing staff. Many other thrift stores are dirty, over priced & you really need to scavenger hunt because most are very unorganized with stuff on top of stuff in an area you wouldn't even think to look. This is the absolute best thrift store I have ever visited, and I'm quite the Thrifting veteran. The store is well organized and has lovely staff. The only downside to this establishment is their violations of the ADA so if you are disabled or in a wheelchair, do note that some of their isles can be very thin and hard to navigate. They have an entire section dedicated to pet products which I for one have never seen in a thrift store and absolutely love! they have a wonderful book section with lots of great sales. the furniture section is always great every time I go in, LOTS to choose from. I appreciate that the store is very sensory friendly compared to Goodwill, they don't blast loud music here. read more

Been to Furkids about a half dozen times this year, I'm a very big fan. The prices are arguably too low - I enjoy book hunting, and I've gotten a dozen books from Furkids for prices that even Goodwill can't touch. Furkids seems to run a couple great store-wide discounts throughout the year as well, which puts hardcover books down the only a buck each. You can't beat that! Overall, this is a very clean Thrift store. You can tell the staff puts a lot of time into keeping the place tidy and smelling fresh, and it's much appreciated. Every time I visit I walk out with one thing or another, and for the price I pay I feel like I'm stealing. Great place, fantastic prices, well kept. I highly recommend. read more

I came here on Grand Opening day and this is a fantastic thrift store. Money goes to a great cause; everything is also well-priced. Clean, well organized, well lit, and customer service is excellent. Great knick-knack section and the books were well organized. Friendly customer service; if they see you with an armful of goods, they'll kindly take them off your hands and hold them at the front :-) They only had one register, so I had to wait a few minutes to be checked out. The Furkids on Upper Roswell Rd. Marietta is such a fun store. It's a great place to find many surprising treasures! They have antiques in perfect condition, and others that only need some Antique Stain Polish, or minimal work to restore to their full glory! You can find sets of china; crystal glassware; working appliances; working computers and printers; lamps; lamp shades; an entire room dedicated to Christmas year round; vintage, some brand new, and gently used clothing for men, women, and children along with shoes too; some original artwork with prints of all styles; comforters, quilts, bedspreads, and decorative pillows; placemats and table cloths with cloth napkins; all kinds of craft decor; toys for kids and baby carriers; bicycles; musical instruments; cat and dog crates, beds, adorable dog outfits, and MORE!!! The prices are very inexpensive. I saw one women try on an elegant evening dress that was in perfect condition. It most likely cost $300 retail. She paid $4.50. Now that is a phenomenol deal. The staff: volunteers and especially the manager are very friendly and eager to help as needed. The very best part of Furkids is that all the money they collect goes to support 3 or 4 no kill animal shelters for our fur baby kids: cats and dogs, which can be adopted. I recommend that this is a very fun place to browse (and purchase) once a week. You may find an antique chair in perfect condition, or brand new bar chairs. I love me some thrift stores but so many of them now seem so pre-picked and generic , it's hard to find places were it feels like real people donated more than just stained t-shirts and plastic office furniture. Furkids was like stepping back in time to the golden days of thrifting before it became trendy. They have items that span so many decades and are displayed in a way that is fun to shop and really feels like there's a treasure waiting for you. I like the thrill of the hunt and really enjoy having a reason to take my time. The prices are reasonable and Goodies abound! And I like to donate where I know locals get a shot at good stuff and the non-profit serves its mission, helping furry friends. read more

I've been to this store about 10 times now, and I can say on one occasion was I greeted by a staff member. I just walked out again and not one of them spoke to me after they watched me walk in and browse. No, I don't look like anyone in there, so maybe that's why. But it doesn't help that they rarely have anything worth buying anyway. I won't be returning. I never feel like my business is appreciated here. I usually have an aversion to shopping in thrift stores mostly because of the smell, but this one is ok. I only buy books here, which are $1.00 for hardbacks and .50 cents for soft backs. Every week, they also have a day where books are an extra 25% off. I shop for books here before going on ebay because I've found a lot of books here that are out of print. read more

Excellent Thrift Shop-friendly staff (Amanda's one of my favorites)always very helpful whether in store or when I drop things off (sometimes heavy stuff she's always more than willing to do the heavy lifting too) I go to several thrift shops in the area and hands down Furkids is my favorite-very tastefully placed items when you walk in-looks more like an antique shop than a thrift shop (that's a good thing) but thrift shop prices-they've expanded once since being there - certainly worth trying if you've never been-you will not be disappointed! The volunteers will quickly tell you that all the money raised goes to care for the homeless animals of Georgia. I took a lot of donations over and was very pleased to see that they put them out immediately and priced them to sell quickly. It's definitely worth a trip to Marietta. read more
