I love their margarita pizza it's really yum, the sauce is authentic Italian red sauce fresh you can taste it, the crust has to be from a non gmo yeast because I never bloat or have stomach issues after eating their pizza. Very yummy I recommend 100%. read more

While visiting Midland, I checked out some restaurant reviews and discovered an Italian place that had high ratings. We decided to try it, and it exceeded our expectations. I ordered the Tour Italy, and my daughter chose the tortellini; to our delight, both dishes were fantastic. To start, the bread that you get when you first come in is not good at all, wasn't very fresh and was super chewy, next we got garlic bread, it tasted like they toasted the bread, sprinkled cheese on top and then put it in the microwave. The service is okay, there was only one server and she didn't talk much. I got fettuccine Alfredo and let me just say it's some of the worst I've ever had. It doesn't taste like cheese or anything like fettuccine Alfredo should it tastes like gravy. My friend got shrimp with vodka sauce and the shrimp were just bagged frozen shrimp you could get at the store, and the sauce was super watered down, the ambiance is very empty, it's like they went to an Ashly furniture picked out a basic dining set and asked for about twenty of them. I came here with high hopes and left severally disappointed, definitely won't be back. I only took like 2 bites of my food before I decided I was done. I really wanted to like this place. I loved the restaurant that was previously in this space, but I knew it struggled with ambiance because of how large and cold/fluorescent the space is. When we walked into Fuoco's, it immediately seemed like they struggle with the same atmosphere issues. It is not very cozy, and the instrumental music blaring in the large open space did not create a comforting environment. It took a bit to get served, but once we were, the server was good and attentive. The food was, as the zoomers would say, "mid." Everything was fine, but nothing was great, and nothing was bad. The pizza crust was a little thick and fluffy for my taste, and it just didn't taste memorable. The lasagna and chicken parm were good; the fettuccine alfredo was ok. My husbands rigatoni was fine, but he said the meatballs were under seasoned. The mussels marinara were fine, and the bruschetta was good but there was only one cherry tomato on each piece of bread which made it look cheap and stingy, not high end. Would I ever eat here again? Maybe. But I wouldn't go out of my way, and I wouldn't recommend it. That being said, I hope they work out their issues and build a successful restaurant. I know it's hard to establish new places in this area, and some of the food does have potential; it just needs refinement. read more

I feel bad writing this review because I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately everything about it was just bad. The interior was like if someone tried to put together a restraint in the barn behind their house. The chairs we were sat in were dirty and stained, there paint on the wall was noticeably streaked, there was plastic hanging from the ceiling with the brightest led lights ever, the Spanish music did not match the Italian vibe at all. The service was pretty bad too. Everyone was nice but we stood in the front for 10 minutes before anyone came up to us. One couple had been there before us and walked out because they hadn't been served. Then the waiter seemed a little out of it. I asked if we could spilt a Caesar salad and they said yes then we never got it and when I asked about it they pretended like I never ordered it. The Caesar salad was also bad, it was pretty much Caesar flavored mayo dressing. We got the Lobster Ravioli and Chicken Murphy and I don't know what to say other than both were mid. Please! Please! Save your money and your disappointment! There are 3 OTHER unique Italian Restaurants and 1 chain Italian restaurant within 5 mins from this one, patronize one of them. This was Fuoco's second and LAST chance with us. VERY DISAPPOINTING! We believe in giving new restaurants a second chance! BUT it costs too much to eat out, as it is, you want to enjoy it! Whoever has opened this place has no clue about Italian Food or running a restaurant! Not only, IF you are going to open an Italian restaurant should you be making fresh pasta not dry pasta! BUT the food is edging on the side of disgusting! My husbands Chicken Genovese was edible but the sauce was not a cream sauce, it was a normal Marsala sauce but runny and tasted like mass production, jarred, definitely not scratch/house made and contained Pickled Jalapeños?? We were curious about jalapeños in Italian food! We like spicy and we are adventurous, but Pickled Jalapeños? really!! The grilled chicken tasted fake, like it came from Ben E Keith's, already grilled filets! I made the mistake of ordering the clams in white wine sauce! Described as clams cooked in garlic and Basil in either a white wine sauce or marinara. I, as most would expect, was expecting fresh in shell clams cooked in garlic and Basil in white wine! There was NO evidence of garlic, basil or white wine in the dish! It was macerated canned clams in a sauce that tasted like chicken flavored baby food! With dried oregano or Italian seasoning sprinkled in it. I wouldn't feed it to my cats! I ate two bites! The service wasn't bad but not good and the waitress was clueless! I didn't make a scene but she didn't care to inquire why I didn't eat my dish, just wanted to know if I wanted a to go box! NO THANKS! I have NO idea why someone would randomly decide to open an Italian Restaurant within 1 mile of 4 other Italian restaurants and then cut corners and serve sub par food! If they don't make changes I'm calling that this place will be closed before making a year! It will have nothing to do with the ambiance! If food is good, people will come regardless of the ambiance! If the food is bad and not worth your money, you will lose repeat customers and they will warn everyone they know to stay away! I wish I had taken a pick of my disgusting clam baby food pasta to show but didn't think to take one at the time. The only good thing about the meal was the Cannoli for dessert! read more

Wonderful!!! The atmosphere was relaxing and we could actually hear each other talk without having to yell. The staff was very nice and prompt-we never had to wait for drink refills. The food was very good! We will definitely be coming in more often. Update: tonight we had the mozzarella caprese and it was absolutely amazing! I've ordered a million chicken wings for my dad from here. I don't usually like wings bc they're covered in sauce. These are crispy wings with sauce on the side and they are crispy heaven. The ranch is homemade too. I tried the chicken Alfredo tonight. And it was the best sauce, hands down here in Midland. As a native Midlander, I look forward to new restaurants but with a 'good for Midland' lens. Went to Fuoco for lunch and had side salad with house Italian dressing and the chicken piccata. Side Salad was poured from a bag of American mix, stale iceberg, carrots and red cabbage. House Italian dressing was different and not traditional, too sweet and appeared more tomato base? Fresh salad isn't hard and would make a considerable first impression. When Midland restaurant's fail it is little details and shortcuts like this that keep me from coming back. Chicken Piccata was two pieces of overcooked grilled chicken over spaghetti. The sauce and spaghetti were lovely though. If the chicken was a tad thicker (vs being flattened so thin) and add a bit of vegetable to the plate it would a nice dish. The service was good. However, would recommend offering customers more explanation when ordering house Italian dressing since it is not traditional. read more

I was excited to try it because I heard good things to say the least 0/10 don't recommend. the pizza was loaded with absolutely wayyy too much cheese just a disgusting amount. The undercarriage of the pizza (the dough) was way too chewy almost under-cooked like the pizza was rushed. I got the same vibes with the garlic bread just white bread with cheese thrown on it (literally) & chunks of garlic absolutely 0 appeal not to mention it came smashed in foil with cheese falling off. Fuoco's staff made us feel welcome as we entered. The waitress seated two of us even though we waited for two friends to arrive. She checked on us and brought drinks and the delicious home made bread knots while we waited. Our friends arrived after 20 minutes but she did not rush us to order. Menus offered typical Italian choices. She adapted two of our orders to our requests. I ordered white clam sauce on fettucine. One order was for a small serving of fettucine alfredo with chicken. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed his huge hot meatball sub. The fourth order was for the Taste of Italy, a great variety of combinations. Salads were fresh and crisp; the Caesar dressing presented the right blend of flavors. Ice tea was clear and with the right, fresh taste. Service was very good as our waitress checked on us after entrees were delivered and throughout the meal. She seemed to truly want to serve us and always with a smile and polite response. Fabulous food and the sweetest servers! We ordered the Garlic Cheese Bread and Bruschetta Appetizers, both came quickly and fresh. Our meals came out perfect, we ordered the Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Alfredo, and the Tour of Italy which had Chicken Parmigiana, fettuccine Alfredo and Lasagna.
