This is one of these new age, feel good centres which is far away from the world of treadmills and sweaty, grunting men. It's official title is 'Wellness Centre' which doesn't scare me at all, not like the words 'spin class' scare me anyway.
The centre offers yoga and Reiki classes, including shiatsu. I have never tried any of these, so this was really enticing and new.
Reiki is a hands on therapy, which focuses on the healing of the energy sources on the body, promoting a mental and spiritual healing. Which all sounds lovely, but I'm not convinced. It costs £30 per hour, so it ain't the cheapest either.
For something a bit more sporty, Funtastica run Zumba classes; a dance class with a latin twist, which lasts an hour and only costs £4. A few of my pals are regulars and absolutely love it!
Yoga is another speciality, with Ashtanga Yoga (synchronising the breath with posture) and Dru Yoga (gentle stretches and breath awareness) Both of these are suitable for all fitness levels.
