The equipment is clean and in good repair and whether my 2.5yr old son is there or my 8 year old nephew - there is something for both of them! Peppered around the room are numerous coin slot type rides (which generally the kids play on without them moving!), some fake tattoo machines, bouncy ball machines and a teddy grabber. All extra expense but I've heard a thousand times Mums & Dads tell their little ones that it's broken Darling so most of us get away with not handing over the pennies! The food is impressive - everything from chips and chicken nuggets, veggie chilli and rice, hot panini's fish fingers - HUGE baguettes, salads, home made soups and a large choice of drinks, icecreams and sweet cakes etc. They do have some gluten free items available too. The food is somewhat on the pricey side but of a high quality and very decent portions. There are three toilets, one being a disabled / baby changing room and these are kept clean and tidy. Funky Farm also caters for themed parties and although I've never attended one I have been there when they have been on and they seem well organised and a lot of fun! Opening times are 10am - 6pm Tuesday - Sunday. There is plenty of private parking for patrons.

Parents are allowed to go into the area with their kids which is always good, especially if you've got younger ones, and there's loads there to keep you all amused. Wi-fi internet is available, so take the laptop along and get on with your own stuff while the kids play. The food is really good. When they first opened I got a peek at the kitchen and it was more like something out a 5* hotel than a cafe. Most of the food is proper cooked stuff, and there's a fair choice on the menu at reasonable prices. Most of the staff are really friendly, many have childcare experience. It's run by two couples who both have families so they've taken an proper interest in making the best of the place that they can. It's close to the school so it does get very busy at around 3pm but if you're able to go in the morning then it's lovely - I'd highly recommend taking a trip through Brigg to call in here if you're passing on the M180.

I found out about it one through the latest small talk publication and thought I would give it a try as they always seem to be popular choice of activity for my little ones. The directions given in advert were easy to follow and had no trouble finding the place except finding the entrance and car park was slightly more difficult. You need to past the little Legz building and take the next left and then the first left takes you round to the car park just outside the main entrance. Directions can be found from their web site and I will give the address at the end of my review. My first visit was a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed full with children of all ages having a great time. The admission price is a quite reasonable £3.70 for 1-3's and £3.95 for the over 4's. I also notice they do toddler session weekday mornings at a reduced rate which also includes a meal and a drink which seem great value. The place has a very lively atmosphere and is decorated in bright and colour designs which will a appeal to children. There is plently of seating for the grown ups and even a chilled out area with sofa's and sky tv so you can leave the kids to get on with playing a sit back and relax knowing they are safe. There is cafe for drinks, cakes and also meals can be ordered too from the menu. It is important to remember to take your socks as sock must be worn at all times in the play area and you wont be allowed on with out them. There is main play area as well as smaller section for younger toddlers. At busy times I would recommend keeping a close eye on younger children in the larger play area as the bigger kids tend to run around with out much notice off the smaller one as they are too busy having fun. I found my little one got banged a couple of times so I moved them to the toddler area where they were fine. This is a great place for kids mine were smiling the whole time. They loved the slides best of all but had fun in all the areas. A good time was had by all my family and I certainly will be heading back there soon. I visited Big Sheep Little Cow while staying in the area on a family holiday…read more This is a great attraction with lots to keep the kids and adults entertained. There is an excellent indoor play area, some outdoor play areas with go karts and ride on trikes..., and of course a huge selection of farm animals for your little ones to learn about. There is a cafe serving lunches and refreshments, and a party area upstairs. It cost us £24 for two adults and my three year old to access the playbarn and go on the farm tour, and my one year old went free. You can pay less just to access the playbarn, without going on the farm tour. This seems to be a great spot for parent and toddler meet ups. The farm tour was really excellent - lasting around an hour, with the opportunity to hold/pet mice, rats, Guinea pigs, and hedgehogs in the indoor small animal section. We then moved outside and saw goats, llama, pigs, donkeys, Shetland Ponies, sheep, chickens and ducks. There was lots of opportunities for the little ones to interact with the animals such as brushing the pig, sitting on the Shetland pony and feeding the hungry lambs. We all had a great day out at Big Sheep Little Cow and my three year old in particular got to try out new things through interacting with the farm animals. Special mention to all the lovely staff we came across - everyone was so friendly, and we all left smiling!

For the entrance fee you get a tour of the animals…read more- usually lambs, calves, a pig you can wash, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chickens etc.If you visit at the right time you can feed the lambs and or calves. You can also pay a little more and use their indoor play barn (adults can go on the equipment too!) with a death slide etc. They have a decent cafe and at peak times the tractor ride and go-karts are open. A great day out - or party destination. Dry or wet weather.

It was sons little friends birthday and everyone was invited to go to the farm.. it cost me £22.50…read morefor three adults and one child.. the animal pens are small and there's only about 16 in total.. half are filled with calfs a few with pigs and a couple with sheep.. and you can't really feed the animals apart from one pig pen where you have to put the feed in via a pulley and a little truck.. you can pet a guinea pig though.. I gave it two stars because for the money you pay, you don't really have too much to look at.. Also.. I gave it a low score because even though you're allowed to take your own food, we was shouted at for putting our rubbish in a bin.. I know.. not only that but the guy raises his voice in front of a group of 2 year olds.. apparently there's a sign saying you can't use the trash bin if you bring your own food.. even though it's a small sign and not near any bins.. it's just randomly placed by a tractor where kids play.. it was our first time there and they treat people like that.. the only reason I gave it two stars was cause my 2 year old son loved running around a little maze made of bails of hay.. even then older kids later on started pulling the bails apart and throwing them at people and nothing was said.. Apparently if we go back then we're banned from bringing our own food again.. but I can say we won't be returning.
