Bit of random location upstairs above a furniture store just off the main wakefield road in Huddersfield this a softplay gym for kids. Has the usual you'd expect from places like this and is a great way of keeping the kids entertained. Only bad points are the table and chairs are solid wood which seems a odd choice when lots of over excited kids will be running around and secondly the ball pools are way too deep for young kids. I watch my poor son go completely underneath all the ball and was worried what would of happen if I haven't seen him and dragged him out. Still well worth a visit lots to keep little busy with and you might be able to get a drink in peace. read more

Cheeky Monkeys is an indoor softplay gym for kids aged 0-12. It is open 7 days a week Monday - Saturday 9.30AM - 6.30PM Sundays/ Bank holidays 9.30AM - 4.00PM Last admission is 1 HOUR before close of business. It costs £3.50 for 1-11 year olds with a (2hr limit)and under 1's are free and so are adults. There a large free carpark at the back. These soft play gyms seem to be popping up everywhere and are very popular. I do think this one has a rather strange location above a furniture store but don't be put off by this as the place is pretty big and has loads for the kids to do. I feel the admission charge offers good value for money. There is 2 Tier levels of soft play including ball pools , rope bridge, swing rope, spooky area, punch bags 30ft wavy slide which is lots of fun, a Toddler area which includes ball pool, soft play toys and mini bikes. I would advise watching smaller children closely in the ball pool as it is rather deep and I saw a couple of smaller kids get completely submerged. There is plenlty for the kids to do so they wont get bored and you'll most like be able to sit and get a coffee in peace. The food offer good value for money they offer a large selection or both breakfast and main meals which include Paninis, Wraps, Toasted Sandwiches, Jacket Potatoes with a choice of filling, Salads, Home - made Specials - Yorkshire Pudding with sausage / roast beef, Lasagne with salad or garlic bread, Cottage pie with veg. My son had fish and chips and he loved it and it less than £3 with a drink. and we didn't have to wait long. I did find the solid wooden furniture a bit of and odd choice for a place were over excited kids are going to be running around it did seems a little bit hazardous for small kids. The toilets were clean and little girls room is bright pink with fairy pictures, I thought it was a rather nice touch. I think this place is great for kids they are bound to have a good time with so much to play on. I would recommend it and plan to pay another visit soon. read more

My son had his fith birthday party her in July this year, fantastic atmosphere for children and adults, the food was good with all the usual kiddie treats. Will go back!!! read more

Been a few times now with wife and child. Food is consistently good , admission price is reasonable . As the parents sit around the central soft play area you can usually keep a pretty good eye on the little one. However , toilets could be cleaner and avoid the smelly broom cupboard that is the baby change room read more

Large soft play gym above a furniture shop, I have visited here many times as it is our nearest play gym. There is a large free car park at the back and I have always managed to get a spot. If you go alone and have a pram, you can take your baby out and upstairs, and one of the staff will bring your pram up the few flights of stairs for you. Free for babies, there are a few dedicated areas for the really little ones at the ack of the play zone, with toddler toys in them, a bouncer, etc, although most of the batteries have run out which makes the toys a bit less fun! This area is fully padded and very safe. There is a toilet dedicated to baby changing, with a table and a mat, although it is very small and you would struggle to take a baby and a toddler in if you had to. Also, I have found on a few visits that the toilets are not that clean, with loo rolls stuck on the walls, etc, and no toilet roll available. The food served at Cheeky monkeys is by far the best I have had in any play place, with fresh meals from a daily menu that is always different and has some unusual choices to try, at good value prices. Also has nice fresh coffees, etc. The chairs and sofas are starting to get very worn, torn, etc, which I suppose is not surprising as this is a busy play place. Also, you have to take care, as the chairs and tables are wood. There is free juice for the children at all times. My son has attended quite a few parties here, which consist of playtime and a sit down buffet style meal, I can't recall any party games. The main play area is big with several areas, although you can walk all the way around and its fairly easy to locate your children, which is a big plus for me. My 5 year old son loves to go here and that says more than I can really, as it gets his vote! read more
