Because of Katie, Steve and I were able to focus on enjoying our wedding day and everything that truly matters at the end of the day. We met Katie about 6 months before our wedding to discuss her services and she was absolutely wonderful from the start. About a month and a half before our wedding Katie had us fill out an incredibly detailed questionnaire which she used to execute everything from coordinating vendors and logistics prior to our wedding day and run our big day. Shortly after I filled out the questionnaire Katie met our venue representative and I to go over all of the logistics of the day and the information she gathered from us was so helpful during that meeting. I was so grateful to have Katie at that meeting because she helped me answer questions and think of things that I would never think of on my own. She is extremely organized and made everything that we dreamed of happen. Katie was a huge part of making our special day run so smooth and I am so grateful for her. If you're thinking of hiring someone for the month of/day of your wedding HIRE KATIE. I wish I could have hired her for the whole planning process. If you can do that, do it! Planning a wedding and all the events that lead up to it can be a pretty anxious period and she will be there to keep it together when things sometimes do not go the way its supposed to. But any planner can do that. What set her apart for me is her personality. We've had a meeting stretch to four hours and it didn't even seem like it. We got to talking about mediocre djs, dumplings, and single men. Lol. She is like a friend you can talk to instead of someone you hired. Also, and this is crucial, she will make things happen. In the realm of possibility, of course. :D I told her I was thinking of having lanterns. And voila, not only did she get lanterns, she got them for cheap and she painted them herself! I was also flip-flopping whether I should get drapery, the cost was what was holding me back. And poof, she scored me some inexpensive once-used drapery. I was fortunate enough to work with Ashlee and she was AMAZING from start to finish. :) I still remember our first phone meeting with her. I expressed all of our concerns with budget, guest count, and so on, and Ashlee listened and addressed all of my concerns. After our conversation, she sent over affordable package options. We decided to pick the month of and design. Ashlee created a design board for us and a budget list (not part of our package). She consistently answered emails in a timely manner and was so helpful! As we all know COVID has been around since March and we unfortunately still had to deal with it in July! There were SEVERAL times I would panic and want to stress cry, but I would send Ashlee an email instead and she would seriously just make EVERYTHING better! It was so nice having someone being positive during such negative times. Well, fast-forward to the month of the wedding and Ashlee, again, on top of things and handling all of the frequent changes with exceptional professionalism. The day of the wedding went so smooth thanks to her and her team. You would not believe how organized, prepared, and helpful her team was! From making sure the decorations were set at the right place to providing eye lash glue, they were ready for it! We booked them for MC, cold sparklers, LED lighting, and walking on clouds. The morning of my wedding the LED lights were set up before the ceremony so I didn't think anything was wrong but all the other stuff was never delivered. We didn't notice until we were ready for our first dance. I was completely devastated it ruined my entire image of how I thought my wedding day would look. After the wedding it took days to get a real response they offered a partial refund but I said we deserved a full refund which they agreed. I booked DJ Smooth B for our wedding, adding the Cold Sparks and Dancing on a Cloud to our package. The IG page for the company showed a DJ who shows up looking fantastic and gets a party going. What I got was NOT DJ Smooth B, but someone else entirely. Dressed casual for my formal event, announced us incorrectly- even mispronouncing my name twice, did not play the correct music for cocktail hour, did not know the songs to play for specific things like the cake cutting, didn't announce a single thing- including the toast and cake cutting. To top it all off, there was NO Dancing on a Cloud or Cold Sparks. The DJ had absolutely no idea that we were supposed to have those things, and he couldn't get a hold of anyone to tell him why it was missing. I never heard from Any Event regarding what was missing. I had to call them about it the next day. I was told the guy who had the effects was in a car accident on the way to my wedding and that's why we didn't get the effects. Later that week, after numerous calls and emails with no response, Brodrick answered and told me the guy died, and he was dealing with that and would refund me eventually. It never happened. It has been over a year now with zero refund and nothing but lies and lies and more lies from both Brodrick and his assistant. My wedding was beautiful without the DJ fiasco, but it was definitely not what it could have been. I would NEVER hire this company again. I would suggest you use your own playlist on your phone before giving them the time of day.

The only issue I had was not getting everything in writing, so make sure you specifically get everything in writing so you can look back on it if there are any miscommunications. We were told we would have a rehearsal the Friday before the wedding (the wedding was on the following sunday). We were also told we could decorate after the rehearsal was over because no one was going to be in the room. On friday we called to confirm the time which was 7pm. They said they did not have a rehearsal scheduled for us and that we could not come to decorate because Firemen were having a meeting in there at the time. This was the first thing I wished I had in writing, because I know we had confirmed for that previously. After this we had to arrange for everyone to come in early on Sunday so we could still decorate and do a quick rehearsal. When we were going over the contract Royal who is their event planner said that we could stay until 8pm. When we got there suddenly it had changed to 7. He ended up later allowing us to stay until 7:30 because I think he realized he had messed a few things up for us with the rehearsal and all. We were also told by him that he had a bar tender for us and 2 servers. He ended up being the bar tender and we only ended up having one server. All and all it all worked out in the end. The decor was beautiful in the church. I was pretty relaxed for a bride so I didn't have a huge freakout or anything, but I am sure some people in the same situation would. If you are looking for a nice venue, with affordable accommodations where you have a lot of availability to provide your own things such as decor, music, food, alcohol ect. this is a good place for you. Just please do not make my mistake, whatever they offer you get it in writing! We are also pretty sure we paid the bar tender fee twice because during the contract signing we had paid for everything we agreed to, then once the wedding was wrapping up my husband was told he didn't pay the 150 bar tender fee. Side note, check their hours because it was hard to reach them over the phone when we needed something. We had to call multiple times to even schedule to make payment for our wedding.
