What swayed me in the end was the fact that 4-5 neighbors up the street had all used them and couldn't say enough good things about how happy they were and how well the projects went. It took a little longer than expected to get our roof but it was due to weather delays. Once they got started it took two full days (no working on Sunday). They actually finished as it was starting to rain again. The roof looks great. In fact my immediate neighbor just used them and are just as pleased. In fact they did the roof and painted the house as well.

As far as the roof goes, they did a fine job. However, there was an issue regarding our chimney…read moreand the roof damage in that area, which our insurance co. threatened to cancel our policy over, if it wasn't repaired in a certain amount of time. The rep from Poe that handled our case kept saying that he was trying to get the insurance co. to cover the chimney work also. I told him that, in order to not get our policy cancelled, we were perfectly willing to pay them to just go ahead and fix it. At that same time, I also asked him to give me an estimate for replacing the siding on our house too...so they could have made a LOT more money from us if he had just ACTED on what I was requesting. But he just kept saying the same thing every time I called, and eventually he stopped returning my calls and texts, and I haven't heard from him since. I ended up having to hire another company to take care of the repair, in order to not have our insurance policy cancelled, and they also got the job of replacing the siding, and painting the whole house. And I STILL have not heard a word from Poe, or received the estimate I requested. Bottom line: They can do a good roof job, but once they have their money, they don't have the time of day for you. So if you decide to go with Poe construction, 'Good luck'.
