He collaborated with me and improved on my initial design, always focused on enhancing the final result. He also suggested practical ways to manage costs--like having me purchase certain furnishings--without compromising the quality or look I wanted thus providing a finished product well below every other quote I was provided by others. Admittedly the project was unique as a hidden speakeasy, but he approached it as something fun and unique.
