Note that the parking is along the street (two hour limit). I doubt they would ticket you, though. You could also park at the Escondido library.

Losing my mom was one of the most painful experiences of my life, but the kindness and care we…read morereceived from this mortuary helped carry us through it in a way I'll never forget. From the very beginning, Thomas and Jodi treated us and my mother with gentleness, dignity, and deep respect. Jodi was exactly the person we needed to guide us through the difficult paperwork and the emotional process of choosing the final items for my mom's goodbye. She made it feel manageable, even when it felt like the world was falling apart. Thomas... I don't even have words for how grateful I am for him. He has a gift, he can read a room with so much grace and compassion. On one of the worst days of my life, he made things bearable somehow. He honored my mom as a vessel that carried her spirit, and he was deeply respectful of our traditions. He's a truly special person, and I will never forget his presence during that time. I hope I don't have to return for a long time, but when the time does come again, I wouldn't trust anyone else with the sacred task of preparing a loved one for the next world. This place and its people are a blessing during such a difficult time.

This is a nice down home mortuary. Staff are pleasant and they offer many services here. Parking…read morelot is very large for big services. I would have liked to have seen the water fountain running and clean. I know with the climate it's hard but if it's not working, please fix it. Gives grieving humans somewhere to sit when dealing with the loss of a loved one. If it's too expensive to fix or run, tear down and install a nice meditation garden, rose garden or something for your customers as they visit your establishment in sad times. There is a tv and sound system for services and slide shows. Kitchen area is a little small and dark. Could use some updating with newer soft lights or just modern aesthetics. Overall a great choice if you need these services.

My close friends husband unexpectedly passed away, and I was fielding all of the arrangement coordination and conversations. Never having to handle something like this before, I found that there were dozens of phone calls and e-mails necessary, lots of information to be exchanged, etc. Not once did Tanya ever give me a hard time being the fact that I wasn't direct family or next of kin. She was so helpful and patient through every step of the way and really helped me manage all the details I needed to process with the family. She was also so compassionate and kind in every conversation both with me, and my friend who was obviously more distraught. Any time I called the mortuary and Tanya wasn't available, both Darren and Hollis always offered to help and always relayed information back to Tanya. There wasn't a single time I was expecting a call back and didn't get one. They always followed through. I'm so sorry if you're reading this review because you've lost someone special, but if God for bid I had to do this again, I would absolutely do it with Tanya.
