This is a new store featuring mostly Turkish confectionery, like Turkish Delight and Baklava. Most products are made and shipped from Turkey. A few products are from Georgia, Belgium, and Germany. Everything is by 100g weight, so you can mix and match. They also sell jars or (like olive, artichoke, cherry pepper) and many tea leaves. They soft-opened on 2023-10-01 at 16:00, and I happened to walk by! There are many samples. I'm like a kid in a candy store! If you want to try something, just ask. The samples I had tasted good! The staff are very helpful at explaining each item. There must be hundreds of different items for sale. There is free WiFi. The store is wheelchair accessible. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2023-326

Their display of Turkish delight is stunningly colourful, eye-catching and impressive! I tried the Turkish delight with a creamy centre and a fruity/berry outside layer. The outside layer had a very interesting chewy texture. Staff is excellent, helpful and friendly, happy to explain what the different confections are. What a Beautiful sweets store!

Such a large selection of sweets, including Turkish delight, baklavas, gummy candies, chocolate, and also teas! It's well organized and everything looks so beautiful. The ladies behind the counters were very nice and also offered me samples. Most desserts in the glass cases are priced by weight. I tried the baklava and tahini halva with sesame, they were fresh and were delicious! I liked that the baklava was perfectly sweet enough, the halva melted in my mouth! A great place to check out if you're in the area and craving dessert or needing a gift!

The employees that work here need to get on the same page in terms of pricing. The first time I went here I ordered a small box and we got about 15 pieces for $24. The previous employee packed that box and she told us it's by grams. Similarly the second time I went. Today I went back to the shop and literally 10 pieces that employee told me it's $3.50 a piece, but because I got the box shes gonna give me a discount and therefore it's $24 and I'm thinking to myself how is it that last time we got about 15 pieces and today you give me 10 and you're telling me still $24. I went with my mom and I was trying to explain to her the different varieties they had and the employee kept cutting me off, and it came to a point where I told her , can you give us a moment. At the end, when the employee realize I was getting frustrated with her, she had the audacity to compliment my outfit and then asked me if I've been there before and then was reasonably surprised when I told her I've been there twice before. I'm not sure if it's by piece or gram but either way, this time, it felt like a scam and the service was horrendous.

I saw this place while passing by Yonge-Dundas area on a Thursday evening after work. The various colourful sweets made me curious and drew me into this store. The place was filled with various kinds of sweets- packaged and unpackaged. There was a lot to see and explore. Since my friend's holiday party was coming up, I browsed the packaged sweets more closely to find a gift for him. The staff were friendly and helpful- they were stationed at various areas to help customers. I was helped by a friendly young man who narrowed down gift ideas for my friend. He also answered all my questions (e.g. What are the ingredients in Turkish sweets? Which ones are less sweeter than others? What is a halva and what does it taste like?) and gave me some samples to taste. In the end, I purchased two boxes of Turkish sweets (for my friend), a box of halva (6 pieces, from the counter at the back section), and a box of Turkish delights (3 pieces, from the counter at the front section). My favourite purchase was the box of halva- I loved the sweet and nutty taste, and the soft texture! I was happy that I learned about a different kind of sweets! A great addition to the downtown area! If you love sweets or know someone who does, come to this store to explore more!

Stumbled upon this place a few weeks ago during my lunch break. They sell Turkish desserts like Turkish delights, halva (learned that was a thing during my visit), chocolates, baklava, and other confectioneries. They also sell packaged coffee, tea, dried flowers, Haribo candy. In the back where the cash desk is, you can buy made-to-order coffee and tea. There's lots of selection here, perfect for treating yourself or getting a gift for a friend or loved one. Staff was helpful and friendly in answering all questions. My silly question: what's the difference between the different baklava? Their answer: they look different. The halva looked so interesting, but I'd never heard of it before. They explained what it was and even let me sample a piece. Their non pre-packed foods are sold by weight. I got 2 pieces of baklava and 1 chunk of the halva, and ended up paying about $6? Definitely less than $10. Overall, would highly recommend others check this place out!

Was walking along Yonge when the display caught our eye. They have a wide variety of desserts and flavours at the front, and also more options and a cafe with some seating at the back. We were able to try Turkish delight and halva. After trying the original halva flavour, we loved it and ended up getting the pistachio halva - delicious. We also got a savoury food to share. Will come back for the Turkish coffee and tea!

    Exquisite and unusual tea's

Do yourself a solid and step into this lovely spot! When you step in you are treated to some delicious samples of some unique sweets, and Turkish delight that I have never experienced before. This is not kitty candy. This is adult sweet treats that are thoughtful and elegant and delicious. I feel like I want to move to turkey just so I can have the stuff on hand all the time

These are some kind of nuts, suspended and candy but it looks like something from a butcher shop

The aesthetic and the attention to detail when it comes to these desserts flawless, and exceptional. I enjoyed every single bite of my dessert. It was fluffy and it melted in my mouth, and I wish I could just eat my screen right now just looking at it lol. For drinks, we got hot chocolates, and they had one of the best hot chocolates I've ever tasted, and I'm not exaggerating. It was the perfect drink and taste to eat my dessert. Location: The location is very pretty, but it's pretty casual. The seating is pretty close to other guests in the restaurant or tables of two if I'm not mistaken. This is a perfect place to go with friends or family or on a quick date or by yourself. This place looked like it was located on a main street with street parking, but because I was visiting in Toronto, I'm not sure how the parking works as we took Uber. Service: The service was great, and they were very friendly and answered any questions regarding the desserts on display to help us pick the perfect one for ourselves. They also brought the food to our table, including the drinks. I 100% would go back to this location.

The strawberry shortcake is fluffy, just the right about of cream and sweetness. The matcha tiramisu is rich in matcha flavour and just the right amount of sweet to offset the bitter matcha. The regular tiramisu has a strong and balanced coffee flavour. The black sesame cake has a great texture and strong black sesame flavour. I enjoy vanilla addition too. The mango cheesecake is really smooth and a real mango flavour (no artificial flavour). It's been popular when I bring cakes to gatherings , but I also enjoy popping by to grab a slice. They have 50% off older slices which is a steal if you visit on the right day. Haven't tried their cafe food or drinks but they do have a nice ambiance and seating.

It's probably easier to for them to order ahead of time, but they've been super accommodating with my last minute orders as well. Their prices are honestly quite good for the Yorkville area as well and I've seen baked goods and cakes go for much more around here.

I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Second, the guys who run this place - polite to everyone - smart storekeepers. A smile and a polite word keep people coming back. Despite the…read moresparse selection, the stale bulk candy and the expired goods, I came here because I loved the idea of an independent candy store. I will never again enter this business. I spent over $50 on a few items. The owner gave me an itemized receipt. As I was leaving the store, I saw that I was charged for the jumbo version of two items I purchased. I went back to the owner and respectfully showed him the receipt and the items. He was incredibly defensive, scanned the item and showed me the item was marked at the price it should be, but still showed as 'jumbo.' I asked him to scan the jumbo item so I could see I was not being charged for a jumbo and it truly was a system error. He scanned it and nothing was showing up. I'm not entirely sure on this point - but I feel like he was trying to enter a higher price for the jumbo as I stood there so he could justify the incorrect price. I asked for either a refund or to be given the jumbo item since that's what I was being charged for. I don't care if there's an error in your system. Fix it - it's not my problem. The real problem was how this was dealt. The owner wouldn't let me get two words in. He spoke over me for a solid 5 minutes. I kept asking if I could be given the courtesy of explaining what was wrong since he clearly wasn't understanding. I said 'I've been shopping here for ten years. Can you please just let me explain what the problem is without talking over me?" And he said "I don't care. This store's been open for 25 years. It doesn't need you." I was floored. Just a verbal barrage of condescension and abuse. It's a shame. Ten years of patronage out the drain. It's funny that he wrote a review on here asking patrons to give the store another chance. After that display, I'm making it my mission to spread the word on how you shouldn't. The service was the worst I've ever experience in my life. Half the items I purchased are literally expired. Everything is insanely marked up ($10 for a 180g chocolate bar, $3.29 for a regular sized push pop that's not imported). You can also find most everything elsewhere. Bulk barn has a great selection of Jelly Belly's. Also - check your receipts before leaving.
