I've been wearing clothing from both over the last 4-5 years in shirts and trousers and just find them to be the best for my daily casual wear. 5.11 Tactical offers great looking clothing that fits the needs of law enforcement, first responders, and perhaps in some cases, military personnel. I find their pants and shirts comfortable, with stretch material that gives breathing room as you wear them. I especially like the various types of trousers they offer as they have multiple pocket sets (in some cases even pockets within pockets) because it gives me the space to put some small camera gear when I'm out on YouTube video shoots or doing photography for myself or my channel. Now, you won't find suits for church here but I will say their pants and shirts are certainly good enough to wear when you attend church! It's my type of wear weekly. As for value, note that 5.11 is a specialty store, which means you will pay oftentimes above what you may expect. This shop does not offer military discounts, BUT I will say that you can find great deals when they have clearance sales. I left with a bundle during my visit. Also, if you are military, you can get 5.11 Tactical apparel at the Navy Exchanges at 20 percent off or on special occasions at 40 percent off. That is to say, there are still good ways to get deals on 5.11 clothing - it's how I purchase all of mine. In addition to shirts, trousers, and shorts, you can find excellent boots and reinforced shoes designed for law enforcement and first responders here. I'd like to get a pair for trail walking - I may do that soon! The service from the employees here on this day was excellent! I spent roughly 30 minutes looking at clothes and shoes. Winnie saw me carrying around three pairs of jeans and asked if she could put them in a dressing room for me while I continued shopping. Yes please! I wish all stores offered this type of service;) I tried on many items and decided to buy two pants and three shirts. My bill was roughly $45. Be sure to bring your own shopping bag as do not offer them. And sign up for rewards so you earn credits and an annual birthday coupon. I will absolutely be coming back to Uptown Cheapskate!

The blazers and jackets immediately caught my eye, especially since that's exactly what I'm currently in the market for. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of being left alone versus being swarmed the moment I walk into a store. Great representatives know how to strike that balance perfectly. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Despite walking through the entire store, nearly every employee remained glued to their phones, with only one person even looking up to acknowledge my presence. It ultimately left me disappointed, not because I expect over-the-top attention, but because I genuinely appreciate a great suit shop and the experience that is supposed to come with it. A quality suit store has always been about more than just expensive jackets on a rack. The experience, professionalism, atmosphere, and attention to detail are just as much a part of what customers are paying for as the suit itself. Unfortunately, it feels like John and Craig has completely lost sight of that at this location.
