The Armada receptionists have been friendly and efficient. But the star for me has been therapist Victoria P. She gave me the tools to strengthen and stretch my knee, calves, feet and hips, the supporting structures and answered all my questions. Some find my need to understand fine points and particulars as annoying. (Can you believe it?!) But Victoria loved it! She had all the answers and explanations this OCD patient needed. I'm not yet 100 percent and at 73 might never be again. But she gave me the on-going tools to add to my regular work-outs that this old warrior needs to stay joyfully on the tennis court. We were in the car driving because we live 40+ minutes away. The remaining appointments were silently cancelled shortly after. The office did not bother to call us, we called them before our scheduled appointment to verify. No one answered so we left a message. Our call was not returned. We called another location that didn't offer OT, and they are the ones that told us all our appointments had been cancelled. Without commenting on Maggie's competency, we find the treatment we were given by the front office utterly unacceptable.

The staff are kind and attentive. Everyone there genuinely wants to see the patients thrive and reach goals. We have had two different therapists and they are all great. They have even helped us with her school IEP on what she needs to help her during school hours. They are always willing to talk to the teachers. Only downside is it can take over a year to get in with them. I think we waited 14 months on the waiting list. I am not deducting any stars because that is how many OT places are. Just really long wait times. My daughter was on 3 different waiting lists and we figured we would take the first that could get her in, but ExplorAbilities was our top choice. So pleased they called first!

After my session, for several days, I was aware that my body seemed to be reorganizing..updating! I already have a lot of body awareness, and can appreciate why Ashley also offers her movement classes. I think to get the full benefit of a table session, aware movement is very helpful. We've been to a few places around town (Chatterbox, Indigo), and each of them, including this one, has pretty typical management. This means some decisions they make are frustrating and other aspects run smoothly. We had a wonderful therapist at Indigo who unfortunately quit. The management only gave us one weeks' notice despite having like a month's foresight, and we were left without a therapist, which is why we tried Climbing Tree. The speech therapist we were assigned here, Sarah, is dedicated, devoted, and serious about helping her patients improve. And for this experience (going on for half a year now), we're giving this place 5 stars. But be aware your mileage may vary greatly, and it is always worth exploring all your options.

For nearly a month I drove 18-miles one way, to basically clean the office, top to bottom including the bathroom. I was there to gain experience in the field of Occupational Therapy so that I might know that this is indeed the field for me. Schools require service in the field and it's become harder to get this exposure coupled with intense competition. As a result Climbing Tree Therapy Clinic has become one of many such private clinics that uses people, hard-working students trying to do the right thing, as nothing more than salary-free housemaids. Unlike the big hospitals where I had over 130hrs volunteering in the field of PT, with a set schedule of therapists you help out and shadow, There was absolutely no structure here. In addition no background checks, no communicable disease tests or vaccinations as does most places to protect clientele (e.g., TB testing and criminal record check) considering they work primarily with children this is concerning and yet my suggestions fell on the deaf ears of the administration head. I would often show up an hr earlier than the staff with nothing to do, so I would read various books on OT. Then when staff would show up, I would hear 2nd and 3rd hand that I wasn't busy enough?!?! This place desperately needs some training on how to best use folks valuable time so that it's a positive experience all around. I just couldn't believe how badly I was treated and I was "Giving" my time, that's what a volunteer is and should be appreciated not told to go scrub a toilet because there is no proper management.

After having an accident where a pickup truck struck me while riding my bicycle, and spending four…read moreweeks in the hospital,I was sent to Lovelace Rehab for a little over two weeks. First off, I was extremely disappointed with the room that I was given. I was put in with one other fellow who with no fault of his own, had a horrible continuous cough day and night. To make matters worse, he was close to deaf which caused him to have his tv so loud I could not use mine at all. I complained to several of the staff and he would then turn the tv down for a while but then it would go back up. The rooms are very old and extremely out dated. I don't expect them to be totally remodeled, but fresh paint and new floor coverings would greatly help. I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. When having to call for assistance, always came in a very timely manner. Never had to make a second call. The therapist on staff were also wonderful, which made my recovery experience as pleasant as could be. Was impressed with the equipment they had and the staff was vigilant about cleaning everything after being used and before another patient used. My other complaint was the food! Hospital food is hospital food, but this was horrid. Thankfully UNMH was much better. Couldn't have put up with it for four weeks. All in all, with the staff and therapists, my stay was acceptable. If it wasn't for the room and food, I could of given Lovelace five 's.

Dr. Dickie is a pill pusher. My brother is there recovering from a TBI, after being there for 30…read moredays he has become depressed due to minimal socialization. The doctor was pushing anti-depressants when he knows our end goal is to have him off medication. My mom is the power of attorney and told the doctor absolutely not to the medication he was pushing on my brother. After my mom left, he went back into the room to convince my brother to get on a low dose. Disgusting!! All they want is money by putting you on medication that creates more side effects for more money. I will definitely be reporting this doctor and do not reccommend this place. After 30 days of being there my brother has had very little improvements.
