She has a master in speech pathology from UNM. Under her ownership she has another speech therapist and a occupational therapist who worked with her. My little one has been attending with Emma for about 1.5 years and he went from not being able to talk to 2-3 words sentences. As a mother is heave seem how much of an impact Emma has had on my child's leathering and verbal development. At the bosque farms location they also offer horse back therapy which is lots of fun. All in all this is definitely a trusted and reliable speech therapy center for pediatric patients.

We've been to a few places around town (Chatterbox, Indigo), and each of them, including this one, has pretty typical management. This means some decisions they make are frustrating and other aspects run smoothly. We had a wonderful therapist at Indigo who unfortunately quit. The management only gave us one weeks' notice despite having like a month's foresight, and we were left without a therapist, which is why we tried Climbing Tree. The speech therapist we were assigned here, Sarah, is dedicated, devoted, and serious about helping her patients improve. And for this experience (going on for half a year now), we're giving this place 5 stars. But be aware your mileage may vary greatly, and it is always worth exploring all your options.

For nearly a month I drove 18-miles one way, to basically clean the office, top to bottom including the bathroom. I was there to gain experience in the field of Occupational Therapy so that I might know that this is indeed the field for me. Schools require service in the field and it's become harder to get this exposure coupled with intense competition. As a result Climbing Tree Therapy Clinic has become one of many such private clinics that uses people, hard-working students trying to do the right thing, as nothing more than salary-free housemaids. Unlike the big hospitals where I had over 130hrs volunteering in the field of PT, with a set schedule of therapists you help out and shadow, There was absolutely no structure here. In addition no background checks, no communicable disease tests or vaccinations as does most places to protect clientele (e.g., TB testing and criminal record check) considering they work primarily with children this is concerning and yet my suggestions fell on the deaf ears of the administration head. I would often show up an hr earlier than the staff with nothing to do, so I would read various books on OT. Then when staff would show up, I would hear 2nd and 3rd hand that I wasn't busy enough?!?! This place desperately needs some training on how to best use folks valuable time so that it's a positive experience all around. I just couldn't believe how badly I was treated and I was "Giving" my time, that's what a volunteer is and should be appreciated not told to go scrub a toilet because there is no proper management.

His primary care doctor is Laura Abeyta at the Golf Course location. We have never had complaints regarding Dr. Abeyta, but after what recently happened to my son, it is not hard not to question the whole practice. On July 10th I took my son to the Holly location around 8:45pm; as he was having symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting. The provider he saw at the time was Rebecca Webb. I had given my son pain medication prior to the appointment so he seemed okay so only a physical exam was given but no further testing was done nor medication prescribed or recommended. The provider stated it could just be a stomach bug as something is going around, so we then proceeded to go home. My son and I were going to be traveling the next day so I was very persistent with letting them know we would be traveling, and I was scared my son would get worse on the way. The following morning my son woke up with a fever and had exploding diarrhea, I then called After Hour Pediatrics back to let them know my son's symptoms had worsened and I asked if they recommend, I take him in to be seen again? They stated he would be okay to just "let him go through it". I listened to them. I trusted them. As my son and I are traveling he is not doing good. We were traveling to Juarez and as soon as we made it in, I took him to a doctor, and they stated he was not well and needed to be taken to the hospital asap... We immediately crossed over to El Paso and took my son to the El Paso Children's Hospital Emergency room where he was immediately checked in and properly checked, come to find out that he had appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix, if ruptured you can die or cause complications). Unfortunately, my son's appendix did rupture which caused him to have more complications during his recovery. During recovery he absorbed an ileus (where your small intestine becomes paralyzed causing bowel obstruction). My son had to have 2 back-to-back surgeries; he was in ICU for 3 days... He was hospitalized for 10 days. Thankfully to God, powerful prayers from family and friends, and the amazing El Paso Children's Hospital Pediatric team my son is healthy and alive. I just wanted to share my story because my son could have died... I do not want any other parent or kid to go through what we went through... Had I not taken the extra step he would not be here. I put trust in After Hour Pediatrics and they let my son and I down. I am very disappointed with the way my son was not properly attended here. We will not be returning to any After Hour Pediatrics, although it may not have been all the providers fault but my son has had complications of constipation since he was a newborn, I never thought anything of it but now with finding out what my son had, could this have been prevented had Dr. Abeyta done more throughout testing during the constipation visits and maybe would have had the surgery done sooner? and the provider he saw that night, seemed like she wanted to go home as she did no testing, no labs, no ultrasounds and no medications were given, nothing was done besides an annual physical exam, if that, then the following morning another provider basically was trying to get me off the phone and did not properly advise me. It seems like the whole practice could learn something from this. Regardless I feel like this could have been prevented by After Hour Pediatrics had they properly diagnosed my son. Please never stop trusting your own gut and always stay fighting for your kid, be their advocate.

The staff are kind and attentive. Everyone there genuinely wants to see the patients thrive and reach goals. We have had two different therapists and they are all great. They have even helped us with her school IEP on what she needs to help her during school hours. They are always willing to talk to the teachers. Only downside is it can take over a year to get in with them. I think we waited 14 months on the waiting list. I am not deducting any stars because that is how many OT places are. Just really long wait times. My daughter was on 3 different waiting lists and we figured we would take the first that could get her in, but ExplorAbilities was our top choice. So pleased they called first!

It is a fairly large place with I'm estimating 8-9 rooms. They would not say if I was within 6 feet or any other distance of the infected person. Because of this refusal and that they were so eager to book a tele appointment I can only assume they are incompetent in dealing with this public health emergency and instead are more concerned about $$$ Truth is always best.
