Hell yeah!!! My usual masseuse wasn't available and I was desperately looking for someone who did deep tissue/sports massages. The booking process was so easy. I appreciate that I could book myself online as smaller business it's a text/call situation. After my first massage I immediately signed up for the membership. I was hesitant until I asked more and realized it's not an additional cost to be a member, it's just a way to prebook once a month. No gimmick. No catch. Just a 6 month commitment and best part, credit rolls over. Kind of unheard of these days. Additionally Donzell was the best. I knew I was with the right person once he said he worked on football players. I'm very active and always had tight traps. Two sessions in and I'm already feeling a difference (this is with additional work on my own too, stretching, acupuncture). And price does match quality of experience. 10/10, new customer turned member. read more

Jennifer is my go-to massage therapist! She does an AMAZING job and I always leave feeling so light and relaxed. All other massage therapists are great and the front desk staff/manager are always sweet and friendly. Can't wait for my next one! read more

I had an amazing massage with Jen Lang. She quickly identified the areas that needed attention, including my neck, back, and the muscles surrounding my sciatic nerve. Her technique was both therapeutic and relaxing. The massage was so effective and relaxing that I was able to completely unwind and be fully present throughout the session. I left feeling refreshed, restored, and significantly better than when I arrived. Jen is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly gifted at what she does. I highly recommend her and will definitely be back. I had an amazing massage with Jen Lang. I absolutely love this place. We've been going to them for years and I can't imagine getting a better massage than I get from Jennifer! Every person that works there are so kind and professional. Had a great massage provided by Hiroe. She worked out the deep knots in my shoulders and I walked out feeling much better than when I walked in. Everyone at FH&W from front office staff to the therapist put the patient first and work to solve the underlying issues. I highly recommend booking with them you will not be disappointed. read more

Amazing people who know how to help you feel better / great training they have received .

I've been coming to Functional Health + Wellness since they opened, and let me just say, they are the absolute BEST. Sydney is always in the front, greeting everyone with a huge smile. I've gotten massages by a few of their masseurs over the years. Jessie recently left on maternity leave but she was a deep tissue rockstar. Such a gem, I miss her already. I'm currently going to Kaila, and she is probably my favorite massage therapist I've ever had. She's so personable and kind, she really listens to your problems and tailors your massage to exactly how you want it. I almost don't want to recommend this place because I want it to stay my own little secret oasis, but I know I can't be selfish anymore. read more

FHW is the ultimate gem of Ventura County. No one is offering what they bring to the table, and the results/experience are always consistent. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend starting with a Functional Assessment with Beau. Beau fully assessed my body and posture and was able to confirm, and better explain, issues I was having, as well as identify some other problem areas I was unaware of. I guess the area of pain isn't always the source! The assessment gives both, you and the staff, the information needed to know what treatments/methods are needed to properly treat you. This place really listens and pays attention to what you and your body need. Fernando is a SAINT and has completely fixed my posture and alleviated so much pain and discomfort. They use a wide range of techniques to get your body back to tip-top shape and give you tips on exercises and stretches to do at home to avoid future misalignment/injury/etc. FHW is the only place that made such an impression I didn't have to think twice to sign up for a membership (which is really more of a once a month commitment with a discount!). Finding this place was the best thing I've done for myself! read more

Love this place! Excellent massage and bodywork! And super easy to schedule online. Highly recommend!

I'm recovering from upper back spinal fusion surgery. I've been seeing Heather for the past few months and she is amazing! I love that she uses a variety of techniques and approaches to work on areas that need attention - not just my back. She also has great suggestions for things I can do at home to stimulate healing and work on tight areas. My upper back still hurts from my following a strong PT program and being very active, but after I leave Heather, it feels so relaxed and comfortable. I highly recommend her if you're aching and I'm sure she gives an amazing pure relaxation massage, too! read more

I've gone a few times, specifically for my extremely tight legs. They've been in lot of pain, making it difficult to walk. I've had a few massages here so far, and they've all been great, but Fernando worked on my extremely tight legs for the entire hour and did some magic! Deep tissue, cupping, gua sha - my legs are breathing again. Thank you so much! read more

BEST AND I MEAN ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PLACE TO GET YOUR HEALING !!!! I have been dealing with chronic pain since 2017 after a car accident. I have spent so much money on physical therapy massage therapy having different types of memberships and although those massages we're good there is nothing that compares to this private owned company. It's super chill. Everybody is so nice. The owner is so sweet. It feels like family honestly and I'm telling you. These therapists are different. They literally heal you on a deeper level. I can feel things structurally moving around and actually my body is like rebalancing itself into the correct position. It's so amazing , because I am so sensitive that I literally can feel this working on such a deeper level. The work that they do is highly effective and I'm telling you it's worth it. The membership is an amazing price and these therapists are literal specialists with the human body . And their dedication is shown through their hands and the feeling of movement and freedom you get in the body ( long lasting ) . Sidney is one of the owners and you've got to call her and have a chat especially l, if you deal with any type of chronic pain or just need relaxation or even if you've been going to physical therapy and you feel like that's not enough I'm telling you this place is the whole package. You've got to call check and check it out, you will be absolutely addicted and I hope that they never leave. I found this place on my birthday and it has been a gift ever since! Plus you get a few free sessions of yoga , at a studio in Camarillo . I'm pretty sure they're still doing that deal when you sign up for the membership . Theres no hidden fees or contracts or having to sign up for a year. You do commit to at least three months because it's important to at least feel and see the difference it's making , if you just do one there's no point. So to me that makes sense but they are so flexible and so kind about needing to reschedule . I can't say enough about them . Absolutely so stoked ! I don't think I've ever written a review this long, I'm telling you you've got a check it out you guys , this is your healing time! Thank you to all of the staff! Blessings to this business to flourish . God is definitely apart of this environment! Xoxo - sivan ( customer for life ) read more

I've seen two massage therapists here, Jennifer & Bryan, who both give excellent massages. I came in this afternoon with neck and shoulder pain that I couldn't fix on my own and Bryans technique made all the difference, I left feeling like a brand new person! I have been here about a handful of times & plan to continue going back. Very clean establishment, child friendly, & great service! read more

What a gem of a spot! Small massage studio with an AMAZING staff. Very welcoming and friendly! Had a small scheduling glitch and they could not have been nicer and any more helpful than they were. I highly recommend Amber. read more

I've seen Beau for the past two years for sports massage. He has helped prepare me for, and helped me recover from, running road marathons up to 100 mile trail races. He's been an integral part of my small arsenal of practitioners. Beau is always professional. He takes time before each appointment to ask questions about what I'm recovering from or preparing for, specific injuries and pain points, and then proceeds to follow through with a treatment that is just as we discussed. Beau has never given me the same massage twice and employs a variety of techniques to bring mobility and relaxation. I can't recommend him enough! read more

I have been coming to Functional Health + Wellness for over a year now( monthly subscription) and I have had a massage at least once by each of the therapists; I have to say that I have been very happy with each one of them. The customer service is top-notch, their hands are magical, and the space is very relaxing. read more

Went to Beau for a hamstring issue. Was recommended to him by my yoga instructor. She thought I would benefit from a manual therapy session, I didn't know much about it but was so uncomfortable I was willing to try anything. With just one session I finally felt some relief . First time in months. I would highly recommend this company. The owners are friendly and committed to taking care of their clients. Check out their services and give them a try. You won't be disappointed I'm sure!! read more

Honestly there is not enough great works to describe Beau, he is absolutely amazing! He's been my trainer for the last couple of months now and I have seen the biggest changed in myself than I ever had with any other trainer. Not only has my body changed, my mind has changed with working out. I actually want to work out on the weekends now?!?! Who would of known! I feel like a healthier person, a happier person, and all around great about my changing body. His style of training is so efficient because for some reason you actually want to do the work out. Believe me there are some morning where I don't want to even move but I keep going knowing the results I'm going to get. I ever had a STRANGER tell me how great my body is and that never happens! Not only is the training going so well it's actually fun, I am constantly laughing and having a great time. I will never go to another trainer. I'm so happy and grateful to find one that actually cares, listens and not only am I seeing results other people I don't even know are!! read more

This is definitely not a place to come for a relaxing massage, so just know that it won't be a spa vibe or anything like that. The massage room has no ceiling and is open to the lobby, so you will hear the phone ring, conversations, etc. I could hear a conversation between a patient and dr in the room next door. The masseuse I had kept stopping abruptly. At first I thought it was because she was wiping her nose which gave me some worry, so I asked politely if she was sick. She told me that no, she was just taking a break to stretch her neck. I completely understand that massage therapy is a very difficult and taxing profession, but I've never had someone continuously stop to stretch (or at least not in a way that I noticed/impacted the massage). She was very kind but it was the worst massage I've had. Maybe if you come for a particular PT issue, it might be a different story. But it was not the relaxing massage I'd hoped for. read more

This place is amazing! Jennifer is a fabulous masseuse. She combines accupressure and other modalities that really work for me. Go for a 90 minute deep tissue. You can also request cupping which is absolute heaven! My husband and I get a massage once per month. Jennifer is worth ever penny. Magic hands! read more

Made an appt for an hour massage and manual therapy for help with significant muscle muscle tightness and pain - first time client. Completed the online intake form (which clearly they didn't read) and provided the therapist a description of the problem when I arrived. The service provided was a basic massage without any focus on my areas of pain. In fact if I didn't ask the therapist to change their approach half way through the massage to focus on my pain, the area would never have been addressed. Once I asked there was a half-hearted attempt to massage the area. Given the description of the business on their website I expected a more comprehensive and focused approach and received a very basic massage. If you are looking for a tailored approach to address your pain I'd try somewhere else. read more

Beau and Sydney have the most wonderful establishment anywhere for making one's body work the way it was intended. Without charging more than a standard massage, Beau has realigned my hips so everything works right and NOTHING HURTS any more. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

Wow! Love this place. Great massage by Sean. He helped my pain and gave me some great stretches. The lobby area is beautiful, serene, and cozy. The music is nice so it drowns out some background noise. I've only been to a Chinese massage which causes more pain and cost $20 so I thought this price was expensive but it's worth it! read more

As an Ironman triathlete and former personal trainer, I've had many massages and have worked with a variety of LMTs. However, Beau's work stands out to me. He understands the unique demands of my sport and is able to apply therapeutic modalities that are beneficial to me. His approach is not generic by any means. Unlike other massages I've had, he is able to help relieve the nagging aches and pains I have from training and racing and is able to loosen up my tight muscles. Beau practices what he preaches and takes his own health and fitness very serious. His practice is not intended to serve as a short term relief, but to help coach and educate others about the exercises and stretches that can keep you performing at your best. Definitely worth a visit. You will not regret it! read more

Camarillo is very lucky to have Beau! I have never seen anyone so passionate for what they do. He is really gifted at what he does. I came in for myoskeletal alignment and Beau took the time to hear my story and then told me his game plan for me. At the end of the session he showed me a couple of stretches I could do at home. I definitely recommend going to Functional health! read more

My boyfriend went in to see Beau last week for some severe back and leg pain that he was having. He came back home with nothing but good things to say about his experience. Beau worked on his back and also taught him some stretches and movements to do at home. His back isn't completely back to normal but he reports it feeling significantly better. This is way better than a regular massage if you are hurting as it focuses on your areas of pain rather than a relaxing, full body massage. If you have tight muscles, back pain or any other areas of soreness.. you need to check this place out. We will definitely be back! So excited to have this new little gem in our neighborhood. read more

I'm a fan of Beau and Sydney. I met them a few months ago at a race expo, and decided to try out their massage services. I've never worked with a male masseuse before but Beau put me right at ease. He's very attentive to the aches and pains from my running and workouts. He also recommends certain exercises to help strengthen any weakness. I signed up for the monthly membership, and look forward to my massages. I'm also now working w/ Sydney on my nutrition. Not only is her enthusiasm contagious, but she truly works on finding the best solutions. I work full time and have little cooking experience, so Sydney's guidelines have helped a lot. It's the best I've felt in a couple of years: my energy is up, and I'm sleeping better. Thanks for all your work Beau and Sydney. Lynn N. read more

If you live in Village at the Park or anywhere near Southern California - I strongly suggest you check out functional health + wellness! I may sound like an infomercial but I've suffered from lower back pain, daily headaches, and leg pain for 5+ years now. Even though I've consistently worked through it, I deal with a TONNN of pain; probably due to lack of exercising and not eating well. I'm really at the point now where I'd probably pay thousands of dollars to get rid of just some of the pain, but for $65 a visit and just 2 visits in, I'm really starting to feel better already. Hopefully they don't raise the price on me for saying this, but it's welllll worth sixty five bucks every week (or even every other week)! Check it out, you'll thank me later. read more

I have been seeing Beau for manual therapy and personal training for nearly two years. He is hands down the best therapist I have ever encountered. Beau has helped me in times when fitness was my focus as well as through injuries and during and post pregnancy. His vast knowledge of human anatomy, experience dealing with wide range of conditions and the ability to apply various disciplines to provide a personalized approach is what makes him stand out. I've seen Beau for a pain in my knee that was occurring every time when (and after) running. I was training for a half-marathon so I could only visit Beau twice before that, and even so I was able to run it and the pain is completely gone. I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to do it without him, as he provided not only great physical therapy sessions, but also very good advices and exercises for me to get rid of that pain. And I need to mention that Beau and his wife are really friendly and kind. 5 Stars it is ! read more
