There is a picnic area and nice boardwalk. Excellent educational center where you can learn everything about manatees and eco systems. They also have a gift shop with lots all things manatee theme from clothing to cute souveniers. Great educational center for families to enjoy with their kids. It is free entrance and it is closed from April 1st through November 14th.

The observatory was awesome, the woman who was working was kind enough to re open the telescope after she closed it for the day. We came for the last showing. We got to see the sun and the sun spots. So unique to use a telescope during the day. The flight simulator was awesome too, never seen that at a science museum before. They dumbed down the controls but it was still fun to steer. And I landed the plane successfully!

For instance one of the staff members brought out an accordion and started to sing songs for all of the kids to sing along to. They also have different classes each day in the back room. Would definitely recommend to any fellow parents that need to get their kid out of the house for a bit. But if you have the max amount of players, it could be worth it. Staff could be more polite and patient. I didn't find my interaction charming when I was getting my bowling shoes. The bar area is a nice touch. Doesn't really fit the indoor theme of the place. I think something more whimsical like a carnival theme would have been better. I wanted to check out the arcade but it was too crowded and hectic with all the kids. It may be a fun family night out or a very casual affordable date idea. I don't know how soon I'll be coming back although I want to explore it more. There's even an outdoor racetrack it looked like. The Palm Beach Gardens Playground is a great recreational area to take the kids for play. I like…read morehow it is completely fenced in for safety. The playground is large and has a lot of climbing equipment, slides, and swings. This area of the park also has a covered pavilion with a picnic tables and a portable restroom. A few days ago a woman and her two daughters were shocked by the metal railing leading to the restroom. The city determined it was due to a leaky air conditioning unit on top of the restroom and they have fixed the issue. i would still caution against touching the railing just to be on the safe side. In the immediate area outside the playground there is even more for families to enjoy like a memorial meditation garden and aquatics center with pool, splash zone, and water slide. A brand new 30 million dollar community center is being built with a refurbished gym, wellness studio, cultural art space, art studios, rooms for STEM programs, new restrooms, and more. With the addition of the new community center this corner of Palm Beach Gardens is going to be an impressive gathering place for the community.

This company brought a petting zoo to my community event and I will be honest. They need to employ animal handlers that can not only protect the animals being poked, picked up and crowded over, but know how to be around kids and adults the same. The handler was so rudet and condescending when informed about an animal not looking well and obviously not wanting to be touched (while she chewed up the last bit of chips in her mouth). Being an animal handler myself, I was not about to argue in front of kids and people, but definitely will call the head of events at Parks and Recreations. If you're going to provide animals to entertain, make sure they are protected from people who don't know how to handle them and employ educated and delightful staff. Shameful.

I also love there's only one entrance to the playground, this is a huge plus since I'm usually with at least 3 kids (but 5-7 when we come here). There are shaded areas, water stations and restrooms.
